I purchased 3 rugs on 11/19/22, in which I paid cash for them, I discovered the rugs were too big for the area I needed them for. I returned the rugs on 11/20/22 & was informed by the cashier that because of the amount of the refund $32.94, it would have to be refunded to me on a gift card because it was more than $5, I was confused because I paid cash & the items were returned unopened within 24hrs. It was verified with the manager; Now I am FORCED to come back to Family Dollar to spend that amount of $. The rugs were what I needed at the time, that doesn't mean that I need anything else at that amount, why is this Family Dollars Policy, what is the rationale behind it? Family Dollar makes it hard to reach anyone in customer service, I wrote them, I'm still waiting on a response. If any customer or potential customer reads this complaint, If you think you may have to return anything for Any reason & you pay CASH for it, Make sure it is NOT over $5 or they will give you a Gift Card, Buyer Beware.
First of all let me start by saying I been in customer service for over 20 years including managing family dollar. The service and etiquette is definitely missing and has been since our team left. This store can't remember store# but 4602 e ponce de Leon in clarkston yall should be shamed. Casjiers on phone, speaker mind u while ringing customers up. No professionalism and no help. $5 coupon off never works at this location and no damn assist. Yes it's simple to go to another one but try fixing the brokenness at this location. Customer service socks all across the board except the female I think is manager. Been wanting to complain but I try not to, the cashier this morning 11-26 has an accent and was there alone, talking on the phone and customers should never know that mind u! Just unbelievable
On November 25th, 2022 at approximately 17:15 I went to Family Dollar located as 3212, Mobile Hwy. Montgomery, Al. A employee was at the front door, I asked why I couldn't go in, she stated because they had been robbed and she was only letting 3 people at a time. I asked her was this policy, she said Yes. Once I was able to enter the store, I advised her I was going to contact corporate. She preceded to curse me "Stating she didn't give a $#*!.," I asked her is it a Family Dollar policy to curse a customer? She then stated she was going to put me out the store. I ignored her and advised her that I would be contacting corporate about her behavior. When I was leaving the store I advised a young man who also works at Family Dollar is it policy for a employee to curse a customer. He stated she was the manager. I don't understand what training that she received to be a manager, because I thought managers or even employees were not supposed to use foul language towards a customer. I thought all employees are a extension Family Dollar. I would like someone from corporate to please contact me at *******785. Thanks. Vickie Wright
Just wanted to make an banna pudding for the holiday and they give u this nasty stuff and rude Customer service I'm willl be getting in contact with the Corporate office because something has to be done about this
I moved next to the family dollar at 613 Broadway Albuquerque NM and I don't have a car so my 5 year old and I have enjoyed having the store close by and on holloween night I went in and realized I forgot my debit card so I put the two items I had grabbed down and walked out. The next morning I went back and as I was walking up to the counter the guy with the punk style mowhawk says get out get out I was shocked that he was talking to me and he said I saw you on camera stealing last night but I didn't steal and I don't steal so he was obviously lieing because I did not steal so I could not believe a store can hire such punk looking unprofessional certified liars because he didn't let me by my items which where the same items I cudnt purchase the night before. And worst part is now my 5 year old and I have to walk 45 min to next store all because some bogus made up lie so ty family dollar like being a single dad ain't hard enough.
FAMILY DOLLAR AT SOUTH AVE IN SYR. NY IS THE WORST STORE I HAVE EVER SEEN#1. WENT THERE THIS PAST SATURDAY, COOLERS EMPTY.#2 3 PIZZAS IN ENTIRE COOLER, BOXES WERE OPEN, PIZZA STICKING OUT OF THE BOXES. MOST OF THE COOLERS WERE EITHER EMPTY, OR HAD LITTLE TO NOTHING

I have work and visit many dollar stores in my 57 years this is one of the worst ran dollar stores I have ever encountered half staff just don't care how could your company stay in Business if this is the way you guys run your operation how could u make money
I down loaded the app they had paper plates from the 4th of July for a penny they refused to sell them to me employee said they had to throw them away
I had clipped a $5 coupon on the app and as I checked out at the register it never took it off. For as much money as I spent her I could of gone to Walmart and got more for what I paid for here.
I went to store#******* in powder springs ga and I don't know if the lady(tall slim, African American with glasses) was pissed because she had to come from the back of the store to check me out, but I got $10 cash back. When she hands me my receipt and cash, she states very RUDELY and sternly that for future reference we don't give cash back. Now I did not see the sign and made a honest mistake, I tell the lady that she did not have to be so rude about, she then states that I didn't know how to take criticism, that was not criticism(that just being rude) and I told it was not what she said but how she said it. She then proceed to tell me that she would say whatever she wanted and I could get out of her store, I tell her then that I was going to contact corporate she states she didn't care about the either that I need to get out. I did tell her I would come back when she was there and ask for cash back again just to piss her off and again she told me to leave. I left but I will NEVER go back to that store and I hope someone with corporate is reading this because that employee is RUDE UNPROFFESSIONAL and needs more customer service training. I would never tell anyone to go to this location, I would give it a ZERO star if it would let me
Dear patrons, Sept. 2nd 2022 I went to a the Rocky Creek location to buy a cell charging cord. The cashier said they had some so I ask her for the location, I purchased the cord only to find out after I opened it was not compatible with my Samsung A13 cell phone i just purchased. I ask for a refund,, I was told I could not get it from the afternoon shift I had to get it from the Store Manager. I went to the store Mgr and she was the nastiest female I have ever encountered at Family Dollar, she said I could not get a refund it did't matter the cord didn't work either get the same one or call Corporate. I spent $16.40 including tax. I have the receipt.If it were 116.40 I'd file a small claims suit. It doesn't make sense for this rude Store Manager to treat me like that, I am a Phd of Theology I have my own Ministry I have never been treated so RUDE. I went to the Family dollar Atlantic Highlands Hwy 36. I was greeted by a lovely young lady named Natalie. She began to help me get a phone She went out of her way to help me She was courteous patient a day an overall joy She made my day. I rate her service a 10. Big body lady did not allow me to enter after 5 people consecutively walked in after I was told to wait. After I tried to go in after such discrimination I was told to wait again. Do Not order here! Ordered a case of soap was sent the wrong brand but am allergic to wrong item and after jumping through hoops like they asked me to do to explain and send pictures ect was immediately told they don't send replacements (what I actually ordered) So I have a case of soap that I cannot use. Very difficult company to deal with!
The Family Dollar at Central and Wyoming never charges you the correct price that's on the Shelf they just charge you whatever they want and when you tell them anything they tell me they don't have enough people to change prices but they sure have people to stand outside smoking and the people there they don't care the guy today claim that they do that at every Family Dollar that's not true
