Better than expected. Great portion sides. Only complaint is that I wish there were more flavorful options that weren't spicy.
Overall the food is very good albeit not as good as it used to be. Recently food has been greasy. Lots of chicken meals, a plus, but no fish & they have deleted all vegetarian meals even though several meals would only require not adding meat to the meal, ie baked penne.
I like the idea and cost, but I did begin to get bored with the menu. Even my favorite Freshly meals were no longer hitting the spot. Most meal choices are based on chicken breast with some kind of sauce. There is no option for vegetarian. I wish the menu get more varieties or add new option frequently. My husband doesn't like chicken and my daughter is vegetarian. It means I still need to cook for her. I really expected to find a solution to not need to cook anymore :)

All Freshly meals come substantially boxed with lots of insulation & extra large freezer packs to ensure the meals stay cold enroute to your refrigerator. They also monitor the deliveries & if anything happens to compromise it they'll let you know that it either won't be delivered or if it is to throw it away. They'll then give you a good discount on your next 1 or 2 deliveries. Good customer service! They're also very conscientious about the quality of the ingredients & utilize lower fat & sugar options without compromising flavor. I really like their butternut squash "pasta" substitute. (My only complaint personally is it seems like a lot of the meals are of the "spicy" variety & I'm not a fan of those but I know a lot of people are. I especially don't like spicy green beans, etc.)

I started this for my Mom that lives alone and has early dementia. With the Covid 19 stay at home orders I was concerned for her getting out to the stores not fully understanding what was going on. Now I know she is getting much healthier meals and doesn't have to venture out. I have peace of mind too!

The dishes are very delicious, very convenient and easy to prepare. Also, i am working on my balance of carbs and protein - and great that all the detail is available for each meal. The online and mobile tools to manage ordered are very convenient. I used to eat our alot - think i'll be dining in more with Freshly. Very happy with the meals, service, and digital support.

Delivery as promised, on time for our afternoon supper. Well packaged with attention paid to each package. Instruction's for cooking spot on! Meals were delicious to "wish there were more!" not that we were shortchanged (we were not) but rather we really wished there was more because it was so good!

My meals arrive like clock work every work. The taste and portion is always consistent. Taste is always delicious.

I love the convenience and the options. I'm satisfied with the delivery that's always at my door when promised. Overall, I've had a great experience with the service as well as customer service. I'd take away another half star if I had the option: My one "complaint" would be the consistency with some of the meals. I can usually tell that not everyone has the same prepping/packing style, or were possibly in a hurry? Example, the Springtime Chicken Pilaf sometimes hardly has any sauce or it will be loaded with extra sauce. Or the chicken cacciatore will have the chicken "dumped" in the center and have VERY little to no sauce. Makes for disappointing dinners that I can't even finish :( so it's disappointing feeling like I wasted some money. Overall I guess because of convenience for my schedule I can take that risk :/

I don't like lots of your meals. I have found 7 dependable meals and if I stick to those, I'm ok. You have way too much chicken and your pork is tasteless and mushy.
Great tasting foods for me as I am not a great cook.

I've just received my third set of meals and I'm enjoying it, gives an easy variety to the week!
I like the meals but find that there are too many spicy ones. Also I wish that they would offer some fruits and salads. While there is a good selection of meals, I hope that they will be adding more of a variety in the future. I am super pleased with the delivery person I have. He is excellent. The customer service is also very good. I am very happy to be a client of Freshly and like the fact that you are interested in your client's opinion.

I've been receiving 6 meals a week from Freshly since November 2019. We have tried most of the meals and have identified approximately 10 we reorder regularly. We're grateful for the seasonal meal changes. The meals make my work week much easier.
All the meals have been great, mostly sized perfect. Impressed with the variety of choices. Have had 3 deliveries, 1st was perfect, 2nd came a whole 24 hours late and threw away, 3rd didn't come when FedEx said they couldn't get here. After begging for delivery, got it delivered same promised date. Not happy about ground distribution. Meals are great.

I had a delivery that was not delivered to my door, but I spoke to customer service and they were extremely helpful. The next delivery was right to my door right on time. I would recommend them to anyone who wants yummy meals delivered right to your door.

Its filling for about an hour... i just feel like the portions should be 800 calories. Of course, I am a 200 lb male.

Freshly has been fantastic for me! I'm single and live in Manhattan, so buying groceries and cooking can be ridiculously expensive! But, I found Freshly and they work perfectly for my dinner needs! They ate very affordable, taste delicious, low calorie, healthy AND shipping is free! I highly recommend Freshly for food/meal delivery service!

I am truly sorry to hear you've had delivery troubles in the past and aren't fulfilled with the current meal selection. Our entrees are designed to be enjoyed as lunch and/or dinner, though I understand the desire for something a bit lighter earlier in your day. We don't make dishes such as salads or wraps, due to concerns with the shelf life. Of course, I'll be sure to pass along your concerns with meal portions, over to our kitchen.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
