FoodNetwork Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is increasingly tarnished by customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived declines in programming quality and a lack of engaging content. Viewers express frustration over repetitive shows, perceived arrogance from hosts, and a shift away from the original cooking-centric focus. Additionally, customers report poor customer service, citing unresponsive support regarding issues such as lost recipes. While some fans still appreciate select shows, the overall sentiment indicates a longing for a return to the network's foundational values of culinary education and inspiration, suggesting a need for significant content and service improvements.

Stanley Tucci's Show
March 14, 2023

I don't think Food Network is paying attention to what they're viewers want. Bring back Stanley Tucci's show in Italy! It has nearly a 5-star review and it was canceled! Take off one of Guy Fierri's many shows that we're sick to death of to make room and bring Stanley's show back!

Loving It!
February 9, 2023

I am loving most all of Food Network. Not too excited about the Kids Baking Championship, but it certainly works for those kids. Love Guy Fieri, except the Triple D episodes. It's great for the businesses, but the tempo of the episodes is too much for me. I love Triple G, Tournament of Champions, The Kitchen, Beat Bobby Flay, Chopped and now I'm enjoying Super Chef Grudge Match. Darnell is is a great narrator and very authentic. Very entertaining, keeps me on the edge of my seat. Hope to continue to see these programs, as well as Flay with his daughter, Giada anywhere, and of course Alton Brown. Thanks for the great programming!

I used to enjoy the Kitchen they had a great variety.
But I literally cannot watch it anymore the hosts are just so full of themselves, I suppose its hard to stay humble when you are on your own show, but they have become obnoxious and quite honestly stupid and their behavior. I was literally watching the game day show right now and it's a Train wreck

There is no one more obnoxious, loud & annoying than Sunny Anderson. Her 'personality' clashes with the other refined members on The Kitchen. Rea Drummond is too focused on promoting her family & her recipes always relates to a family member or event.
How can Food Network continue to sponsor these irritating personalities? What happened to Ina Gardner & Martha Stewart. Simply Ming is great! Henry, his son, is in the background & takes directions then falls back & he complements the show.
I change the channel when Anderson's mouth opens, "know what I'm sayin?", so aggravating. I don't watch Drummond.

Food Network magazine used to be a good buy. Now that magazine is more than 50% ads and promotions for their products. Someone bought me a subscription this last year, and every single one had nothing worthwhile to make in it. I have often wondered why so many of the recipes on their website have four and five star ratings when the recipes are garbage. I now suspect it's because they don't put all of the bad reviews through. In the last four months I've run across several recipes that didn't deserve more than one star rating. So I put that rating in with my comments as to why and it said my post was being moderated but would be up shortly. The posts were never approved.

Heartbroken
December 10, 2022

I viewed the yule log challenge with the children today.
It was obvious that the black girl clearly ran circles around the competition. She made two kinds of cakes and was the most creative...but typical food network...they gave the win to her white counterpart. Smh.

Gotta go with out sunny
November 22, 2022

Sunnny Anderson is so loud and eats everything in sight. The camera has caught her eating like a pig. The kitchen would be better off without her. Everyone else is refined. She is so annoying on beat Bobby Flay. I hate watching her, her ya know what I means, are more than annoying! I love the kitchen and fell Jeff would be a good grill master. Please do us all a favor and let her go. I've seen her team mates being annoyed at her eating. No manners, simply uncouth! Don't enjoy her one bit. More of the others, not her, fire her please.

I watch PBS cooking shows bc it is about cooking, IMO Guy ruined the network with Suzie and Bob by making it a food contest network. They never pick the best cooks for the next food network star and then struggle to find a show for them. Damaris, Eddie Jackson and Lenny McNab are unwatchable and bring nothing to the network. It should be focusing on cooking shows and food trends ie Med diet, low carb and Keto diets. With the exception of chopped I'll be watching ATK and PBS shows, they blow the food and cooking networks away when it comes to dinner ideas and recipes. Which is what I am looking for vs watching a show about people who cant cook.

I'M DONE WITH FOODNETWORK
September 2, 2022

Just watched, for the first time, "No Recipe Road Trip" hosted by 4 idiots playing with their food. Food Network used to focus on good food, new recipes and cooking techniques that incorporated hosts with experience, intelligence and likable personalities. Now you have game shows hosted by clowns like Guy Fieri; there's Alex Guarnaschelli who bites her nails to the quick, then uses ungloved hands to prepare food; there's Pioneer Woman who has an annoying, squeaky voice to emphasize superlative descriptions of recipes and ingredients. (How can everything be the most delicious, or her absolute favorite?); and then there's Sunny Anderson who eats like a pig and can't keep her mouth shut for any other reason. Even Ina Garten has been talked into a new show that includes celebrity friends. Not much cooking but lots of shared $#*!-kissing. Guess I'll have to rely on my food magazine subscriptions.

Black people and people of color barely gets shows or win on the Food Network, especially when Ree Drummond, Amanda Freitag and Geoffrey Zakarian are judging or hosting. I'm sick of seeing these cooks/chefs with (Bobby Flay) included. I've been watching the Food Network for over 10 years and you can always guess who's going to win a competition when these three are judging!

It is almost impossible to track down a recipe on a show you might be watching. See below. When you look up an episode there are no recipes links available. So frustrating!

I used to love this channel, I won't be watching it anymore. Between Flay and his buddy Alex they have managed to do nothing but serve and feed their own egos. They've ruined this program. DISGUSTING.

I've been a dedicated viewer for 20 plus years. Please listen to your viewers when they say something isn't working. Stop saturating us with Guy Fieri enough already! Bring back Iron Chef the best show ever. Now it's on Netflix and it's not the same. I want to see the original Iron Chefs.

Gender politics
June 27, 2022

How can you reconcile a gay guy in drag fawning over a supposed straight male substitute on his food truck. While at it, how can you show a gay make thrusting his abdomen at the posterior of another gay man? Forget the politics of gender, if those were heterosexual encounters it would be deemed unacceptable.

I used to watch the food network to see chefs really cook. Make recipes that I would want to try. Other than a handful of shows, there are no real cooking chefs giving recommendations and their own recipes. I'd even settle for re-runs of old shows. In the beginning Food Network knew what viewers were looking for. They have lost their way.

Guy Fieri seems to be on all the time with some stupid/goofy game show. At one time I would watch Food Network all the time. Now I watch Ina, Ree, etc because the cook with recipes you can follow. Diners, drive-ins and dives is enough to make you immediately grab the remote to turn it off, Guys grocery games and the like suck. Even Chopped has gotten old. I now watch chefs really cook on PBS. They have the right idea. Get with it Food Network.

So disappointed with new chopped episodes. Judges for 420 ridiculous. Bring back the old crew. Not wasting my time or money on your app. I'm not a prude but should be food. Don't think you have had a alcohol wasted basket. So why weed?

My husband and I really enjoy a number of shows on the Food Network, HOWEVER, we are sick and tired of the EXTREMELY irritating and nerve wracking continuous background music, especially when contestants and judges are talking! It's so obnoxious and irritating that we sometimes can't watch a program to the end! Also, we truly enjoyed watching The Kitchen when Sunny Anderson was gone for awhile. She's very annoying! Thank you very much for your attention to this critique.
