Thank you for your interest in Footwear etc. Our headquarters is located in California, and we're now celebrating over 30 years of great customer service. We're a family run business, which started as one store, but has grown to 11 locations along with our online store. Simply stated, we're old fashioned when it comes to the way we treat our customers. We pride ourselves on making people happy.
Why should you shop with us? In addition to our great customer service, we carry what we feel are the best products in footwear today. If it's uncomfortable, we simply don't sell it. You'll also talk to real people when you call in. Each staff member is trained, friendly and solution-oriented. In addition to comfort, we focus on remedying common problems in the feet and legs. I often find that any shoe on sale is either not in wide or is sold out in my size by the time I get the email. I used to buy all my shoes at the Univerity City store, and I was heartbroken when it closed. It is very difficult to get to Hillcrest or Encinitas, and the stores are so small that they seem crowded. La Jolla would be a great location for a store as many of us older people who constantly walk need comfortable shoes and trying them on before buying is optimal. Ann Shannon

Great set of brands, good service, easy site to use
I ordered two pairs of Women's Tide II sandals. I've worn many similar Vionic sandals over the years, and when I tried these on, the Bronze pair fit perfectly, but the Tortoise pair were too tight. It took me a long time to figure out why there was a discrepancy. I finally saw that the tight pair was made in Vietnam, and their sizing was different. The pair made in China was just fine. I'd have rather had both pairs of sandals, but there was no way I could wear the tight ones, so I called customer service. Erin helped facilitate a return. She made it so easy for me. I've used Footwear etc. in the past, and I have always found them to be knowledgeable and helpful and patient. This is a great company, and I'll buy from them again in the future.
It's been many years since I ordered shoes from you. I have hypermobility and a history of severe pronation. I found that Vionic sandals, which were Orthoheel back then, gave me the best support. Something I really liked about your store was that I could call and get very knowledgeable people on the phone who could give me frank, detailed information about shoes I wanted to try. I really need a high arch and a low heel cup, and I needed the kind of personalized help I got from you.
Excellent customer service. The shoe was a size too small, so sadly had to return. I have goofy feet, however and wear 10,10.5 or 11, depending upon the shoe.
I am very impressed with the selection of shoes of all types and sizes on the Footwear Etc. website. Wish there was a store in my state.
