I am extremely busy working in the NYC fashion industry that it is hard some times to leave the office to grab something to eat and even more impossible to spend time shopping and preparing a healthy balanced flavorful meal. I love how easy the app is to select healthy affordable meals for the week and have them delivered right to work. It has been a game changer. I am able to save money and make healthier meal decisions. Thanks Freshly
New to Freshly. I find that Chili is the best. I had turkey with dressing last night. Turkey and veggies was ok, the dressing was NOT good. First all there was no way that dressing ever tasted like that. You need to find some other way to make dressing. But without bread I don't think that you can. Thank you.

I am happy that I can go to the fridge and pop the dishes in the microwave. Most of the time I do have to add an extra minute.
I do have my favorite dishes and some that I won't reorder.
My main complaint is the cost. I am on a fixed Social Security income.
Also, the shipping method is not environmentally friendly and the box is so darn heavy!
I am an elderly lady. Has been great to have these meals on hand!
Try using dry ice for freezing. I subscribe to Wild Alaskan Salmon... check them out! Their packages are just perfect! Thank You very much

Absolutely love the meals. Me and my husband split a 12 meal plan and it has made such a difference in our lives already. We aren't worrying as much about grocery shopping and planning our meals. The portions are perfect. Just enough but not too much. The variety and quality of the meals is fantastic. I have had some incredible and unique meals with Freshly
Few items for freshly to consider. Larger meal plans (then I can feed me and my husband lunches and dinners during the week). Earlier delivery times in the week. I can cover weekend meals but use this for lunch/dinner when we work right now we have a lot of meals aging in our fridge over the weekend. Breakfast based options. I love breakfast for dinner!
Food is great! The packaging is the best the food stays cold and you can reuse or recycle all of the packing items.!

We are newer with Freshly and so far it is great! Healthy food options and most portions are great! Helps me on my diet since we don't have leftovers. We own a business, not related to the food industry, and have very busy schedules and this works great for us. I have more time in the evening to do what I want to do since I don't have to cook and clean up. A lot of meals with chicken but they are good and probably healthier. Many of the meals contain some form of almonds which I'm allergic to. I suggested they look for alternatives in some dishes because it limits choices for those who have nut allergies. Would be nice to have less nut ingredients or put them on the side in a package if possible. Customer service is great!

As a cook I was hesitant about using any food service. A friend had favorable comments and while I was recovering from surgery that restricted use of my arm I took advantage of a promotional discount. My first impression, opening the carton... padded on all, sides, carton sized freezer packs top and bottom... I was impressed. As for the meals... I have not had anything that I did not enjoy. Some of the meals had broccoli as the veggie... and it was broccoli not stems. And not overcooked. The chicken dishes have been excellent... tender and not rubbery even after microwaving. I tried the peppercorn steak and couldn't believe how tender and tasty it was; even though I eat steak a bit on the rare side, I really enjoyed that dinner. The mushroom turkey meatloaf is outstanding and the butternut Mac and cheese... ohhh, excellent. Would not hesitate recommending Freshly!

Customer service is top notch. Some food has too much seasoning for me, especially the vegetables. I would suggest let the customer do most of the seasoning so that it appeals to a wider audience.

I am now getting fresh and healthy meals every day. Entering week 3 i am beginning to hate grains... there are some terrific meal choices but not so many without some form of rough and tumble healthy rice, quinoa, or grainy base. Love the pasta substitutes. The taste of everything is pretty good to great. Have not had a bad meal. Give me more green beans, brocolli and carrots and less grainy rough and tough grains.

I have been getting meals for about a month now. I have found the food to be fresh and tasty. It has been great not having to try to decide on "what's for dinner?". Clean up is a breeze too. Now I spend on 6 meals what I was spending each trip to the grocery store.

I have been disappointed in the 2 chicken entrees. The veggies were good but the chicken not very flavorful. The different sausage entrees and cod have been very good.

The food is good large portion I am eating meals at home that I would never cook for my self I would have to go to a restaurant fore i always delivered on time

I work out in an industrial environment, and not only am I bad at cooking, but I have nothing to cook with besides a microwave, or a hot engine. Ordering out isn't really an option either, so I usually packed cold lunches, or left overs. But Freshly has been pretty awesome for me, since the food is pretty dang good, and I now have a whole lot more variety in what I can eat, as well as how I can eat it. The portion sizes are just about what I need to keep a healthy diet, not to mention that the ingredients going into the meals are real so it's not like a typical microwave dinner.

I am unhappy with the deliveries; the delivery person on the last 2 trips did not ring the doorbell. I need to know when the meals arrive in order to get them into the fridge asap. I am thinking about stopping my subscription due to this problem, among other reasons. The food, however is very good.

I really enjoy Freshly overall. There have only been two meals for me that were mediocre at best, but all other meals have had great flavor and were really filling. The plastic on the meals is hard to peel off at times and I do wish they offered more variety through the month. I feel like I pick from the same meals a lot.

I really like the convenience of popping the container in the microwave and voila! My food is done. The food is good for the most part. I've had a few meals that I wasn't find of. I wish you could read reviews of the 'dinners' before you choose. I also wish there were more options for beef, pork, fish that are NOT SPICY! Spicy food makes me cough a lung out and I can't stomach it. It seems like I order more chicken items then anything else and would prefer more options and a lot more variety. Even a specialty dish once a week that isn't spicy.

I'm new to freshly, and so far everything I've had is delicious, and flavorful. I am pleasantly surprised of the different combinations and tastes. I'm an over the road truck driver, and these meals make my life so much easier when it comes to staying healthy on the road.

The meals are fresh and well prepped, they also have an expiration day clearly label for that extra peace of mind. The proteins are high quality and veggies are crisp and flavorful. The variety of meals are appetizing and prevent redundancy. The meals are healthy sized servings with ideal macros for my meal plan.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
