I bought these for my husband as a gift to myself so I could not cook for a while. He got behind in eating them so I had to help out. The pasta with the pesto was soaked with pesto. A little pesto goes a long way. You could probably go with half of that pesto. I looked at them after he heated them. They looked awful. Not appetizing looking at all. Of all the dishes he has had, he said that the cod cakes are by far the best.

I enjoy getting to choose different meals on a weekly basis. The only problem I've found so far is that some of the meals taste like TV dinners that you'd pay $3-4 or even less from the grocery store and especially after the intro pricing goes away find it hard to justify over $10 a meal. Some have been very good and do taste "fresh" almost like it was homemade.

The food is delicious. The reason I am only giving it four stars is the app is frustrating because it automatically loads your meals with the previous menu. I would like a clear menu and select the foods I want to add rather than have pre-added food.

Freshly has been great. I don't like cooking for just myself because I find it a waste of time (30 minutes to cook 6 to eat) so I used to eat out all of the time. But now I'm eating much better and for much less money.

I have received three (3) freshly orders and have been very satisfied with the quality of food I have received thus far. The convenience of throwing these meals in the microwave is what really makes this service better than competitors - I had tempered expectations of the quality of food but Freshly has exceeded my expectations. I will be continuing this service for the time being.

I had to travel right after receiving meals. So I froze them. After when trying to reheat them it was difficult. Heat for 2 minutes wait for 5 minutes then heat for another 2 minutes.

We do recommend reheating from frozen by adding more time, or until the internal temperature is 165 degrees! We have enjoyed the meals. They are perfect for my husband and I who have busy schedules and don't get a chance to eat until after 6pm. Just can't beat five minutes for two meals! The only negative is the variety. We're 3 weeks in and have tried everything that appeals to us.

I have only been getting this service for two wks now, but I have been overall satisfied. I think the price is bit bit high. $70 for 6 meals, but I must say the over all quality is there. There has only been two meals that I have not enjoyed at all. They had no taste at all and one the neat I couldn't even cut it was so rock hard. I think that if they lowered the price to the promotional price that I had it would be a great deal. $48 is not bad for 6 meals. I would gladly pay that for quality meals.

The food is good. The orders we have received so far were really good. There were a couple of meals that we thought were bland but over all the meals are tasty. My husband has type 2 diabetes and his numbers have been better! So yeah!

Commercials show appetizing, large portions, fresh-looking vegetables and happy diners. NOT! In reality, the potions are small as well as the sauces. The beef tastes like shoe letter. It's not that the meals are just tasteless but they actually taste so bad that I had to stop eating after a couple of bites. I threw out a weeks worth of food. Never again. Any food would be better than this. I now even have to resist gagging when I write about it!

I used Freshly over a 4 month time period. I loved it at first, portions were just right and taste was good. On July 4th I experienced my first failed weekly delivery. I received an email the night i was supposed to get the delivery and refund with $20 credit. Didnt think much of it due to the holiday. Around this time portions began to get smaller, I received a meal I didnt order, and my box got delivered to my neighbors one time. Luckily I caught it and brought it back. The last straw was 2 more failed deliveries in a row which left me scrambling to meal prep. Here in my denver area they only offer 1 delivery day per week, so not getting these meals as expected was annoying. Not to mention the delivery would show up a day late at which time I was told by the company to dispose of it. Very wasteful. Canceled after this. Customer service was responsive but what good are credits if they never deliver?

Being a meal delivery service that's largely designed for convenience, it's never our intention to not have your meals arrive fresh and in a timely manner. I understand the toll it takes on you to have to make alternate plans last minute, and for that I am truly sorry!

Answer: Hi Marc, Thanks for your inquiry! At this time we change one meal per week, typically. We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
