I was hoping for a hardier tree with sign of fruit within a year. We kept it in a greenhouse through the Winter, have it in the Sun and water on a regular basis. When can we expect it to bear fruit?
We purchased one tree that died, fortunately we bought the insurance BUT it is not an equal replacement we had to pay some extra because the second tree was larger.
We have a couple of purchases with different results. The olive tea tree seems to be doing fine but does not show growth and has not bloomed. We think it is ok. The strawberry "plants" were a major disapointment. We invisioned receiving plants, not a small cone of sprouts. Initially a third of them never thrived. Of the ones that took root and began to grow, we only have six that have stayed alive out of the 25 purchased. They show no sign of fruit. Of the five hydranges, two look like they are ok. One has dies, the other two are struggling with few new leaves and have had many brown dry ones. We probably won't bother with future orders because we don't seem to get our money's worth. Thank you anyway.
We ordered 2 apple trees to replace two trees we purchased many years ago from Walmart that never really grew. The trees we purchased arrived looking very healthy. Since planting them a few months ago, they have really thrived and we are very pleased.
I bought 10 Giant green and a Black Bamboo, but what i get Qualitywise is not realy better than what you get at Lowes or Homedepot and cost much more. I'll buy in the future somewhere else.
The trees seen to be nice quality, but I've had to replce at least 1 or 2 could be the hot SC weather. My Sylvester and poplar have died but the Gardenia tree is beautiful.
Overall the experience was good. The stakes and straps to secure the trees were not very helpful ( at least for me). We did have a tree that was dead or dying and they replaced it with no problem.
All different type trees I have ordered arrived in great shape and are growing and producing fruit. The Meyer lemon tree is loaded. I hope the limbs can support them
Arrived wonderfully packed, protected and healthy. Now growing beautifully in my front yard. All purchases I have made from Fast Growing Trees have arrived in the same condition.
Plants arrived safely and healthy. Exceptional growth, but I have not had them in the ground long enough to say much more. I am hopeful they will bloom this first year and survive for many more years
Purchased a pygmy date, a triumph muscadine and a key lime. The grapes looked great and are doing quite well a few months later, the date palm was and is beautiful, the key lime is a slightly different story. Arrived looking beautiful but it quickly got sick. Long story short I followed their advice and when it didn't work they generously replaced it no charge, sent me another even larger (later in the year so obviously) key lime. Have since made another purchase and those are all doing quite well also. Two figs, a yerba I believe something else though at the moment i can't remember... Anyway the three mentioned are all growing quite well indeed
The trees came quickly and were well packed and the customer service has been good. Overall the experience is positive - but I felt I needed to reflect the fact that the Meyer Lemon I bought was extremely lopsided. ALL the branches on one side of the tree were pruned off and so it has all its growth on one side of the tree. I try to give the bare side more access to the sun hoping it might grow a little more in that direction - but the other side just grows bigger and makes it progressively more lopsided.
I wish I could share photos of the trees that I have purchased over the past ten years and how they have grown. Have purchased and given many as unique gifts as well. Excellent company that stands behind their products.
I have bought two trees through Fast Growing Trees, and they both have arrived healthy and growing well.
Ordered a Bosc Pear tree. When it came, I planted it in a large pot as the root ball was about as big as my two fists, almost no feeder roots at all. Very poorly dug. Picked it up by the ball and trunk and the tree was wobbly and pulled out of the ball completely when I tried to plant it. Leaves were flagging and stayed that way for months until it grew some roots. It is in the ground and I have my fingers crossed as it is putting out new growth. Also had to prune a lot of dead tips where newer growth had died. I bought two pears at a local garden center and they cost the same and were in excellent health. Bought an espaliered apple tree for 39.00 dollars from Home Depot and it is in perfect condition. Called about the poor condition and was told to wait for a month. Did so and it had a small amount of new growth. Decided to wait and see. Still in poor condition but it's alive. Not a company I have any faith in and will not buy from again.
The tree's were small and half of them died already. I've emailed three times and got no response. So I'm going to a local nursery and bye from now on
