We are very satisfied with the service and the food we selected.
Our meals have been delivered on the day that it is scheduled to be delivered.
There are times when we add a little something to our dishes to personalize it to our taste and not because the food isn't good.
I appreciate this service because we are very busy people who are soon-to-be emptynesters. Our youngest is in high school and is very busy with school. I was always accustomed to cooking for 5 people, not really good at cooking for two. My husband and I find ourselves eating out a lot because its often just the two of us and almost always spending as much on one take out meal for the two of us as we do on a weeks worth of meals from Freshly for the both of us. Saving a lot of money there that we can spend on grand kids or weekend trips.:)
The quality of the food is better than I expected. Some portions look small, however, they have always been filling. I haven't had a meal that didn't satisfy me. It helps me not to overeat.
These meals are definitely healthier than the meals I would normally eat, which were not always healthy.

I really enjoy being able to take a break from cooking without having to eat fast food! I've had one shipment not arrive and got an immediate response by email and fast refund on my credit card. I really appreciated the quick service!

Now I have time for more in life because of Freshly. I no longer stand in long lines at the grocery store, i have time for life, business, friends, grand children and last but not least time for me.
It's good food. I'm grateful for it when I come home starving after a long day at work. I'm just kinda getting tired of the same stuff every week.
2 weeks ago, the company after changing delivery vendors to save money did not deliver the meal that I ordered because the Courier returned it to the warehouse, and I had to miss a week of food. That was bad enough with so much go around but then it got worse today. Completely awful! - my account was charged 3 times because it said it was declined but my bank saw three times that it was approved and therefore money wasn't available to pay a bill that was due to another vendor because freshly took money that wasn't theirs and held it and never contacted me about it. I've been a long time customer I am completely livid about this whole situation the way that it was handled, the way that it was unprofessionally managed, the way that I wouldn't be reimbursed, and I am no more going to be a customer of theirs nor am I ever going to refer anybody to them ever again because of how I was treated. This is unacceptable customer service! I am completely done with freshly and I hate the fact of how I've been treated! Anybody want to contact me to discuss this further feel free to do so but until then, these guys have a lot to learn about customer service and how to treat others. I have nothing more to say.

I am an elderly woman who lives alone. It's easy to skip meals or eat something unhealthy. With Freshly, I have four balanced and delicious meals a week. I happen to like healthy food like kale, butternut squash, roasted turkey with quinoa stuffing!
No "Meals on Wheels" for me. By the way, delivery is always prompt, despite living in a very rural area.
Have been enjoying having Freshly cook for me. Most of the proteins are first rate. The veggies can get a bit monotonous though.
I am not sure if it is freshlys fault or fedex but i woke up today to fedex tracking saying it was delivered to my front door and nothing there. So i go to my mailbox and looked there to make sure it wasnt there... nothing. This is my first order and most definitely my last. Will not be recommending this to anyone. Would also like to say i was at the address on time of delivery and my alarm system didnt pickup anything at the time of delivery.

Like most people nowadays, I'm a very busy person. I barely have time to relax for a bit when I get home from work, let alone make dinner. Freshly has helped tremendously with that. I love not having to worry about dinner anymore. As far as taste goes... After trying a bunch of their meals, I've figured out which ones I like the best. And the ones I like are REALLY good. However, I wish the menu changed more often, as I've been ordering the same meals for weeks now. I don't agree with the reviewers who say the food is too spicy. I'm extremely spice-averse and I can tell you I haven't tried anything that I considered even remotely spicy. Their chicken is always perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I absolutely LOVE the Peppercorn Steak. And I'm pleasantly surprised at how well these meals heat up in the microwave. I was skeptical at first, but you would never know these were heated in a microwave. They taste like you just made them fresh. And I also don't agree about the price. I order 6 meals a week, and pay just under $10 a meal. There's no way you would pay that little for these meals in a restaurant... and I consider these meals fine-restaurant quality. All in all, I'm very happy with my experience so far. Freshly was a great find. Try it for yourself... you can always cancel. But if you are looking for an easy way to have a fresh, healthy dinner ready for you every night, you definitely should give them a try.
Freshly has honestly changed my life. I love how easy it is to fit in a healthy meal with my crazy busy college schedule. There's no clean up or prep time, and it's quality food. Couldn't ask for anything more!
Very good food, Even cooks up nicely in micro wave. Perfect for people who want to eat healthy, hot meals, but no real time to prepare for that scenario.
I am so happy that I started this service. The food is great. The service is convenient and the website is easy to use. I contacted customer service once because I had a question and they quickly helped me out. I can't think of how Freshly could be any better. The food being healthy and of course delicious is the most important thing.
Great for work lunches and weekday dinners. Love that they are healthy and not too many calories. Only complaint is that I there was more variety.

First ordered for my daughter and her husband as a gift after they had a baby, then continued the service for my husband and I. We love the portions, variety, taste, and quality. Perfect for a couple of empty nesters to don't like to cook anymore!

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
