I had trouble getting my first try at buying a pear tree from FastGrowing Trees. I believe it was due to shipping too early for our area. We are in a valley just below a range of mountains and all the nurseries and people who tell us what growing zone we are in claim we are in zone 4. However, they should still have us in zone 3. I had to set the trees on my patio for several weeks as it was still freezing, snowing and blowing in our area when the trees arrived. Also, the tree was damaged upon arrival due to the transportation company. However, through all this my times on the telephone with their representatives was a good experience. They knew what they were doing, were pleasant and spoke clear English. When the tree did not survive and I notified them they had a credit for me immediatley and a new tree on the way as soon as it was available. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for nursery stock.
First tree I got was in xlnt condition after 14 days transport. Second tree I ordered was in terrible shape and had been out of the ground and not watered. Customer service was good and received another tree. $29 shipping extra. Don't feel I should have had to pay for their failure. Replacement tree was in fair condition, it's in the ground and will see what spring brings.
This is not my first experience buying trees from FastGrowingTrees. Trees in the prior purchase are doing well. Unfortunately, I don't think that the two persimmon trees are going to make it. When I saw that they were delivered, I immediately went and unpacked them. It turned out that the delivery company left the boxes standing with trees upside down. The trees were looking very sad. I planted them very quickly but now they look like they are dying. At least I got 1 year guarantee on one of them.
I ordered a tree to be delivered to a relative who lost their pet. Trees can be nice memorials. As far as I know, the tree arrived in a timely fashion and in good shape.

I looked for a ficus tree in garden shops around town and could only find small, very expensive ones. The tree I ordered from FastGrowingTrees was bigger and cheaper than any of them. And it arrived quickly and was healthy. Very happy with my order.
I wasn't happy. The first Coral Bark had (and has) 60 plus % of leaves curled and discolored. I know that next spring the leaves will come in perfectly, but PLEASE don't tell me it's only cosmetics. Most dissatifying was the top 8-10" had been 'burnt' in shipping and had to be trimmed off. I let fastgrowingtrees know, sent a pic, and the next thing I know, they had another one sent to me. Well, I had spent $191.21, still their reaction time was simply amazing. Mind you, I didn't even HINT that I wanted another Coral Bark. So the second tree arrived. It was short by a couple inches of 4'. Again I let fastgrowingtrees know. Within 4 days they had reimbursed my account the difference between a 3' and a 4'.
No matter the problem, fastgrowingtrees will make the issue right. Never thought I'd say this, but as a botanist, fastgrowingtrees is definitely a company you can trust with your yard.
So far so good. The three trees I purchased were packed with care and arrived quickly. One is planted in my yard and the other two are in containers and all are thriving so far. Will be ordering again!
Several of the young trees that were recently planted, have died. After notifying FastGrowingTrees, I am expecting replacement trees. Very satisfied!
I was super disappointed with the size/overall health of the trees I received. They haven't really improved in the last month, either, even with constant watering. The trees were relatively expensive too.

Answer: Cancel your order now before it's too late, go to a local nursery and save yourself some money and unwarranted aggravation, these folks are not honorable.
Answer: I ordered 3 autumn blaze maples. They have been in the ground for 2 years now and have yet to turn red in the fall. I did some research and found that they only turn red if the temperature conditions are right. I live in Idaho and we basically skipped fall this year and went straight into winter. So once again the leaves just turned brown. I am hoping to finally get a display next year.
Answer: The same thing is happening to me. My tree died and they keep saying they're going to make good and nothing happens. Real crooks, this company.
