The food tastes great and nicely proportioned. Love that it's healthy and calorie friendly. I often don't cook for myself if it's just me or I'm too busy I'll either skip meals or eat badly, so these pre-cooked meals are an answer and I don't feel guilty because they are healthy! I take them for lunch and have them for dinner several days a week! Life just got simpler and healthier for me!
The fact that you make the meal is awesome! Taste wise, its decent, I can't really complain because I don't have to cook it. My only feedback would be about the options. Your promo states there are different meals every week but that's not the case. We also do blue Apron and home chef and with those, although you have to cook the meals, they are different week to week. You have lots of options but we were hoping for more of a variety week to week vs the same meals and then the occasional new addition every once in a while.
Most of the meals have been good. It is nice no having to worry about what is for dinner. Our favorite is the peppercorn steak.
The service/delivery is definitely top tier and convenient. The food itself is just "whatever" (like a notch tastier than frozen food, but obviously more healthy). Its not bad, but absolutely nothing to write home about. If it was cheaper than $10 per meal, I might have a more positive view on this service; but for how the food taste in light of how much I'm paying, i don't think its worth it. The only reason why I'm still using Freshly is purely for the convenience factor. If there was a better (tastier) option out there, I'm gone.

Once a week 6 delicious meals are delivered to my home. My dinners are ready to eat in 5 minutes. No muss no fuss. I am at the point that I do not want to cook anymore but still want to eat healthy. Freshly is perfect!
Some of their dishes, particularly the pasta dishes, were very flavorful. I had hoped to enjoy more of their chicken dishes, but they seemed a bit dry without much flavoring or sauce. The saturated fat content can be a bit high, so be aware of that. The veggie sides were mainly green beans and kale, so that gets tiresome quickly. I ended up canceling because I just didn't like enough of the meals, and for the price, I can do better with store-bought food. However, the customer service was wonderful, and the delivery was prompt. I see complaints about people getting the same meals delivered when they didn't want them, but the meal selection website is very user-friendly to select your meals up to a month in advance. Yes, you have a deadline to select for the upcoming week, but it's pretty common sense to know when you need to choose your upcoming meals. If you end up liking more selections than I did, this would be a great service for you! It's worth a try; cancellation is easily done online if you're not satisfied.

I don't use that term lightly, either. The food is delicious and easy to prepare. It freezes well, and if I don't remember to thaw it out, I just add two minutes to the cook time. I especially love the Caribbean & Rustica chicken; the meatloaf and the creamy potatoes are wonderful too. Had the braised pork in rosemary - great. So far, all the entrees are keepers! Thanks y'all!
I was told about freshly by a friend! I thought I would try it out. I am hooked I have my favorite meals and I know what to expect. The packing is timely and most of all, recycleable.
Overall I've been quite pleased with Freshly
But one thing I wish we could do was mix and match entree items with sides on the dishes with two sections
For example I enjoyed the buffalo chicken dish but don't really care for cauliflower
The meals are delicious and so easy to prepare! I had a food service that required a lot of preparation (time) and energy (sometimes a recipe required the oven, and two stove-top uses for one meal). I like to just heat in the microwave, and serve!
I like to eat healthily, but I hold a full-time job as a Cyber Weapons Engineer and a part-time job as a CrossFit Coach, and I have come upon times when I don't have the amount of time necessary to cook a healthy meal and clean up afterward. This helps me with those times throughout the day when I can't eat the way due to time constraints. The meals have been very tasty, which is better than I've heard of similar services, and they are always offering new meals. I find the cost to be effective and worthwhile for what I need.
I love the convenience of Freshly. No cooking - just place your prepared meal in the microwave, and in a few minutes you have a delicious meal.
My roommate describes the food as bland. Could use more salt. I agree; but this is common with all the food services we tried.
I wish sometimes Freshly would let me randomize what I can get instead of having to get the same stuff every single week. I don't always want to go to the site and plan it out. HelloFresh did this but we had to cook it ourselves which was time consuming.
This has been wonderful for us. We had problems with the very first delivery but service has been stellar thereafter and customer service made it right. The food esp the pasta and the turkey have been outstanding as has the chicken with risotto.
It's great and it's helping me keep my weight in control. But... the kale, guys. Can you put it in an optional compartment?

I've been enjoying the meals since we started ordering them about 4-6 weeks ago. However, the chance to change your order from week to week should be greater... potentially an option to not send that weeks meals until choices are affirmed. Also, meal choice could be greater and it would be great if the sodium content could be reduced.

I continue to use this because I go to work full-time and school full time so making a meal for myself isn't an option. They are convenient and the deliver on time. The reason they lost a star is because unlike some other meal delivery you can't pick as many meals as you want some weeks to have more and some to have less so that kinds sucks.

I'm liking my food. I actually eat it mostly for breakfast... but I wish I had more options. I know I'm a bit picky... but I wish I had a few more options to choose from.

Freshly has delicious meals in perfect sizes but I wish there were more meal delivery day options. My husband and I both work and getting deliveries on Monday would be optimal so we could enjoy the meals during the week instead of cooking. We get Saturday delivery and those need to be eaten by weds.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
