Healthy meal and prepared well; nice portions, and tasty. Very nice to have available for a single person.
I have been using Freshly for a little over a month now and, while not every dish fit my palate, everything has still been wonderfully prepared. Most of the meals I have had have been great and more than a few have been positively fantastic. All this at a cost per meal that really works wonderfully for me.
I had one incident where I received the wrong meal. The sleeve did not match the meal inside. Customer service was amazing and they resolved my concerns very quickly and with a friendly attitude.
I have referred multiple people to the service and will continue to do so!
Freshly has been a life saver for me while going through academy. The meals are well balanced. Healthy. And absolutely delicious.
Most of the meals I have tried have been really good. But i cancelled my service due to the fact that the meals are trucked from Arizona to Fedex facilities where they sit until picked up for shipping. Freshly will not ship overnight. So by the time my orders arrive, I have about 2 days to eat 6 meals before the expiration date. Also, orders have arrived late and I had to deal with old food. I dont recommend simply because of shipping issues and refusal to ship overnight.

We work with our carriers to ensure the meals are sent as quickly and efficiently as possible to our customers. We take on all shipping expenses, and our carriers can't commit to delivering within one day to certain zones. Due to these two reasons, we're not able to ship within one day to all zip codes. This past year especially we've been working diligently with our carriers to offer more delivery options and days, and have moved some zip codes into a one day delivery zone. We hope to continue this trend as we open up our new kitchen towards the end of this year!
In terms of the use-by dates, because we ship without using preservatives the refrigerated shelf life would generally be 3-5 days after delivery. However, the meals can be frozen for longer if necessary! I've reached out in a private message to provide further heating instructions, and also to get more information so I can investigate your delivery delay further. Freshly does exaxtly as they advertise. The meals are fresh packed tighly in a box with packaged sealed ice packs that are reusable. Perfect for since I'm single and I am working during the late evening. Def give it a try.
Enjoying freshly for about a month and Im super impressed with the menu and selection and quality of the food. Can only say that one meal was not my cup of tea but all the rest have been a 3 to 4+. Delivery is always at the same time on Saturdays.
I've been happy with our Freshly dinners. They are nicely prepared and easy to serve. The vegetables are very generous.

Overall I like my freshly meals. I feel it's *slightly over priced but I make a good money but I've seen other companies charge their meals for $6-$8/meal vs $10/meal like yours. I also want more dairy free meal options.

We are new with Freshly and find their website easy to navigate and to order meals. We have enjoyed the meals very much as they are simple to warm up for serving and are of quality. The selection of meals is somewhat limited and the meals are bland but I expect this is also the case with the other companies that offer the same service.

My husband and I both work full time jobs and neither wants to cook when we get home. It is so easy and nice to warm up a healthy and delicious meal. My husband has always resisted healthy eating. He has no complaints about freshly meals! I am glad to have gluten free paleo meals at my fingertips.

Not having to come home and cook for an hour is wonderful. The meals are so convenient and easy to heat up. For the most part they're very tasty, however, the chicken tatses the same in most selections. Would like other beef, pork and seafood options with more variety.

Some of the food is good, other pretty bland, rarely is it great. I love the convenience. But I wont continue long-term for two reasons: 1. The amount of waste in the form of ice pack + insulation + box every week breaks my heart. 2. $10 per meal is a lot for a single meal and I dont choose, on an ongoing basis, to spend that much on each meal. Its great once in a great while when I anticipate Im going to have a busy week, but once every couple months is all the more I would choose to do that.
The use date was expired on two meals this week. So I tossed them. Also, Id like to see more beef dishes.

The food does taste great; however I'm still trying to justify paying $10 per meal when no discounts are applied. I work in the city, and I love bringing my Freshly's for lunch; however it is the same price per meal as if I was eating out for lunch.

I've really enjoyed the last 4 weeks of my meals with Freshly, but unfortunately now i'm at the point that I've tried all of the dishes that sound appetizing, so I have no choice but to repeat. With so many other food delivery options, I'm going to skip the weeks until there are new dishes added. I wish they would add 3-4 new dishes a week - I don't mind a few repeats, but not entire weeks.
Also - one suggestion - if you don't change your default menu, it automatically sends you the menu from the previous week. I missed the cutoff date to edit my menu and got sent the same 3 meals from the week before, which was disappointing. At least send 3 new options!

2 things:
One, the packaging. Oh how I had your packaging for the individual meals. The plastic is almost impossible to take off. And I hate cutting it off. I eat these at work, and don't have a knife (other than plastic) to cut out the plastic. One can't just pull the plastic off, it is stuck on too hard. Yes, I did bring a proper knife to work to remove the plastic, but that is lame.
Two, you need to add the option for the user to buy less than or more than 6 items (let's say 4-8) items per week. Some weeks I'd like to buy more, and other weeks; e.g., when I'm traveling; I'd prefer to buy less.

Decent food but great price. Being on the Paleo diet can get expensive. Freshly helps keep those food expenses down. No, I did not get paid for this review.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
