I ordered Freshly as a way to eat healthy delicious food and save myself some cooking time. Most of the meals I have ordered have fit the bill. I don't love every option I choose but that is the same thing that happens at a restaurant at times. This is worth the convenience for me. The food is delicious and the ingredients are quality while maintaining my health goals.
I hate cooking, and meal services requiring any kind of cooking isn't for me (tried blue apron, etc.), signed up for a cheaper but more healthy way to eat lunch at work ($20+ daily deliveries), freshly meals are about $10 for me and so convenient with a different variety of options to keep it interesting. Even under quarantine, have zero desire to cook, so still a great option for me. Also like that the meals are much healthier than what I would get from ordering take out all the time, which is what I'd do without freshly. Love it! Try it, won't hurt!

The portions are too small they need to be bigger and have more variety on the meals

This service fits our needs perfectly. Meals are ready in less than 10 minutes FOR REAL! The choices are exceptional and you don't get locked into anything you don't need. With both of us working at home on different schedules, Freshly has been a lifesaver.
The meals have good flavor, however nothing like they are advertised on tv in terms of presentation. Everything is mixed together in a single microwaveable bowl.

The food tastes good for the most part but the biggest problem is portion size, way too small and often left still hungry, sometimes missing or skipped ingredients. May move on and try another food service.

I have been with the company for 5 months now and love everything they have to offer on time food delivery they day it supposed to come and it comes fresh and packed so nice in a box.

Green beans were rubbery/old, not fresh Most larger cut vegetables Are not fully cooked and have a rubbery texture, like they were old and not fresh. Not real please with pork roast nor Sunday beef. Like chicken Mac or mash.
You may have already "heard" these suggestions as I shared them with Royce and Mark, but I'll answer here anyway. I order for my 82-year-old mother who lives in another home. She does not have technology because she can't work it. Right now I have to call her each week, read the options and descriptions to her sometimes multiple times (she is hard of hearing and forgets what I have already read to her), and try to remember the meals she likes/dislikes so we won't order a bad choice again. I tell you the situation because my suggestions are based on the difficulty I am experiencing ordering for her.
#1 It would be fantastic if you had the option of requesting a paper flier/catalogue to be included in the delivery so she can read the choices and their descriptions for herself. When you add new selections you could include a small note to indicate additions and deletions.
#2 When I am logged into her account, it would also be helpful if the ratings she has given each meal she has tried could be superimposed on the menu when I hover over the choice. That way I could easily see it and inform her if she is trying to order something she has already decided she does not like.
#3 Could there be the option of marking a selection somehow (perhaps with a big X) for the same reason. I believe the ratings now only stay in the account for a short time. I can't remember what she did and did not like. It is difficult to jump back and forth to look for the information, while reading everything for her.
I love the option of ordering for her, especially at this time, so I know she is eating healthy meals. I have even recommended your service to friends with relatives in similar situations. I just wish it could be more user friendly when using it for this purpose.
#4 I also received a survey email after Royce helped me the first time, but I did not answer. I'm not sure what happens when you click on one of the options. The answer I would have liked to give is that Royce tried very hard to be helpful and I was satisfied with him. He could not satisfy my request, so my situation was not resolved.

Overall, I love Freshly. Food is delicious. Service is great. The only meal I didn't love was the turkey and stuffing combo. I'd like to see barcodes on the meal sleeves in order to scan them into MyFitnessPal. I manually add my meals because I want them to be exactly the way they read. I'd also love to see more weight loss and fitness benefits of Freshly on social media and or the app if customers have the stories to share. That's why I started Freshly (into order to eat healthier and in proper portions). I'd also like to see you highlight your packaging more. I had to search to see which packaging you use to make sure it is safe to microwave. You should highlight that more. Highlighting where the ingredients are sourced in relation to the customer would also be an added benefit. I'd like to know where my food is coming from. I hope this helps. Thank you!
The food always show up fresh and while I haven't enjoyed every meal, that is more due to personal taste than the quality. I am a big guy so they are a little small for me as a meal, but toss in a piece of fruit and a mid afternoon snack and I am good to go. They are a nice substitute for eating out. In my opinion they are a little pricey for what you get, but you pay for the convenience.

Most of the meals are good, and we haven't had any issues with delivery. My only complaint is that sometimes the portion sizes are a bit small.
Our meals are 12-15 ounces, averaging 13.6 ounces! They're single serving and meant to feed one person, but we do have larger plans at 9 and 12 meals per week! Of course, I'll be sure to pass along your feedback as we always seek to improve! Thanks for rating us, Michele!
Ordered Freshly for my son who lives alone and he loves everything he has tried. Week 3 and he ate his meals before the next shipment arrived. Ordered two of the pepper steak but remarked "-all were solid". Gluten free and delicious is a huge plus!
Very small portions on all meals. The vegetables did not seem to be pre cooked and ended up like rubber after microwaving. We tried cooking in the oven without any difference. Peppercorn steal lacked a reasonable amount of sauce and the steak was very well done. The turkey dish was doused with sage and was all I could taste. Pasta dishes were actually good but not worth what you end ip paying foe them. Shipping was excellent. All in all overpriced TV dinners that weren't as good as Stouffers

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
