I do enjoy most of the meals. But I still need a larger variety to choose from. I am getting tired of eating some of the same things every week and unfortunately I don't care for some of the choices given.
I have tried many meal services. To name a few, Blue Apron, Martha Stewart, Munchery etc. Freshly is by far the best. The ease of heating and eating something that is restaurant quality in looks and taste can't be beaten.

My husband is a celiac so this is a nutritious and convenient way for him to take a lunch to work. He rides the train in to downtown Chicago everyday so convenience is what we need! We can freeze them if needed as well. The food always tastes so good!

As an autistic, it was difficult for me at first to navigate your web site, but after a couple of weeks of practice, I now know what to do, and your Customer Service was always patient and helpful.
It is such a relief to know that it will only take me a couple of minutes to heat up a delicious meal instead of the dreaded preparation I used to have to go through. Thank you for providing all the choices.

Been using Freshly on&off for a few months now and I've enjoyed the ease of use so far. Seems to be making my life easier!
* Pros:
(+) I love that there is a dietary preference feature that helps you avoid certain foods, which I find very helpful. A warning symbol pops up on meal options that contain specific ingredients, so I don't accidentally choose something I couldn't eat. It's a nice pre-screening feature.
(+) It's very easy to pick meals and you get reminder emails as well.
(+) Recently, a delayed delivery issue caused the safety of the food to be questionable, so they sent me several emails warning me not to eat the food when it arrived (which was disappointing), but they sent a quick refund and ultimately had my family's health in mind.
(+) The food is much better quality than boxed food at the grocery store.
* Cons
(+) If you don't eat beef or pork, the selections sometimes feel rather slim. I'm glad they at least add new options from time to time, but I feel like I've ordered similar meals many times because of that.
(+) They discontinued my favorite Southern apple chicken meal.:-(
(+) Haven't seen very many seafood options, perhaps due to them going bad in the shipping process? Would love to see salmon and a seafood-only or vegetarian paella option.
(+) I wish there were more meals per order. I'd pay more for that. We're a 2-person family, so 6 meals only last 3 days if we eat them back-to-back.

Freshly makes my life so incredibly easy. My husband and I have been utilizing meal kits for quite some time but we had a heat wave this year that made us want to not turn on our stove. We decided to try Freshly so we could avoid cooking and it has been great.

I am really busy growing my business and traveling between clients and it has been hard to find the time to meal prep and make sure that I'm eating a balanced, healthy diet. Freshly has allowed me to affordably solve my problem by letting them do the healthy meal prep for me! Now I know that I have something ready to grab from the fridge and either take with me for lunch or eat when I come home starving after a long day. Worth it.

We love what we have tried thus far. Please continue to add new choices/selections to your menu. This delivery method of food makes life easier and takes away stress. We plan to keep ordering as long as the menu has a good variety.

I like knowing that I grab a great tasting, gluten free meal each morning before work. My kids also like them and that's great, especially for a working mom of a teenager.

Lot of variety of foods. I am able to stay in my weight program. I am really happy to try to lose weight and still can eat yummy food. However, it is a little over budget. I might not be able to do every week but I will try whatever I can do about it. LOVE it :)

Product: Meals are fantastic! Your dish seal mechanism is frustrating to deal with on each meal.
User Interface: The future updating of meals is really annoying. I am so busy, it's hard to remember to change meal qty, and selection in a 24 hr window.

In terms of editing the meals, you can certainly edit up to three weeks in advance, in your Meal Planner online! Of course, you can also update up until your weekly deadline each week. Tasty food quick preparation allows me to feed my son quickly and guilt free. We can go to the gym and come home to a healthy and filling meal.

Are you a mom? Do you work full time? THIS is for you. Wholesome meals for the husband and I when kiddos eat chicken nuggets. Makes weekday evenings so much easier. No cooking, no dishes! I've saved in grocery bills because nothing goes to waste!

I am very happy with the service and the food. My husband really likes the food, it is convenient, fresh, and delicious. The packaging is outstanding! There is certainly no worry about the food sitting out and getting warm, the gel packs were still frozen in the box after three days! You could spend about the same for a lot of different fast foods, but you would have to drive, pick up, food gets cold, etc. You only microwave for 2-3 minutes, and you're eating!

In terms of our use-by dates, since we cook the meals and ship them without using chemical/artificial preservatives, typically the "use by" date on the meals is about 4-5 days from the ship date. You can certainly freeze them to make them last far longer, though! You simply need to add a couple of minutes to the heating time and reheat from frozen, without thawing. We recommend confirming that the food is reheated to 165 degrees, the same as reheating from fresh!
I went with Freshly initially because they are the only meal service that allows you to have a plan for one person. The meals are healthy while sill being very flavorful and filling. All the food I've had so far tastes fresh. Meals for the first month have ALWAYS been on time.The user interface is really easy to navigate and use. I enjoy picking my weekly meals.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
