Due to weather in my area, our order was delayed, and the food will not be safe to eat by the time it gets here. When I reached out to Freshly, Lee J from customer service, not only refunded our fee for the week but also gave us a small credit for our next order for the inconvenience. Super impressed! So many companies won't take responsibility once it leaves their facility, not Freshly. Can't wait for our order next week.
I have been very pleased with the people on chat who are very capable and patient with all my questions. I titled this "Come and Go " because one of the things I really like is that you can stop receiving meals when you will be gone - or for whatever reason. I will also mention that I have lost weight since starting this. The portion sizes keep me full without tempting me to over eat and, because I can just pop them into the microwave, I am no longer walking in late and hungry grabbing anything to eat while I wait for dinner to be cooked. A big "Thank you" to Charm for today's help.

I am new to the Freshly order process. Today I worked with Vince on the chat box to change my delivery date and some of my meal orders. Vince was courteous, helpful and informative. Because of his on-screen research, he was able to change the delivery date & confirm for me which of my requested meals were available. He also educated me on the overall order scheduling process. Freshly & Vince made the entire on-line order stress-free and easy.
I bought the meals as a gift for my sister & she loved the food! Thanks!

Regine was so helpful and kind and thoughtful. I had a problem with not receiving via email the fourth gift promo code after purchasing four for my mother. She was great help. Regine made sure we received the fourth promo code and understood the process of using the gift "cards".

This is some of the most disgusting food I've ever tasted. It's like airplane food, only worse. The portions are tiny and the meals look and taste nothing like the pictures. My whole family hates it.
Hi Molly, I'm terribly sorry if you found our meals less than ideal. It is always our goal to provide delicious/quality meals and I'm very disappointed this has not been the case for you. Our meals contain a blend of spices and a mineral-dense sea salt that helps flavor and season the meal with an average portion size of 13.6 ounces depending on the meals, but we totally understand that flavor and tastefulness will depend on the customer's preferrence. The meals sent to the photographers for marketing and advertisement are the same as those sent to our customers. They just take extra steps to plate the meals for staging and presentation. While we aim to provide nutritious and appetizing meals but they are unavoidably shaken up a bit during shipping. I apologize for this one.
All in all, every bit of information we receive in any regard - no matter how large or small; good or bad - is an opportunity for us to gain the knowledge of what our customers are looking for from us. So, we'll be sure to share all your feedback with our team as we never stop improving our meals and diligently searching for ways to improve.

I've used Freshly for over a year. My husband and I wanted to eat out less, but we both hate to cook and do dishes. This was a great way to spend more time together, and spend less money. Side bonus of healthy meals we don't have to cook. The options vary, though not as much as some of the plans where you cook the meals yourself, but they introduce seasonal and new meals often, and unlike other plans, you do see the same meals often, so you can order your favorites over and over (we LOVE the BBQ w/greens and mac & cheese). We've had a couple issues with deliveries - the problem was the delivery company, not Freshly. Freshly made it right every time. This was during the beginning of the pandemic and they had every right to say, "not our problem." During the pandemic this service has been a literal lifesaver! I would wholeheartedly recommend Freshly to anyone that is looking to pay for their TIME back in life. If you like good food, but want fewer dishes and less fuss and muss preparing meals, this is a good option. We even take them for lunch at work!

Choices varied so there should be dinners you would like and the prep is very easy and quick.
Some meals were excellent tender and flavorful others were lacking.

Last week I received my first six meals from Freshly and so far they have been delicious and filling. The beef selection and chicken with sides that I have tried so far are tasty and well seasoned. I will continue to order from this company and suggest you try them also. Pheter helped me with my future options and was very informative, patient, as well as willing to search answers for me. This review is for an interaction I had with Freshly's customer care over text messaging. I had to text in for support because one of the items I had received in my box was damaged, and so inedible. I texted in to notify them and Adrianna was super helpful and efficient in getting me a refund for the damaged item. Thanks for the super support Adrianna!

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!
Answer: Hi Steven, Thank you for your interest in Freshly! We are a weekly subscription service, so you would be charged for, and delivered meals on a weekly basis. However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! These changes would just need to be made prior to your weekly deadline, which is outlined in your Welcome Email, Reminder Emails, and in your Meal Planner. I hope this helps!
Answer: Our meals are prepared and shipped out from our kitchen in Phoenix.:-) For Arizona deliveries we use FedEx.
Answer: The delivery window they give us is between 9am and 9pm. We package the meals to be safe for 2 days transit time, plus safe to sit outside for up to 12 hours upon delivery.:-)
Answer: Hi Nancy! We do not cook meals based on other programs' guidelines at this time. We're not overly concerned with calorie counts, but more concerned with where calories come from. Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. First and foremost, I'd like to inform you that we're a weekly subscription service, which means you'll receive meals weekly, and get charged weekly as well. Here are the steps to follow while signing up: 1 - Add your email address and zip code in the sign-up box on our homepage. ( www.Freshly.com) 2 - Pick your meal plan. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! The specific day of the week will be your weekly delivery day unless changed. 4 - Select your delicious meals from our 30+ selections. 5 - Add your contact info, payment details, and delivery address.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. You'll want to reheat the meal to an inner temperature of 165° F.)

We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. While carrier delays are out of the norm, weather-related issues, road closures, driver confusion, etc. can wreak havoc. We have a dedicated delivery team that works directly with our carriers to ensure successful deliveries, and we're always sure to compensate when delays arise. We certainly hope this helps! Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
