Veggie bowl is dry. Meatloaf is delicious. A savory frittata/quiche would be a nice addition. Some other suggestions... a carbonara; a salmon dish; chicken spaghetti.
I'm a young professional who lives an active lifestyle. After work, I spend about 90 minutes at the gym before I head home. Before freshly, I would either spend another 45 minutes cooking, then another 20 minutes or so cleaning up. Plus, I was cooking a lot of the same, boring recipes that I had become accustomed to. That precious evening time adds up. The other food service providers sound great, but it again requires time to cook. With Freshly, I get great tasting meals that are very healthy, and I don't have to worry about wasting time cooking or cleaning up. At about $10/meal, it's cheaper than takeout, and healthier, too.
Weve tried other fresh delivery programs, but after a busy day the last thing we need is to come home and follow directions, mess up the kitchen, cook, eat, and clean up the mess! Freshly provides healthy, organic, delicious meals that are gourmet chef prepared, spiced to perfection and only 3 minutes to heat and serve! We couldnt be happier, and not only that, the serving size is perfect and easy to keep track of with the provided nutritional information.
We were quite surprised that we liked the meals as much as we do. However, I continue to wish they would offer more shrimp/fish type entrees primarily due to the lower carb content. One of the main reasons I joined this was to limit carb intake. Although the chicken dishes are tasty, I really prefer shrimp/fish that I don't have to prepare myself. I also wish there were more Southern style dishes rather than all the exotic entrees. Regardless, we plan to continue this convenient way of eating because in the long (and short) run, it is so much healthier (and economical) than eating take-out so often.
Overall, very tasty, easy, great customer service. Nice to know its healthy too with no preservatives, additives, gluten. I also like that my husband and I can order what we like separately. There is a good selection of dinners and the portions are a good size. Customer service is very professional and accommodating.
The meals have been fantastic. The problem lies in the delivery. We have had three weeks out of 5 with delivery problems. Hopefully those issues are resolved. Also the chicken bbq spices are not what my daughter likes but she says that the kale tastes just like homemade.

Meals are fresh and delicious and so easy to prepare! Just pop in the microwave and wait for a few minutes!
I've enjoyed Freshly because they offer good, clean food at reasonable prices. It is a lot easier and quicker than cooking from scratch, and it is also a lot cheaper than ordering out that type of food. The meals have all been great and delivered on time.
Since I am a college student, it's a faster and healthier option for the same amount I was spending on groceries.
Freshly was a godsend when I had shoulder surgery and was unable to prepare food one-handed. I enjoyed the variety of choices and generally found the meals tasty and the serving sizes just right.
All all these are tasty convenient and timely deleted meals I would certainly be pleased to recommend. As a single person I ordered the 12 meal pack which basically sets me up the whole week. I really would find it difficult to find anything negative to say about Freshly however there are a couple recommendations I would like to make.
1) though there is a good selection to choose from each week I would like to see a quicker turn over all the meals so that he selection changes more frequently and add a little bit more excitement into the selection process.
2) most of the meals use meat as a main protein. Chicken, pork and ground beef (not to mention a pretty tasty peppered steak) it would be nice to see a larger selection of seafood based meals. The shrimp scampi is pretty tasty (though it would benefit from the addition of capers) and there appears to be no fresh caught fish selection.
3) though the breakfast menu looks pretty good, try as I may I find it difficult to be paying the same price as a main meal for an omelette and such however tasty it may be.
All in all I am more than happy to continue to use Freshly though would suggest pausing your weekly delivery every two weeks or so to avoid any possibility of monotony setting in.
We enjoy the convenient use of the meals. The portions are the perfect size and the variety is excellent.
Overall it has been good. There are a few of the meals my husband has liked really well, but there are some he makes sure I don't reorder. We have to throw out the green beans and make-do with a can of something or have a house salad to complete the meal. I was also told several weeks ago when we joined that there would soon be fish added to the menu and that hasn't happened. My husband loves salmon.
I've got no problem with breakfast and lunch, but the thought of dinner makes me lazy! After work and gym the LAST thing I wanna do is be stuck in the kitchen slaving over a meal. Freshly is great! The toughest thing is deciding which meal I want. I reach into the fridge, poke 2 holes for ventilation, and pop in the microwave for about 4 minutes (depending on each meal and strength of microwave), and BOOM!--I've got a tasty and filling meal. 6 meals for $59 is a very good deal, because part of that is shipping; so it's less than $10 per meal. Been doing this for about a month and a half now and I don't see myself stopping. They need to hurry up and create some new options!
I've gained an hour back every day! Love it that I can come home and RELAX instead of working all day and cooking and cleaning the rest of the night!
My husband and I are busy people that don't work the same schedule. We have a few days together and then others that it is fend for yourself. Those are the days that it is nice to spend less than 4 minutes to have a hot healthy meal. Like other people have said, you really have to be paying attention or you get the same food delivered again which can get old. Also if you decide you want more meals it takes weeks for them to update even though you haven't reached the cutoff for the coming week.
I would describe freshly meals as healthy and easy! My only comment or suggestion might be if there could be a reminder to change your meals before the ship date are the cut off date because I forget to change him and then Ive got the same meals couple weeks in a row
This has made our need to grocery shop minimal, and is great for my husband and I who both work long hours and were struggling coming home to cook. The food is decent and while you of course sacrifice a little by not making it, its not much of a sacrifice and it sure beats frozen meals. The only thing I would say as a negative is that there is a limited selection so you end up getting the same things quite often. The sides are not the best- but I assume its their attempt to be healthy and keep calories down.
We really like Freshly especially after getting home after a long day. We like the taste of the food the fact the meals are generally around 500 calories and that there are gluten free options. I would like the menu to change more. I like it when there are new items to choose from. That is the only reason I didnt give 5 stars. Keep up the good work
The delivery has always been spot on and they've notified me the one time that FedEx was having delivery issues. My food always arrives cold (which is good). There could be a better variety of dishes. Sometimes, after it's been heated, the food has a freezer burn taste and disintegrates when a fork hits it but the breakfasts are ok.

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
