We have enjoyed having go-to, yummy, and healthy meals during a busy week. My husband enjoys them just as much as I do, and he is a very picky eater, so that is a major bonus!
I must admit I was hoping I would like it a little more. I do like the chicken pilaf dinner, but I would have liked more sauce and a little more spice in most of the other dishes. I will keep trying new menu items to see if it is jus a matter of finding the right meals for me. Regardless it has been a huge time saver to have Freshly delivered to our home.
I was so pleased to find a food subscription that didnt require cooking! I dont have time to cook ( also Im terrible at cooking) so as soon as I discovered Freshly I knew it was for me. I love that the food is healthy and doesnt cost more than $10 a serving.
There is nothing like having a fresh hot healthy meal everyday. It cuts down on my trips to the store. The variety is great and the food is delicious.
Weve been using Freshlys service for a few weeks and love it. Its tasty, fast, and healthy. We eat out so much less, saving money, and the food is so much better for you. I never thought in my life that I would actually like kale in any form! Try it; you wont regret it!
There are some meals I prefer over others but overall they are delicious, nutricuous, easy!, and make it a snap to stay healthy, full, slim and well fed. So grateful for this awesome service. Keep up the excellent work.
You guys are awesome! I have loved everything I tried. My favorite, by far, is the Southwest Chicken bowl. So much yum in one bowl. My husband loves the rosemary pork. He was skeptical at first, but hes a believer now. I tell everyone about your service. Thanks so much for what you do.
I am a very busy professional. Freshly is so easy and convenient that I feel like hours have been freed up in my schedule let alone the stress of planning my meals. Additionally I am getting so much healthier with the help of freshly. Im losing weight and my food mood is stablized and I feel like it is because I am eating healthy unprocessed good quality food. My cravings for junk have decreased and I have more energy. Freshly has been a great positive change in my life.
I enjoy using Freshly because it suits my lifestyle. I don't have to worry about the salt content or highly processed food when I purchase it. Although it may cost a bit more than going to a grocery store to buy already prepared food, I know the quality I am receiving is much higher through freshly. Also, this has helped me cut down on my eating out.
Every meal we have received has been fresh. We greatly like most of them. I am amazed how tender the steak is in the peppercorn steak, especially after microwaving. The chicken in every dish we have tried has been tender & juicy. The green beans taste & texture are as I picked them from my own garden that morning. The chicken risotto is my favorite.
Good food. Proper portion for not gaining weight. Introduction to things that I probably would not cook.
I like the quality of the food, the packaging is good, the price is great. Freshly also has great customer service. The company they hire to do delivery is the only thing I can complain about. They never knock on the door or ring the doorbell. They just leave the package sitting there at odd hours with zero communication.

I have tried 4 different meal delivery companies and Freshly is by far the best. Food is packed fantastic with a barrier pack and ice packs. Delivery always on time and I have enjoyed all but one meal.
Only negative thing I can say is that the use by dates are only around 4 to 5 days, but it's FRESH food, so I can deal with it.
For a while I told myself that I could make the same stuff for cheaper. I WAS WRONG! Freshly is fantastic, they make fantastic food, always fresh, always delivered on time and always saves me a ton of time and money. Most are under 500 calories which is fantastic. I know the hardest part for people to get over is the microwaving, but you don't have to worry because someone at freshly has a PhD in microwaving. Steak comes out tender, chicken comes out moist, vegetables are always beautiful and crisp, it's truly amazing what they've done.
Freshly is very reasonably priced for the quality of meals it provides. Their food is actually healthy unlike some of their competitors. There are a few ingredients I don't like such as canola oil and natural flavors, but overall it's pretty close to what I cooked at home when I was able to and we eat very clean. All of their meals are gluten free, which I love! The meals taste homemade or like good quality restaurant food. The shipments always arrive on time and I'm really impressed with how well they're packed. The freezer packs are still 90% solid when I open the box and everything is cold like it was just taken out of the refrigerator even on hot, summer days. I don't like the fact that the containers are designed for microwave heating only. My biggest complaint is really the small selection of meals. I'm relying on Freshly for all of my lunches and dinners, so I get a bit tired of eating the same things over and over. They introduce a new meal about every week, but they also remove one, so that they always have 30 meals to choose from at any time, and of those 5 are breakfasts.
After my 3rd failed delivery attempt (all different weeks, not the same delivery) and Freshly not caring enough to find a different shipper, I've cancelled. OnTrac Delivery sucks and Freshly sucks for using them.

Quick & convenient. Great portion sizes. A bit on the too spicy side for some meals. Good variety of meals
Love the concept! Food has been mostly excellent, except for personal tastes. Portions are perfect. However, to get six meals each week, we find we need to duplicate meals every other week or so because the variety doesn't change very often.

Answer: Hi Marc, Thanks for your inquiry! At this time we change one meal per week, typically. We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
