Buyer Beware: Despite emailing customer service moments after placing an order, company did not reply to my request to cancel for 72hrs, and instead processed my order. The auto-reply email I received after submitting my cancelation request stated they would reply to me within 24hrs. They purposefully sat on my email so they can process the order and then hide behind their ToS which states no refunds. They are also not BBB verified, must be hiding behind some DBA. The service prices they provided was also grossly inflate: they charged me 7x the rate if I had gone directly to the department of state website. All in all, a slim ball of a company.
I Googled to get to the California State website to on-line file the Statement of Information. I got Fastfilings site, and didn't notice that they were an outside service, and charged $74 (California charges $25), nor double-confirm that amount like almost all legitimate sites. And even though I emailed them immediately to cancel, the response was that it was too late, as they process immediately (even on the weekend, when I entered the order). Pretty misleading and scammy.

I googled California Secretary of State and somehow ended up on their website. You can tell from their responses to complaints that it is their intention to fool people into using their services. "We told you", "You confirmed"... SCAM. I filed the document myself immediately after noticing my mistake and it cost me $20. They charged $103.95 and say THEY filed. Why would the Secretary of State accept my filing if they did it already?
Hello, yes, if you hired us to file for a Statement of Information, then we would have probably filed and processed that the same day. We are crystal, crystal clear about the service description and how the service works, and you actively have to agree to it before ordering. If you didn't like the service, then why would you hire us? We unfortunately can't entertain this complaint as valid.
We needed a sellers permit ASAP, we were a little weary but decided to try it out and so far we are happy!

I used Fast Filings for their DBA service. It was incredibly easy and convenient, and only cost $50. They took care of all the DBA paperwork, mailed it to me ready to sign, and even included a prepaid envelope for me to mail it all in. Great service I will use again.
Fast Filings has totally outdone my expectations. I am truly grateful and impressed by their expertise, service, speed, and communication. Let me explain:
So, I needed a CA seller's permit for an upcoming event to buy product from a vendor for my business. It took me no joke about 3 hours to try to figure out how to apply for a seller's permit through the California state office directly (big mistake). By the time I figured out how to apply, and completed my application, I was ready to pull all of my hair out. It was a huge time commitment, and it was confusing.
After I applied, I got a notification that CA was processing the application, and to check back in a few days. So I checked back in a few days and there was a message "Your application has been denied. We apologize for the inconvenience". That's it. No phone number, no direction or info on how to figure out the problem. Nothing.
So, I then went online to Fastfilings.com, and did an order through them, completely expecting them to tell me that the application was also denied. Shortly after I placed the order, I received an email Fast Filings them stating that they completed the filing, and that there was an existing old account on file with the State of California, and they needed the account number to get the filing approved. They provided me the phone number to the specific state district office who had jurisdiction over my previous account, which I called, and who gave me the account number for the old account (the whole process of calling the district office took less than 5 minutes). I then supplied that number to Fast Filings by replying to their email, and they emailed me the completed permit shortly thereafter.
In other words, if I didn't use Fast Filings I would never have been able to get the CA seller's permit. I would have never known what the issue holding the permit approval was, I would have never known which specific district office to contact, I would have never known that my old account number was needed, etc.
Fast Filings has proven to be experts at what they do. Their communication is excellent, and their speed is excellent.

I applied for a California DBA, which cost me $49.95. Days later, I received 2 forms, directions and a postage paid envelope. FastFiling did nothing! Their ads are misleading. On top of that, I just went back on thier website and now they say they don't do California DBAs -- after taking my money to do so. STAY AWAY!
To your reponse - YOUR ADS are misleading. Period. And to not refund my $49.95 is basically stealing.

Keep in mind our service description is crystal clear, as is the fact that orders cannot be canceled. In fact, you cannot even place an order without actively checking a box and confirming you understand the service, and understand that orders can't be canceled. We have these policies in place because as you stated- we process orders lighting fast. In summary, we are transparent, and we are faster than anyone in the industry. I think anybody would agree that that is the opposite of "scammy" as you phrased it.
