Freshly has to get rid of FedEx. Half my orders are not delivered or delivered days late. FedEx is awful. Find a new shipper or make them do their job. Your shipping department has to get on the ball. I can no longer count on Freshly, which is a shame because I really like their product.
So far, most of the meals have been enjoyable. While it is not gourmet cooking, it certainly makes week nights easier!

I love the taste I was surprised by it. The only think I would suggest is maybe lower carbs on some of the meal Im diabetic and low carb is what Im trying to stick with. I love how convenient it is Im so busy and dont have much time for myself let alone to cook.

I am very happy to have found Freshly. The meals are well prepared and proportioned. Deliver is on schedule every time and the packaging is manageable.
I've been subscribing for about two months now, and am very happy with this service. Have nothing but good things to say.
We enjoy the convenience of ready made meals. Great for fitting healthy meals into a packed schedule.
Overall it has been amazing, there are times it takes to adjust the microwave settings, and I actually find it better in the box than putting it on a plate.
Everything tastes great, there are good food options, and its easy to use. It makes your home life a little easier which is always a plus!
I have been ordering from them for two weeks now. Nine meals each week... i can not tell you how wonderful it is to receive already cooked awesome meals ready to eat! And the best part is the taste... better than you could imagine! They have a good choice and the customer service is the best ever. You can change your meals each week to try them all if you want and then settle in on the ones you like better than others. This is the perfect answer for someone who does not have the time to cook or is not a good cook or is cooking for one! I can honestly say this is the best find if you are looking for easy but delicious meals without cooking!
Products are tasty and we have had timely shipping and excellent service.
Our only complaint is the high amounts of sodium in the products. For this reason, we are hesitant to reccomend the products.
Thank you for your review, Kay! I absolutely understand your concerns, and I appreciate your feedback regarding the sodium content of the meals. I'd like to assure you that the sodium in our meals does not come from any processed ingredients or preservatives. We do add a bit of sea salt, which helps to balance the meal and bring out the flavors from our all-natural ingredients. It's largely naturally occurring from our ingredients, but also from seasonings and marinades that we use.
As we continue to grow we're also working to add more variety, including lower sodium options!
Easy interface to choose what foods you would like, all at a respectable quantity. Calories are always in the 400-700 range for every meal, and each meal tastes great and fresh!
I work full time, go to school and teach yoga. I have zero time for cooking, doing dishes and I dont need to be doing our every night and ending up with way too much food. These dinners are easy, convenient and pretty darn good. Im really glad that I can eat consistently good food for not much money, especially considering the time saved.
I like how Freshly works. I wish I had a bit more time to choose my meals. If I missed the email for a day or two I totally would not be able to modify. The food tastes amazing. It tastes super fresh. I love that I don't have to cook. It's great for a busy younger person, or older person... or someone that takes care of an older person. It's healthy. It's paleo based. The food tastes super fresh and high quality and amazing... it also does taste like it came from a restaurant. It's awesome. My only complaint is that it's a great size portion for a female that is elderly. It's too much most of the time. For a big man it is just not. It's a filling lunch, but a big man needs more food. For that reason I think there should be a choice for someone who is a large person that wants a larger meal. That would be an awesome option. Other than that... I LOVE FRESHLY... Thanks :)

After a month of dinners, 20 % of the time dinner was of poor quality. After steering clear of these items, I enjoy the quality of the dinners. I greatly enjoy the convenience and calorie count. Though sometimes I wish there was more quantity.

Im not the greatest cook in the world, and Im single. Variety in cooking for myself isnt an easy option. Freshly has saved my life, given me delicious and easy options and is way better than anything Ive ever found in a store. Or in a restaurant in some cases. I love the options. I love that it changes every week, although the Turkey Shepards pie will forever be on my list. I just love Freshly!
Ok Ill start out with the good. LOVE the way the meals come in the box with the ice packs, love the packaging, love the app and how easy it is to pick meals, love the pricing, and some of the meals are sooooo yummy! Like very very good. I have been impressed with almost everything and would give it a 5 stars if it wasnt for the following: 1. I absolutely cant stand how you have to cut the plastic off the top of the dish with a knife. This is beyond rediculous and such a hassle. I get frustrated every time I have to do it. There has to be another way for them to do that plastic. Why cant it just peel off? 2. Most of the meals weve had have been delicious! But there are a few that have not been good at all (which is expected since everyones taste buds are different) but since each person can rate the meals I wish the overall ratings would show up for every meal, not just the Top Rated ones. That way we can see what each meal has been rated to help in choosing ones we might like. Other than that I love the service and will continue to use it each week. The Steak Peppercorn is to die for!

My food always expires by Wednesday... I already talked to someone about it and it keeps happening... I am actually eating one right now as we speak...
Thank you for your review, Carlos! I'm sorry to hear about the trouble our use-by dates have caused! Since we cook the meals and ship them without using chemical/artificial preservatives, they do have a shorter refrigerated shelf life, and the use-by date would be about 4-5 days from the ship date. This is why your meals being delivered on Saturdays would have an expiration date of Wednesdays. You can certainly freeze them to make them last far longer though!

Some food taste good some is a little bland. More variety is needed and perhaps a paper container instead of plastic.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)

Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
