The meals are mostly great, and we love the convenience and healthy options, but wish there was more variety from week to week. We are getting tired of seeing the same meals every week. Would also like more vegetarian options.
It's good food, and gluten free has been so rewarding for both myself and my husband. I feel like I'm more in charge of our health now.

I find the food much better than fast food. I work overnight and finding health food to eat is very difficult.
I am a single, retired woman living in an upstairs apartment in my son's home, in the midst of a major remodel that leaves me with limited ability to make anything really grand for dinner. With Freshly I am able to have one really delicious, healthy meal each day very simply, creating almost no mess in my kitchen and at almost a moment's notice. It is like a miracle has occurred! I love it! Try it out if you live alone. Really good food. So convenient. I love it!
Nothing was delivered to me for 2 days in a row and they did nothing to help resolve this. Worst meal service i have ever seen

Love the meals! Wish shipping issues didnt occur but Freshly is always happy to fix any issue. Love that meals are gluten free as well!
I HAVE USED OTHER GREAT SERVICES TOO. MY FAVE WAS HELLO FRESH, BUT I JUST DONT WANT TO COOK ALL THE TIME NOW.

Food is fresh, tasty and nutritious. I avoid food that is made with mystery ingredients of dubious quality and Freshly appears to be a healthy combination of ingredients without the long chemical names
I order this for my mom. She doesnt like the lack of variety. She is kindof picky and would like more options that she likes. Its great for someone that doesnt mind the same menus week after week. The concept is great and the meals I have tasted are good. Just not sure its the right thing for my mom.

I have really enjoyed the prepared meals I have been selecting. Good variety. Reasonably priced. Always arrive fresh and cold.
Overall- love the convienvence and the meals I have had. Wish there were more options every week or more options that rotated.
I was with another food prep company. Food was ok but packaging and delivery was terrible. Many damaged or delayed deliveries. They kept giving me credits to help with frustration. Finally one day it was enough. Thats when I found Freshly on the internet. Best thing ever. Always on time, packaging superior to any Ive seen, and the best part are the meals taste like they were made the day I eat them sooo much better than expected. There is much to love almost about Freshly. The desktop and mobile apps agre great and easy to use. The meals come nicely packaged, are tasty and convenient. The only thing that annoys me isnthat switching to a plan with more or fewer meals takes a couple weeks to go into effect. Waiting for those changes to take place created an inconvenience for me personally. Otherwise, I recommend it.
Food is good and makes meal planning for the week very easy. After a few months of weekly service, all the meals tend to be the same. Would like a little more variability in food.
Its all about convenience! Not to mention theyre delicious too! I am especially impressed with the steak and love a good steak once in a while and these were delicious, Juicy and very tasty! I think the portions are fine! Sure you might pay a little bit extra but you are paying for the convenience and the freshness! And to me thats worth it.
Freshly immediately responded to my first review about the overwhelming onion in so many meals, with some great suggestions for meals without so much onion, and a credit so that I could try them. I keep coming back to Freshly because the quality is so much better than any frozen meals at the grocery store, and better than fast food. I use Home Chef for the most part, but Freshly is great for the nights when I just don't have any time for cooking. It's not like eating fresh food, but it's much better than I had expected. The meat is decent, and give a good portion of protein. I've strongly considered canceling again because of their new partnership with Nestle, which is an evil company. But it sure is nice to pull a fully prepared steak dinner out of the fridge and nuke it for a few minutes when I'm in a hurry.
I love this concept, and it would have made my life much simpler if this had worked for me. I just couldn't stand most of the meals because they tasted and smelled so strongly of onion. I even had complaints about the onion odor from co-workers when I microwaved a meal there.
I thought the meat was of decent quality. The vegetables tended to be a little dry. My favorite of all the meals I tried was the Pecan Pork. It was delicious, and the cauliflower dressing that came with it was surprisingly good. Unfortunately there were meals that I actually threw out after a few bites, including the Pork Carnitas and the Spaghetti Squash with Meatballs; both because of the overwhelming taste of onion.
When I started my super busy new job, I couldnt meal prep anymore. I still wanted to keep my healthy diet, and Freshly came through with food that is affordable, on-time, and delicious. Thanks guys! I have been able to lose some weight and am healthier than ever!
Freshly has been awesome! I ordered this service for my sister because she is unable to cook for her and her husband at this time and they say it is absolutely delicious. Everything has been super easy. I wish the variety would change a bit.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
