I ordered some yarn on 12/7/14. I placed 2 separate orders. They sent me an email saying due to overwhelming requests on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, my shipment had been delayed, but they would "expedite" it at no additional charge. One order arrived on 12/17, the other on 12/19 (so 10 days is "expedited" shipping?). There were numerous items that were "back ordered." Most of those were delivered on 12/22/14. However, they sent me an email for one item (as mentioned by another customer on this site) and said I needed to choose something else. I ended up buying it from knitting-warehouse.com. I am still waiting on 2 yarns that they said would be in stock on 1/9. The items showed "in stock" at their website as of 1/12, so I called them. They said they didn't know if the items were really in stock or if it was an internet inventory error. Okay, so the website previously showed "0" available and now it shows "42" but they don't know if that's correct? Who is stocking over there? How can you not know if you have something or if it is an error? How could you erroneously count 42 items and enter that into the computer? Supposedly they will let me know in 24 hours if it is really in stock or not. How ridiculous! How can you operate a shipping company if you cannot accurately control your inventory?!

TERRIBLE customer service! Do not order from this site! The first time they sent me the wrong fabric and then offered me a 10.00 credit. Then the second time I waited 1 week and 4 days for status on my package to find out that fabric I ordered was not in stock. When I placed the order it said 70 yards were in stock. I asked them to replace my order with a similar fabric that was a dollar more per yard. They asked that I pay the difference! I contacted customer service 3x to speak to a manager and they said they were not available. Finally I the lady told me all she could do is give me a credit again and fabric comes in on huge bolts so there is just nothing they can do! I was told the manager was busy and she asked me what exactly I was trying to accomplish by speaking to a manager. Ridiculous! Terrible customer service, do not order from this company!

Wish I had read the reviews. Slow shipping, poor quality of some of the fabric and the worst customer service ever. I have been trying fior 3 weeks to return fabric and still haven't gotten a satisfactory response.

When you buy their fabric, you are told how many yards they have in stock. I bought 3 out of 48 yards two months ago, and 5 out if 22 last month. Both times you get a confirmation of your purchase. Eleven days later you get an email telling you that the item you purchased is no longer in stock and you have 24 hours to find a similar replacement of equal or lesser value. You scramble and comb thru their stock but things are no longer on sale and a suitable replacement would cost a tad more. They won't let you pay for the difference. So you pick something that meets their requirements and you let them know within 24 hrs., but from that point on they stop talking to you. No response to your emails. You try calling and they talk to you once, basically taking a message and promising a call back. Your calls thereafter go to their vm., and your detailed messages are probably never heard, and certainly never addressed. Your package arrives FIVE weeks later. How hard is it to upgrade your inventory software and stop losing customers? And if you know it takes a month to process an order and a week for shipment, let the customer know upfront. I fell for it twice but learned my lesson. This testimonial is to warn others to expect this to happen.

My friend made an order with them last month they took more than a week to ship the order & they only do so after several emails chasing them. I'm tempted by the discount offered so I went ahead & try them out hoping that I'll get lucky. Order confirmation was on 3 Dec but as of today I've not heard from them. Sent several emails asking them to send my order by 16th Dec cause I need those fabrics to make Christmas presents. But no response at all. Today I've sent another emails asking them to cancel my order, still no response.

Well, mine is just a small order I wonder why is it so hard to sent them out. I've shopped for my hobby for several years now & have bought from many fabrics online stores, they are all good, is just so encouraging to shop for more but not with fabric.com they are just not up to it. Their service is extremely slow.

If they are running such a big online store but do not have enough manpower to fulfill order pls stop all sales & stop upsetting customers. Or, pls indicate on your website: "orders will take forever to ship, please do not contact customer service we will not respond."

Their fabrics cut is not as promised generous 37" instead of 36" and if you buy half yardage is worst. Their fabrics got a filthy feels you definitely got to wash it before use. But the worst is their customer service, I've never came across customer service not responding to emails for several days since I've shop online from day 1. The only attractive thing is they offered $35 with free shipping. I hope more fabrics stores in the US can offered that too!

Complete fail
December 11, 2014

Complete fail. Ordered fleece, received broadcloth. Correct item not in stock any longer. Asked how to return for credit, told to leave on front door step and UPS would come pick it up - NOT! Asked how credit would be issued, told they would have to wait until their f'd up warehouse would receive the package from UPS - Good luck! Seem like this is a shady business. Order at your own risk.

This is the worst company i ever used. But since i like their fabric, i give them another try, another try and another try... its just getting worse and worse... The shipping time is horrible, everybody is not honest. Oh i will make sure your order will be shipped today ( tuesday) and until now thursday still never processed... what is wrong with this? We are not talking about small orders here, im ordering thousand and thousand of dollars here... oh well i told them they just lost 1 customer... Good thing i starts using the other company... If. Can give this a zero star for ratings i will...

Awful customer service. I did not receive what I ordered as it mysteriously sold out 5 days after I paid for it. No resolution offered other an explanation of their policies. Do not waste your time, money and sanity.

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service from Fabric.com today. THE WORST. Basically they ran out of fabric I already paid for (ordered SUNDAY) and instead of offering me a coupon or an equivalent fabric at the same price, they told me they were anxiously awaiting my order for my replacement... which by the way had to be of equal or lesser value and if it was lesser they would not honor the free shipping. I also called them Tuesday and asked why it was not shipped... They told me it would ship Wednesday and they LIED about that too. I had to email them to ask why my order STILL hadn't shipped... They sold my already paid for fabric to someone else!

I call bull$#*!. Don't use these shysters. The bait and switch is a ridiculous move.

Oh man

Oh man. Why didn't I read the reviews before ordering... They don't do what they promise, they lie and overall the customer service is poor and rude. The shipping sucks big time. I will never order anything from them again. I haven't even gotten my stuff yet, but I'm already super disappointed.

Shipping took way longer than it was supposed to and I even called several days after it was supposed to have shipped because it was no longer going to arrive in time for the needed event and I couldn't cancel or anything. Only order if you don't mind waiting months for your fabric.

I have shopped here for 3 years. I love the selection, the sales the overall prices are better than elsewhere. I love having a place to get any type of fabric, and not just quilting fabric. I am quite baffled at the bad reviews. I have never had a single problem and I have purchased quite a few times. Speedy shipping and customer service when I have a question. Love this place.

I, m NOT happy with this company. I had 2 orders about $250 which were on hold "PENDING"! Seemingly they say the money didn, t COME through from paypal. I put it in 11th Oct & by 14th Oct they cancelled my order. I have sent several emails to them & I ONLY get "this order is cancelled"! Have left messages to get back to me by PHONE so I can talk to a PERSON! Still waiting! They are due me quite a bit refund too. NOT HAPPY!

Absolutely terrible at keeping their shipment dates and LIE when they promise to get your order to you.

I placed a huge order and expected to have it on a certain date. When that date came around and my order hadn't arrived, I called to find out that one item (thread) was back ordered so Fabric.com KEPT MY ENTIRE ORDER on hold. When I called and found this out, I demanded my order (minus the back ordered thread) be shipped and was promised two day shipping (it would be in my hands in two days). On the day I was supposed to have my order, I received a "shipped" notice, my order was shipped on the day I was supposed to have it. My project was pushed back a week and a half (10 days) due to holding back my ENTIRE order and FALSE PROMISES of 2-3 day shipping.

I will never trust Fabric.com again for any of my fabric orders. I am sure the products are great, but I can get the same products elsewhere where the entire order won't be held back until I somehow figure out to call and tell them to send it.

I placed an order with this company nearly a week ago, still hasn't shipped... there site said it was "pending" so finally I emailed and they replied that an item I had ordered was out of stock and to replace it with something of equal or lesser value. I responded right away and told them to ship the rest of my order without it. I haven't received a response yet and the order is still on hold... I won't order from this site again. On the website it says it will ship within 2 to 3 days. I call bologna on that!

Poor Poor Service! When I checked my order and it was not delivered as it said it was I checked with the others in the house and no delivery. I called Fabric.com to report it and all they said was they would put a tracer on it and it would take up to 8 days before they decide to send out a replacement or not. EIGHT DAYS! It does not take a UPS driver EIGHT DAYS to try and trace his tracks to figure out what he did with my package. But they said, "It's not our fault we did our part!" So did I! I was stupid enough to shop here and pay for it. I will not order from them again. I order alot online and if orders have been screwed up it has never taken EIGHT DAYS to get an answer... but I guess they feel this is customer service. I will go to JoAnn's next time. Their order arrived two days before this one was supposed to. I would take the drive or order somewhere else besides here.
