I need to stop this meals. I don't have the money for these meals as the times are tough as the times are rough.
Freshly is a wonderful service. Fresh, quick delivery. Rich in flavor, bountiful ingredients!

My husband and I have been with Freshly for a few months now. We initially ordered twelve meals weekly but found that was too many for two older seniors. We are now receiving nine meals weekly and that seems to work nicely. Freshly has become our main source of food which was our goal in trying Freshly. We are so pleased with the quality of each meal. Of course we have our favorites and have some dietary issues which determines our weekly order. We enjoy trying the new dishes that Freshly offers. We could not be more pleased with the freshness, taste and quality of Freshly food!

I had a Freshly subscription a little over a year ago and loved it then. Now there are even more meals to choose from and they taste amazing.

The meals all looked alike by the time they got to my house. Everything was all mixed together. (Maybe you could purchase containers with dividers and vacuum seal the plastic tight to keep the food from shifting around) They did not even taste good. I could not tell what I was eating. I ordered 4 meals. The first one which I don't know what it was but it was nasty. I tried to eat another one but could not even get a bite in my mouth without feeling nauseated just looking at it, so that one was thrown away. The last two I gave to my son and daughter in law and they could not even taste them, they were so nasty looking.

I'm more of a chicken eater. I hate peas and carrots. Sometimes the side on a beef dish I would like on a chicken dish. And sometimes I won't get a chicken dish because of the side or vegetables. So I find I'm limited in my choices and get the same things over and over. And although they are good I get tired of the same thing. Using the sides u already make and just switch it up would give me more options. Otherwise, great job. Thanks

There has not been a meal yet that I have not loved. Portions are good sizes. The meats are cooked just right and all sides have been delicious. The few times I have had to interact with customer service they have been understanding, listen well and treat you like a valued member of the Freshly family. I have been impressed.

The service, web site, and app are good. The food is well-prepared.
My criticism is with the menu. There are about 30 dishes, 25 of which
Are bland "bits of chicken with veg" (a couple have turkey or pork)
And if you closed your eyes you would not be able to tell them apart
(even the curry and tex-mex are bland). There are 4 or 5 that have a
"large piece of chicken with veg" that are pretty good, and one
Shining jewel that has "a piece of steak with veg". No fish, no single
Pieces of pork, lamb, or veal; no vegetarian. And little with a hint of
Ethnic interest; there is a chicken tikka marsala
That tastes nothing like a curry and a chicken teriyaki with no teriyaki flavor.
The menu changes over time and has got steadily worse ever since I
Have been a customer.
Presumably they get feedback on their dishes, so perhaps I am just out
Of step with the rest of their customers, but in daily life my tastes
Are similar to my friends and colleagues.
I must also criticize their packaging: 20 lbs of gel ice packs that I have
To haul out to the trash. Why not use frozen
Water bottles like Amazon? Or at least the kind of gel that can go
Down the toilet.

We do update our menu typically once a week, and update our current recipes quite often! I'll be sure to pass your thoughts on to our chefs for further review! We do use plenty of gel ice packs to keep your meals cool, as we do ship our meals sometimes across many states, and food safety is out top priority! Freshly has helped me lose 15 pounds. The meals have helped me with portion control.
I love my Freshly Meals. Even when I get attached to one and it goes away, I find another oner to replace it and fall in love all over again!

I became a widow when my husband of 30 years died over 9 years ago. I have struggled trying to provide healthy food for myself since, having been an avid cook before and now a disinterested diner. Having subsisted on frozen dinners all this time, Freshly was a winner for me from the first meal, and though it may sound overly dramatic, truly a life changer I now look forward to dinnertime.

It's been great. I love getting my meals when I want. It's easy to change your meals and skip weeks. For the most part the food is delicious. Some dishes are little bland but that can be fixed at home. The reason it's not 5 stars is because I do feel that the portions are just a bit small. Especially for my husband. Also, I do feel it's a bit over priced at $10/meal. Other than that, I love Freshly and the different choices they provide.

Surprisingly good and healthy meals. I needed a change from fast food and eating out so I tried Freshly and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious their meals are. Very convenient to have them delivered and they are very easy to prepare. I have yet to choose a meal I didn't like and I have tried almost all of them. My wife likes the Turkey Meatloaf so I get some of those for her. These are really a good idea especially during this COVID 19 outbreak when you want to socially distance yourself from people and going to the grocery store.

Ordered the gumbo for the first time. It was delicious. Ordered again for the second time. Oh wow, so much salt! I ate half of it
Freshly is great, i really enjoy most of the meals and the service. I do have a couple of comments on the website design when choosing meals.
*Could a feature be added to the meal choosing where, if you click on a meal, you can see how you've rated it in the past? I rate the meals, but can't always remember if I liked a particular meal or not. It would be nice to be reminded that I loved or didn't like something before I decide to add it to my weekly menu.
*I try to choose my meals several weeks in advance, but sometimes I want to make a change to one of them. I don't like that if I change my meals for two weeks out, that it automatically changes the meals I've chosen on the orders 3 or 4 weeks out to those same meals. Can you remove that feature?

In the meantime, you may head to the "Rate Meals" page of your Freshly subscription, and when you scroll down you should be able to see what meals you've rated in the past. That should certainly aid in selecting meals that you know you've really liked! When you set your weekly order for one week, the following orders will update as well, so it is important to keep an eye on the upcoming meals, though should you need assistance in getting the orders updated, please feel free to get in touch with us at [email protected]!
I have to limit my salt intake. As a result I would like to see more foods with less than 700mg salt

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
