Me and my husband use Freshly during the week for meals when we get home late drom work. The food is execlent and quick, we look forward to them each week.
I tried Blue Apron before. It's good but it take a lot of effort and hassles especially for me who doesn't cook regularly. Freshly meals are all delicious all around. It's totally different from any frozen meal. You can still taste the freshness of it. Put it on one of your options.
Freshly food is overpriced and underportioned, but it is delicious and convenient. I don't know why my review needs a minimum 100 characters.
Excellent! Easy to order... arrives on time as promised. The food is packaged with excellent packaging material and very cold. We have not had a meal that we didn't enjoy. It has helped so much with a relaxed dinner time every night after work. We plan on ordering every week for quite sometime.
They are always punctual on time of delivery very fast and easy to order the food is wonderful I have never had a complaint
Love all the dishes except the shrimp scampi. One bite and I had to toss the entire dinner. I love seafood but now afraid to order any kind again.
The peppercorn steak is fabulous as is all the pasta dishes and chicken dinners.
We wish to cook for ourselves on the weekend. When we REALLY need Freshly meals are Monday - Friday. Considering that they were packed two days before we even get them, Saturday deliveries are not going to last to the following Thursday/Friday. Likewise, our current Wednesday or Thursday delivery is only needed by us for Wednesday through Friday nights, and we don't really want to let it sit until the following Monday - Tuesday, so we only order a few. I guess we could get two deliveries per week, but that would be an awful lot of wasted packaging. We would REALLY love it if you guys could package and mail meals on Fridays or Saturdays so that we could get them on a Monday delivery. If that were the case, we would order more, because weeknights is when we need them.
I absolutely love the food and concept, but you're asking for a change in lifestyle by joining your service. My order is now more than a day late, and I'd care a lot less if someone would have called or emailed me. Trying to limit your consumption by using your service means I've held less food in my house. I'm hungry and disappointed.
Update - The Freshly team responded with some enthusiasm and made it clear that they weren't aware of the delivery issue. I understand that their carriers may not be the most reliable, which is an unfortunate hitch in their business model they handled very well.
Still sceptical, but I like their food too much to stay mad.

Every meal I have eaten from Freshly.com has been delightfully delicious. Whether it's Home style meatloaf or Steak peppercorn, each meal is perfectly proportioned for one person and the taste of each meal should suit any pallette. If you like spicier, it suggests what to add.
The food for the most part is fantastic. It's a thrill getting to pick which meal I eat that day. But It's just always a little bit short on the serving sizes. A little extra food would go a long way for me.
I love everything about the service, accept it if I forget to update my meal options every week, I receive the same meal week after week. I would prefer to be on a plan that auto rotated to new options, even if it means that someday I ended up trying something new that I wouldn't normally like. It would be way better than ending up with duplicate meals.
I would expect more for the price of these meals. Side dishes are often WAY too spicy, (too much pepper!). And they take short cuts in preparation such as not peeling potatoes before slicing and cooking. Usually, I can only eat the main dish and, have to throw away the sides. I can't afford to do that at these orices. I contacted them with this info and they just told me then the meals may not be for everyone. Moving on to a healthier supplier.

Fabulous to have a good to great meal ready in five plus minutes. Had a hard day? No worries. Open the refrigerator and there's your selection. No defrosting. Freshly has made my life so much easier. After so many years of the "what's for dinner?", it's so incredible to the answer waiting at my convenience!
The food is very tasty and my husband Likes it! I'm handicapped and its super to pop the food in the microwave and it's ready. Very convenient!

This food is wonderful! I've tried almost everything, and I can say it is well worth the investment. Not only and I fueling my body with great food, I'm also looking forward to my meals! Less going out to eat because I get a great meal at home! Pro Tip: always microwave it on a plate and covered like the directions say! It's so good when you do it that way!
It would be nice to have more to choose from. It seems like we get repetitive. Choose different for our first few weeks and now seem to have the same choses.
I'm a single guy. Freshly has allowed me to have my meal situation figured out with minimal effort, I appreciate that very much. I can look forward to having a proper meal as opposed to what had become normal eating procedure for me (eating fast food often). I'm at least 5 boxes delivered in now and my experience has been great. Thank you Freshly team, you're doing awesome!

I love coming home and having to do nothing except heat.
My Experience with Freshly so far has been great, my only predicament tends to be eating the food before it expires. I thought by ordering more meals I would have food to last me all week but they tend to expire before i get a chance to eat. Customer services has been great in assisting me with my address change. My only complaint would be a variety of more foods and flavors.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
