I ordered a variety of chocolate with a view to taking some to NZ (I have a granddaughter who is lactose intolerant and Federation chocolate suits her well)
As usual, they never fail to disappoint with exquisite chocolate and the fudges are sublime! There is an extensive choice and make great presents for the chocolate connoisseur.

I tried some samples at the Salamanca market and immediately bought three bars. I am a chocolate "nut" and have tried many, many types of chocolate. This is honestly the best chocolate I have ever had. I am back in the US now and am rationing my 1/4 remaining bar to little nibbles, it is that good. I have even looked into getting it shipped here but shipping cost ($50) is prohibitive. Federation, please consider selling on Amazon--you are the best chocolate ever!

When we started making our sugar-free chocolate we wanted a chocolate that people wanted to eat wether they needed sugar free or not and it took some time, some late nights and lots and lots of tasting for us to be satisfied with the recipe.

Made just a few days before purchase, the chocolate was truly worth the cost (which isn't cheap). The sugar free dark chocolate is beautiful and doesn't have they strong bitter aftertaste that usual dark chocolate does. It is incredibly smooth and irresistibly delicious. Moving on, the next to reach my palate was the creme brûlée fudge. Wow! This is great. You only get four bits in a packet, but that is all you need. It is delightfully rich without being overwhelming. The Turkish Delight came out next and was also very yummy! Last but not least the caramel nougat, which I couldn't stop going back for. I usually don't like sugary things, hence the sugar free dark chocolate, but this, my oh my, is the essence of my being. Thank you delicious magazine for leading me to this oasis. The great service was also an added bonus.

The rum and raisin chocolate is an interesting one to get the balance with as we use real rum (From a famous Queensland rum business ;) and not an essence which makes the rum milder in flavour but richer in contrast.
