Our youngest son sent us our first shipment of Freshly and it was a lovely surprise. We've enjoyed the 9 meals for a few weeks and will be continuing to order as the meals are filling, clearly labeled with nutritional information and easy as pie to prepare and serve.
It sounded and looked like a great idea. They even ask your preferences: Do you like beef? Pork? Chicken? Fish? Shellfish? But every week you get to choose between 30 meals - 90% based on a chicken breast with some sauce and mushy rice or veggies that have little taste.
There are NO fish or shellfish meals - so why did they ask?
And I found only one beef meal and two shredded pork meals - the rest were chicken, chicken and more chicken.
The worst part is the meal choices seldom vary. You get the same choices week after week.
This company had a great idea, but they crapped out when it came to providing actual quality and variety. So unless you enjoy the basically same meal repeated night after night - don't waste your money.

The meal preferences is for ingredients you're wanting to avoid in case you have allergies, in that case then there will be a warning icon for any meals that include the ingredient you had selected! I'll be sure to pass along your thoughts, that we can offer more meals besides chicken to our menu. We will also send the same meals each week if the menu isn't updated by your weekly deadline, so definitely be sure to update them to get different meals each week! I've enjoyed Freshly from the start. The food if well proportioned, and delicious. It's also healthy and low calorie.

I like your product, I would love to see oven heating instructions for those of us who don't have microwaves. Putting your product in an oven safe food dish would also be a good idea in my opinion. If Marie Calender can do it, I would think you can as well.

Rather disappointed in the flavors. I have only found one meal that was good. I am thinking of cancelling my orders.

This is the first company I used for food delivery. I am very pleased and impressed. The food is good, they have a variety of selections, and the portions are great... not to mention the cost is reasonable.
The food is excellent. Portions are large and filling. No preservatives and well balanced. I could not be happier and I don't have to go out to get fed! Thank you! This is one great way to solve food insecurity safely. I get 6 meals a week. I am thinking of increasing this to 12 as soon as I see what the government is gonna stipend us for survival money.

We have ordered a 4-meals package. I must say it was not bad at all. Loved my chicken tikka masala and mushroom turkey meatballs the most. We are planning to try more dishes.
I have really enjoyed every meal I've received from Freshly. They all have a protein, a grain and a vegetable which is important to every meal, especially dinner. I appreciate the convenience, the taste, and the fact that they are basically low calorically.

My work schedule is hectic, and I have little time to shop and prepare meals, so more often than I should, was eating tasteless calories. Freshly has been a revelation and a healthy alternative that improves my life.

So far my family loves the service and the products we have tried so far. We all have different tastes and this gives us the opportunity to have a family meal and everyone gets what they want. My wife is a cancer patient and is not up to cooking for the family every night and this a great option, the only thing I would like is to be able to order more than 12 meals a week on the same account. With this virus and school being out I am considering a second account or trying to figure out how to get more than one order a week. Oh yea I still think we need taco Tuesday.
I am very surprised that I have loved each dish and have not had a bad meal yet! I have recommended these products to my friends.
So far I'm happy with the dishes I've received. Only issue is some times the veggies are chewy.

So far so good no complaints the foods I have received so far taste great and like real food don't have any fake or artificial taste to them
My only request is to have an option where different foods are sent with out me having to check every week and I only check off foods I did not like so that they aren't sent to me anymore and an option for breakfast and more meals at once for a better price

We eat the meals at dinner time and 3 hrs later my husband is having a bowl of cereal. Also, wish you'd include a dinner roll.

We've been members for about 4 weeks. We've been happy with the service so far. The meals arrive on time. I wish the delivery person would put the box out of sight though. The meals are very tasty but can be a little bland - no big deal though. Some added spice or pepper works great. I wish they offered some meatless options - they offer none. Overall, we are very pleased but with some vegetarian or vegan options it would be perfect.

Everything for the most part has been on point. I would like to see some more options. BBQ like Brisket or Tri Tip. More pasta dishes. Bring back the Chicken with Wild Rice.

Answer: Hi Marc, Thanks for your inquiry! At this time we change one meal per week, typically. We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
