I have ordered from Fabric.com for several years, lately they they're customer service is falling down, rude, very rude. Also it use to be free shipping on $35 now it is free shipping on $50, also some fabric you must order a minimum amount instead of what you want or need... also the turn around time is getting longer and longer especially if you order several different cuts of fabric... VERY DISAPPOINTING, I have moved my online ordering to a different co.
I have ordered from Fabric.com many times, the last few orders, the fabric has come filthy dirty and has been damaged. I have also received my fabric in pieces instead of one continuous piece. I am DONE ordering from them, Customer service reps were rude and unhelpful
I've ordered from them several times and never had any problems. Fabric was high quality, orders were shipped correctly and in good time, and the cuts were fairly straight with a couple extra inches measured just in case.
I was looking through the fabric list and found a few that I liked but after reading the reviews... no thanks!
I have ordered from this company several times over the past few years and was very happy, but that has now changed. My last two orders were shorted. 6 inches on a 2 yard piece in June and on my last order in July 2017. I ordered 11 yards of $17 fabric only to receive an Email asking if they could send a 8 yard and a 3 yard piece! (they said they had 19 yards in stock when I ordered) I really wanted this fabric for my curtains and the site said the item was now "out of stock" So I re-figured and decided with some changes it could be done. When my fabric arrived the 3 yard piece was so crooked that when I evened the edges, I was 6 inches short! On a hunch I went back and checked the fabric and it was now "in stock" with 19 yards! Plus it was $1.00 cheaper! Totally dishonest! I would advise to stay away from this company unless you buy really cheap fabric!
Read the description carefully, know your fabrics, and be precise when ordering. Excellent service and quality as expected. Goodbye Joanne's!
I've been ordering from Fabric.com for several years and have always been pleased with quality and processing of purchases. So great to be able to order from home online... I really don't miss the hassle of going out to a fabric store browsing through the isles of fabric... I just search online with Fabric.com and haven't been disappointed or made a poor selection yet. Waiting this date on a new type fabric purchased to use with crafting! Just one thing... would enjoy a coupon once in a while!
Do not purchase from them as in the past was fine but now just unbelievable incompetent individuals who do not care that they made mistakes and refuse to help. It says on line that Amazon purchased the company but they refuse to help too! RUN or you will lose your money.
I ordered 9 yards of fabric for a backing, imagine my surprise when I only recieved 8 yards and it was cut into 4 pieces of approximately 2 yards each. Fabric was also cut crooked and very wrinkled. Customer support said I could return it but there was not more in stock and no guarantee I would get continuous yardage.
Just simply exceptional service, but better yet, Fabric is as close as possible to a small image. I couldn't believe my eyes. It superseded my expectations. This is my new place to shop. I have a fashion show coming up, and this most certainly met my sketches. Variety, colour, price, and delivery. You have it all. Bravo.
After being a customer for a few years and ordering many swatches and yards of fabric to be delivered to Australia I had never had a complaint. Imagine my astonishment when on ordering 2 swatches the shipping was calculated at almost $30. I have never paid more than $4.00 previously. I emailed customer service and was told shipping was calculated by weight and I tried explaining to them that a swatch weighs almost nothing but they didn't look into it for me even though I knew their calculations were wrong. I have since ordered 3 swatches from another USA company; 3 swatches plus delivery for $12.00 Australian dollars. Fabric.com don't give a hoot so they've lost me.
Love the price, love the convenience, hate the condition of the delivered fabric. Fabric comes stuffed in a plastic bag, with so many wrinkles in the fabric that it takes Best Press to get them out, when I go to put it away in my stash. Try ironing 3 to 6 yards of fabric when you get it, just so you can neatly fold it for later use. Never again will I order from Fabric.com unless they improve on their packaging.
Ordered 6 skeins of a yarn I have been trying to get for a long time. Flawless transaction, quick fulfillment, reasonable shipping rate, fast shipping. Very very happy and will gladly do business with Fabric.com again!
I really want to purchase fabric, but after reading review after review about their business practices and product, I'm looking elsewhere.
I recently spent hundreds of dollars with fabric.com. Then I placed my most recent order for 6 yards of fabric. Their website said they had 27 yards in inventory. Imagine my surprise when I received a 4 yard cut and a 2 yard cut. One length was folded right out and the other cut was folded right side in. I am assuming the 4 yard piece was a "return" from another customer and fabric.com wanted to unload it on me. Their inventory yardage went from 27 to 25 yards after my order so obviously the 4 yards came from somewhere other than from the bolt. I guess they don't want to establish a loyal customer base. I will NEVER get fabric from fabric.com again.
I bought 6 yards of lining fabric I ended up not using. I cut a small piece (2"x2") and was hoping to return the rest of the 6 yards for 5 yards worth of credit. I thought paying for a whole yard when I only used a 2x2-inch piece was fair, but they didn't. I became a first- and last-time customer with just one purchase.
We purchased some fabric from them and it was. Ever received. I filed a claim with them and ups investigated 3 times. Someone signed for the shipment using my first name but the picture of the signature wasn't mine. Anyway fabric.com wouldn't refund my money or ever resolve the fact that I said I never received the fabric i ordered. They never offered to ship me a new shipment either. We spent $100 bucks and never got anything in return, and we are a low income family. Just beware. I tried to post a review on their site but it was never approved so it never posted. I hope someone reads this before buying from them. Please please please, purchase your fabric somewhere else. Don't get screwed.
My fabric was poorly cut & folded. The cut was crooked and I got less fabric than I purchased. The fabric was also super wrinkly due to bad packaging. Lots of better options for modern quilting fabric out there than fabric.com.
I have issues with UPS Tamworth, UK holding onto my order because they do not take COD and it has been 'abandoned'. I called them and have been told I have to contact UPS in the US the area code doesn't exist so I can't call. I called them again and now I have to contact Fabric.com to get them to authorize release. What is this? Has anyone else had this issue? Tamworth depot have horrendous reviews and all I want is my order that I paid for. No one notified me that it was being held and that there was a problem. I thought I'd track it's progress as it was taking ages to arrive. Don't UPS, USA communicate with UPS, Tamworth? I have always received the package at home and paid COD there and then so why is there a problem with delivering it to my address? Can anyone help me please, I am pulling my hair out!
I ordered six pieces of fabric from this site eventually receiving 2 of them through the mail about a week later. When the rest did not arrive I contacted customer service and was told replacement fabric would be sent out priority mail and arrive in 3 days. One week later I called the computers were down and I was asked to call later. When I did that the next day I was assured that the tracking showed it would be delivered that very day via mail. I walked out to the mail truck every day for four more days before calling again. It had in fact been sent out UPS (so obviously not the first time I called) and was finally delivered today. One month and four phone calls to customer service. I feel like I did more work than they did and by the way I think I may still be missing a piece of fabric. I plan to chalk that up to lesson learned.
Answer: Hawthorne Threads is great.
Answer: Im using them for almost a year but no more... they keep sending me 25 % discount almost every week to gain me back... NO WAY! Yeah i order atleast 2,000 each order... total loss for them... until now they still awe me money for the fleece fabric i order long time ago, when i order it it has 50 yards of it, after 10 days they gonna tell me its out of stock, waited for replacement, until now no replacement... i got a lot of horrible experience with this company,,, dirty fabric that looks like somebody use it to rub on their body... really really sucks!
Answer: My business is making curtains. I have dealt with this company for the past two years and I think the customer service department is doing the best they can with trying to making it look like the company has it together. They do not have it together at all. There is no excuse with the volume of business that they do that they cannot afford a system that can tell you immediately an item is out of stock. I cannot tell you how many times I have purchased fabric from this company only to learn three days later that it is not in stock. Then they hold the rest of your order for another three to four days after you answer an email telling them to continue to ship the rest of the order. I have had fabric arrive to me balled up in a box that they didn't even bother to put in a bag, I have had fabric with shoe prints on it in the middle of the bolt or pieces of fabric missing from a ten yard order that were cut out of the middle of the ten yards. I am trying to eventually not use this company at all anymore as they don't have a clue as to how to treat customers or just don't care. The only problem is they have run all of the mom and pop online fabric stores out of business with lower prices (this was maybe two years ago) and the smaller businesses couldn't keep up with them so they closed. Now that they have the market they have raised their prices because they have very little competition out there. If you leave a good review for this company you are one in a million that have had a pleasurable experience. Just because you bought from them once and don't have a complaint means nothing, consider yourself lucky.
Answer: It's a US website, so they'll take the money in US dollars, but if they take orders from Australia your bank or payment processor will have to convert the currency according to the current exchange rate and I think they may also charge a fee for doing this.
Answer: Thank you so much for your inquiry. Please feel free to send your contact information to [email protected], and I would be more than happy to forward it to the appropriate people.
Answer: You would have been better off contacting fabric.com directly. It doesn't look like they even know about this website.
Answer: I would call or email them, including as much detail as you can... order #, what fabrics were ordered and approximately the time of the order. Have never had this happen to me from Fabric.com, have from another online site and was lucky that I got the help I needed. Good Luck.
Answer: As a customer of theirs, almost an ex-customer of theirs at this point, I can honestly say they have made absolutely no changes for the better in my case. They have paid absolutely no attention to any of my issues with them, which is why I'm about to become a former customer.
