Scam
December 24, 2021

I used this company several times during 5 years. So far didn't have any problems until today on the morning 6 hours before my flight. I called to emergency line and they began conversation with only one option I have to cancel my flight. After 15 min of conversation I realized that this company are chitin me, because they each 5 min they change the option. Finally the promise to refund my ticket which I was agree. Then in an hour I received the email that they can't refund my money. I tried to call them again the hang of me.

Seems they are trying to get your money cheat you by providing lower price once you booked your flight it's telling submitted and wait 24 hours, then if you try to cancel it non refundable just will get credit wasting your time, thanks God I was able to cancel it under 24 hours US DOT law, just noticed this scammer reviews lower 2 stars it's indicating how good they are in wasting people's time and money, the transaction appears under their name not the airline, never seen before … 0 star

No customer service at all. Some one needs to shut this company down and put them in Jail.

Fareboom: BEWARE of this site
November 26, 2021

By far the worst customer service I have ever come across in my entire life. They cancelled my return flights just 48 hours before my trip began and blamed it on the airlines. In reality, the airlines didn't cancel the flights but it was Fareboom that completely jeopardized my travel plans. When asked, they didn't share reason for the cancellation or alternate options for the return flights. All I got was that my concern has been sent to ticketing department. All this just 48 hours before my departure. I had to cancel the entire itinerary and ask for refund because there was no return flights in it. It was completely Fareboom 's fault. They charged 97 dollar service fee for each ticket for the refund and And on top of this my refund doesn't even include an amount (680 dollars) which I paid as a fare difference for preponing one of my flights earlier. This is a SCAM.

FRAUDBOOM
November 12, 2021

They stole 3,000 dollars from me. I am disgusted with the CEO Marko Cedez. They illegally are taking money claiming it's the airlines cancellation policy, when talking to the airlines directly, they said they charge zero amounts for a refund. BBB has over 56 claims against them.

Do not book with Fareboom
October 12, 2021

Biggest waste of money. No service. Fareboom does not answer phone, e-mail/note slow response which is not an alternative flight offer. Air Canada would have given all money back after cancellation but Fareboom kept $450, for what? Nothing. Most inflexible for rebooking. Must rebook all parties on same route, dates or contact them and you get zero customer service. Overall rating should be zero Stars. Cheap tickets but if airline cancels you get a voucher you can't use because rebooking is a nightmare, if even possible. Don't see how Fareboom can stay in business. I have not been able to rebook after many attempts online, by calling, or writing to Fareboom.

This is the worst company ever. I lost so much money. They have no customer service. Their emergency contact number is a scam and it never works. I believe someone is running this company from their basement and they have just family members running the calls. Stay away from this scam.

What a Headache!
September 30, 2021

Dealing with this company has been the bane of my existence for quite some time now. I booked flights a long time ago for Paris which were cancelled due to Covid, however I was given a travel certificate to use for future flights. Unfortunately, this only applies to the same airline from my original trip booking and would only accommodate the same amount of trip deals. Long story short, it became impossible to find anything to book that wouldn't cause a burning hole in my wallet. Now that I've attempted to get a refund, I'm paying cancellation fees AND have had several complications with submitting my credit card details for such fees. I will quite literally never ever use a third-party company like this again for trip planning. Also, to be noted - it is quite IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone on the phone. I've been putting 'notes' in my profile for conversation with agents which is not only timely but not efficient. At my wit's end now, I scheduled a call tomorrow to figure out what to do about my credit card that is being declined for some apparent reason so that I can get my refund and be done with all this crap! I've no doubt my call tomorrow will be just as obnoxious as everything else I've had to deal with.

They claimed they understand and speak 9 languages but when you called there is no one to speak with except being transferred to a dead end. No one should be a ticket from fareboom.com.
By the way, this website is owned by the best travel store. And when you try to access their website it takes you to fareboom.com

Never again
September 24, 2021

I realize this is a difficult time, but I feel totally cheated by fareboom. I had a voucher and after numerous emails and unfriendly customer reps, ended up paying almost full price for my exchanged ticket. Never again will I book with them.

Poor customer service
September 1, 2021

Fareboom representatives gave me false information on the value of my ticket. They dated the ticket expiration was not till December 2021 and now I want to use it they are saying the ticket expired last December 2020. Instead of taking accountability and compensating me for their miscommunication, my ticket lost its value.
Also whenever you call customer service it hangs up. I don't intend to use this site anymore and I advice no one else does.

I should have read the reviews before purchasing air tickets from Fareboom. Yes, they were a little bit lower in price compared to other sites but if you are not aware of their business practices then you are screwed. The day before my departure I received the cancellation of airline flight notice from Fareboom. The airline said that Fareboom canceled one of my return flight segments. I called Fareboom and denied that it was them that canceled and reissued my e-ticket. I flew to my destination. The day before my return flight, I received the cancellation email again. Fareboom does not accept calls. I requested a call back thru their website. Someone called me and was promised to be called back once the situation gets fixed. No call returned. I was able to fly back home but not because of FareBoom, let's say it is because of Divine intervention. DO NOT TRUST FareBoom.

I had my family Travel booked West Jet Flight through Fareboom last year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we had to cancel our trip and I tried to get the refund and Fareboom told me that my ticket is valid for 2 years and I can re-book my ticket via Fareboom. I am trying calling them since 3/18/22 and my phone gets disconnected each time and I am calling numerous times though out the day and sending messages through Web Portal. But I am not getting help I need to re-book my fight and price is going up everyday. I would highly advise not to book your ticket through Fareboom, REALLY BAD FAREBOOM SERVICE. Also tried calling West Jet, they said they cannot help me. Looks like I have *******@1200 with Fareboom and West Jet :(

Let me begin this review by disclosing that my initial impression with this company was quite positive. The prices were competitive and the ease of booking made it an enticing buy. Therein lies the trap. If anything goes wrong with your itinerary, if there is, perhaps, a global pandemic, buckle up!

We purchased tickets for three passengers prior to the official lockdowns and global closures back in early 2020. The flights were scheduled for August 2020, departing from the US and entering Europe. The official guidelines prohibited nonessential travel and we were left with little choice on how to get a refund.
As many are surely aware, Fareboom offered a voucher that can be used at any point between March 2020 and March 2022. We decided to hold off on the trip until the restrictions eased and we could travel again.

Fast forward to May 2021, we contact Fareboom to book vouchers. The website, the most unintuitive user interface imaginable, purposefully omits the option to book vouchers separately. A notice on the exchange portal reads "Please contact customer service in order to fulfill individual voucher exchange requests". We now begin the back and forth arduous process of setting up appointments, writing chat messages, and emails to secure a desirable date at a reasonable price.

The initial ticket cost was $955/pp purchased back in early 2020. The exchange cost quoted on their own website in 2021 came to around +$550/pp, seemed a bit high, but not egregious. We proceed to contact Fareboom directly via appointments to secure a date and price. We offer all relevant details that pertain to said flights, who will be traveling, who will not be able to, and what dates they depart and return. Meticulously keeping a record of conversations. The first representative we spoke to provided us with a +$963/pp cost for the exchange. I was flabbergasted, the same day and hour we found a better price they are now gaslighting us regarding price. The agent apologized incenserily (who can fault them, it's only a difference of +$400/pp compared to fair market value). Regardless, we continue to hope that perhaps we spoke to them at an inopportune time where prices were higher and given airfare volatility we remained hopeful we would be able to get a good deal.

The process has now ground to a complete halt, emails are not being answered in a timely manner, chats are not being responded to, and appointments are spaced weeks apart. We are now left bewildered wondering how to redeem our tickets at best market value in a timely manner given this impossibly difficult scenario entirely created by Fareboom. Weeks go by with no progress regarding booking, and we begin to press them regarding their business tactics. Immediately they become defensive, accusatory and non compliant with completely reasonable requests. Their customer service effectively begins to ignore us, and knowingly obfuscate the situation.

At this point, we are at our wits end, we have three options. We can cancel the tickets and immediately lose $475 per ticket with an additional cancellation initiation fee of $75 per ticket. An over 50% loss on the value of the original tickets. Option 2, we can book a flight priced significantly higher than fair market value via Fareboom and be stuck with the potential financial consequences when invariably something goes wrong. Option 3, forfeit tickets entirely, taking a total loss.

This company goes above and beyond when it comes to defrauding it's customers, by coercing them into a ridiculous price point via their exchange program. Stay as far away as possible from this business, the fact that they employ telemarketing/mlm/pyramid scheme/ponzi scheme tactics is astounding.

Everyone I come into contact with in the future that has any plans regarding travel will be warned.

This is by far the worst travel company I ever deal with. We tried rebooking our flight after covid restrictions were lifted, and they quoted us prices that are much higher than the airline is offering on their websites. When we found a similar price on Fareboom website, they claimed they could not give us that price because ours is an "exchange" rather than a new flight. To get a refund? They were not only going to charge us $100/person, they want us to pay the $100 (times 5 people) upfront, but won't refund our money for another 8 weeks! So not only are they holding our original fare hostage (about $4300) they now asked us to pay another $500 to "process our refund". This company is a scam

DON"T EVER USE THEM
April 27, 2021

Last year I had a flight to london on united airlines I paid $140 for the one way. The airlines made flight changes and then to do covid I couldn't make it to the trip. I was told I would be given a $140 dollar credit. Now that I want to book a flight on United from EWR to Bogota which is $94.00. Fareboom wants me to pay $269 to get that $94.00 dollars flight. DONT EVER BOOK WITH FAREBOOM. TRY EXPEDIA They are the best.
