I booked 2 tickets to Mexico. I got what I thought was a confirmation (booking confirmation pdf#) Weeks later I decided to call the airlines and pick my seat only to find out that our tickets were actually only put on a hold but never booked! They had cancelled them. OMG can you imagine if I had not decided to get a seat assignment? Aeromexico then told me to call Delta as they might have them. Delta did not! I re-booked the ticket with Delta for $136 less! Can you say One happy person. Thank God for Delta!
Btw. I tried calling them. Was put on automatic hold for 1 1/2 hrs and then they hung up on me. I called back and after 1 hrs on hold gave up! Do yourself a favor. I have checked my credit card. So far no billing. They better not!
Stay away from this site.
I tried to book a flights round trip from Grand Rapids to Orlando. I received an email telling me that there was a problem. The email did not state the problem. I called the number and after waiting 10 minutes, was connected to a gentleman from India. He was patient, but he was difficult to understand. My problem was that they could not book my flight to Orlando. He did not know why. He said I could try callling the airline.
I was also charged two insurance fees, while the web site stated that $45.74 covered both passengers Roger said he would remove the extra charge. Do you think that will happen? LOL.
I went back on the web and booked the flight to Orlando myself. Hopefully I will not get charged from Flight24 for the Orlando flight they could not provide!
I booked one direct return flight and I didn't have any problems. From the time that I clicked on the website it took me around 20 minutes to search, compare, decide on a flight and fill out my cretid card and other details. It was better than I had expected.
I'm a military soldier, and I booked with them for my leave seeing as it was a really affordable price. Well, being military means every privelege you get is subject to change. My mission required that I return a few days earlier than what I had scheduled. This change occured within 20 days of my upcoming flight home. Regardless of cancellation fees and additional costs (they would more than likely be waived for the military anyway), I emailed and called the travel agency multiple times in order to get my return flight scheduled earlier.
They didn't email me for at least 2 days. Their office hours are 9am to 6pm Pacific Time, and I spent over 6 hours on the phone trying to reach them -- 2/3 of their work day. Every time someone picked up the phone, I was met with either confusion, told to call another number, or was put on hold for upwards of 30 minutes (the most being two and a half hours). I was told that in order to change my booking, I would have to call the airline, who (when I called) told me that only the travel agent could change the booking (so I had to call flights24 back). It isn't a hard thing to do, and any fees in my situation would be waived anyway, so a company that has trouble resolving this simple issue shouldn't be trusted.
These people are unproffesional and they do not know what they are doing. I personally felt as if they were holding out on my emails and phone calls until I would eventually give up and stop trying to modify my transaction with them. Their customer service is beyond poor, and barely capable of doing the job competently.
Purchased a ticket. No comfirmation page or comfirmation email. Purchased another one. The same. Went to see my credit card statement. 2 pending transactions for $3 each. Sent them an email to all their websites - the spanish one, the german,. Everyone. Only the spanish one answered me but I think they are $#*!ed as after 10 emails they couldn't understand what my problem is. Stay away.
If Site Jabber had 0 stars that's what I would've put! These people are a scam! I kept trying to call and email and they don't respond! I'm about to lose my tickets because of Them! I DON'T recommend them! They stink!
I bought (or I thought I bought) a ticket from Nashville to a European city. They (flights24.com) said that within 24 hrs I will get a confirmation that it is ticketed. Also, 79 dollars were charged as "booking fee". After 24 hours, no confirmation e-mail came. I e-mailed them, and only then they told me that it was cancelled. I would stay away from this website at all cost!
Well, I wonder about all those super negative comments about it comming from people who just makes THAT review and that's it. I've tried a few booking websites and so far I can say this one is not the best, but I really had no big prob with them. I also found the insurance fee a bit unclear, but I disabled it, so I didn't had to pay extra for it. The condition terms are kinda confusing too, so you always have to take lot of care in such cheap booking website. I had worse with another ones and I guess this is why I think this one it's ok, because I still didn't had any trouble. But my experience with such websites is you always have to read everything really carefully and watch your steps. Best thing is consulting more than one to get the best price.
Clicked "Book My Flight" and it took me to the home page. Immediately looked to call them and no phone number. Quick google search and you can plainly see that this site is a fraud.
I booked a flight to Montana from NYC and when I hit "purchase" was told I owed a $60.00 "booking fee" that was not mentioned n the website. I tried calling. HA! HA! 20 times one day and 30 times the next day and finally I got through... only to be told that I cannot cancel my ticket because it is too late... they emailed me at 2:21pm in the afternoon and gave me until 5PM to cancel. WOW! All of 2 and a half hours. Who sits in front of a computer every second of the day to make certain you don't "MISS" a 2 and a half hour window! I wrote many emails upon reading my "cancellation" email and tried calling them and NOTHING. They did not response to any of my emails... and when I finally got through to them 28 hours after they wrote me that they would cancel the flight, I was told it was too late! I WILL NOT ONLY NEVER USE THEM AGAIN, I WILL TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN ABOUT HOW BAD THEY ARE!
I purchased a ticket for my daughter through Flights24. I received an email back that certainly looked like a ticket, but it turned out it was a "booking request" There was no email indicating that my credit card was not accepted. The credit card was certainly good. I thought no more about the ticket until my daughter arrived at the airport to find out she didn't have a ticket. A call or an email from flights24 would have fixed this in five minutes... instead, it was a disaster at the airport. NO WAY TO DO BUSINESS.
Purchased ticket from lehigh valley airport to knoxville, tenn. Unable to get in touch with flight 24 on telephone numerous times tried to reach them on hold for over 1/2 hour. Flight was purchased for 6/30 and ticketed for 7/1. Trying to reach them to change flight. Do not use this site Charged extra fee that was not advertised Sue s
Horrible site. Like others who have used this site to book flights, I thought I was getting a reasonable deal until the final click to purchase the tickets. It was at that time that I saw the service charge that was not indicated anywhere on the website. $86.20 added to the ticket price. I was enraged and tried to call the phone number on the itinerary many times within the first hour of making the reservation. Each time I would hear the phone ringing on the other end and then the phone went dead. This company scams all that use them to purchase tickets. It is like a one-arm bandit. I called my credit card company and reported the entire transaction, planning to cancel everything, only to learn flights24.com charges $50 per ticket to cancel. I am screwed. Lesson learned. BUYER BEWARE.
I went on Google to look for flights and ended up at flights24 which I did not know a lot about before. I had to book a flight for my sister to go to NYC and I found they had the best prices. Looking at the other sites people recommended me, I think I actually got a really good deal for her. I don't know if I just had luck to book on the right date or if they always have good deals, but it seems like it's cheaper than going to the airline. We were lucky that she wanted to fly out of vacation season, but New York is a popular spot anyway.
My sister was happy with the price when I told her and I know she booked with flights24.com again so I assume everything went well with the flight and at the airport etc.
I first tried to book with cheaptickets.com but there were no seats available to go back to schipol. So I had to look for other opportunities. Well, I had to fly via London with a different airline than that I came to the states with but thats ok. Payment and booking handling was very quick.
The flights prices were up to date and I found some good offers from PHL to New York JFK. I also had no problem booking two connecting flights with different airlines. I would use this site again..
I did a search for a flight from Lugansk to Moscow and when selecting chosen flight was directed to Flights24.com. I completed all fields for purchase and next day received email from Flights24.com requesting photo copy of both sides of credit card and photo copy of either driver's license or passport.
Sent email requesting reason for photo copies and stating that I felt this was unsafe due to credit card fraud.- NO Response
Attempted to call ( *******253) Flights24.com directly. I started dialing at 9 am PDT and after several rings system hung up. Continues this until 4pm PDT and finally a human answered and asked me to hold. 25 minutes later an individual finally came on line and stated that the airline requested these photo copies. This individual had the worst accent and was almost impossible to understanad.
I scanned the credit card and my license and sent them via "Reply" to the email sent from Flights24.com. No response from this company for two days. Attempted to call directly and again it took over 6 hours to finally get a human to respond. The individual stated that they received my documents and I should get a confirmation within the hour via email.
Next day I received an email stating that my card was refused. I contacted my credit card company and was informed that no credit card transaction was ever attempted. I requested my credit card company to not allow any transactions from this company and to please inform me before approving any credit card transactions.
I responded to the rejection email that I was no longer interested in this purchase and sent an email informing Flights24.com that they were the world leader in extremely poor customer relations.
I recommend to everyone if you ever see the site FLIGHTS24.com appear DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
I've never used a travel agent to organize a vacation or trip but I can see the attraction if you have to spend time searching and checking different sites. Basically you just compare the flights you want and make one booking, even if it is with more than one carrier. I found it pretty easy to use when I was flying from Nashville to Detroit and back. I saved about 30 bucks which is pretty good. I was able to find a cheap flight and the booking process was quick so I'd give it 5 stars. I guess the confirmation email could have come through more quickly but that seemed to come from the airline anyway so a small delay. I don't have much experience booking online but this site worked well (at least for me).
Overall I was pleased with my first booking. I think that the calender that shows up under the possible dates is a bit small but as soon as your search results show up then it's easy to read. The website is quiet straight forward so it doesn't take long to complete a booking and it's possible to book connecting flights together without making separate bookings. It took a while for me to get the confirmation mail but when it came everything worked fine after that.
I don't even remember how I landed on their page, I was reluctant to begin with because I had never heard of them before, however they had what I was looking for: a trip from Europe to the US with ONLY 1 stop. So I went ahead and booked it, gave my credit card info, received a confirmation email. Within a few minutes I received another email stating that they were unable to verify my credit card and asked for a copy of the front & back of the card, as well as a copy of my id! This is when I freaked out. Tried calling them, and calling, and calling... 40times at least... I go on automatic hold and then I get disconnected. Then I emailed twice, no response. I called again, and a couple of times someone picked up but they put me on hold before I could say NOOOOOOOOOOO.
I ended up having to call my company and have them block my card. No, nothing was charged but I sure do believe that this site is a SCAM!
Stay away!
