They don't disclose this but every 3-4 months they reevaluate the value of your unit and change the price. My monthly bill doubled. I will be living out ASAP and not giving them another penny.

BAIT AND SWITCH! BUYER BEWARE.

I have no issue with the property or the nice folks who work there. However, I take HUGE exception to the two price increases they have levied on me in just 12 months. My 10 by 10 unit went from $155 to $167 to $193, all in 12 months. NOT ACCEPTABLE!

Within a year of them acquiring the building i had been at for years my rent increased 2 times totaling 170% they agreed to lower it a tiny bit but they never did they continued to charge me raised rate I tried resolve 3 months 2 of them I was at unit the month I was out of unit I called several times of all the times I called and was told ild get call back I got 1 call back person did not see problem that I had been overcharged at least 2 months 3 if you count the fact they said I could have lower rate to begin with plus they have a deposit of $10 dollars rent increases were not isolated to previous tenants probably the worst thing has been poor customer service resolution I did not have the choice to pay what I was told I could pay because of the system not showing it even though it's a small amount it really leaves you feeling helpless there was nothing I could do in this situation without risking my property I would recommend you do a complaint search yourself this is a common occurrence with this company

This is the worse storage place. I helped a friend move out their stuff and there was rat poop everywhere! So disgusting! Do not recommend this place to anyone- it's expensive especially to have rats!

Renting here only a short time and this happens. They claim my contract says something that it does'nt!

Without any warning or explanation, they raised my rent twice in just under a year 106$. They're late fees are horrific too. I was a week late and they bilked me for 79$. I'm through with these bastards.

Extra space storage has mold and there's nothing i can do about it, its unheard of

After 2 months my rent is going up 100% on a 5x10 they get you in and then charge you I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau also

The people that extra space storage have been exceptionally nice and helpful. Bob, at Sherman Street in San Diego, has been extra nice. He helped me select and get just the right size, and when I needed a bit more space he was able to get me another right beside my existing storage.
Today, when I consolidated down to one storage again, he processed prorated refund while I was there.
I would recommend extra space storage based on the people alone, and add that the facility is always clean, well lit, and secure.

Nina dils terrible customer service violated my right as a customer asked to see lease agreement didnt not want to show me and proceeded to tell me to leave and did not want to do buisness with me because she said I looked suspicious

The facility on Hessmer is extreme clean and safe. The staff are very professional and friendly. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs storage.

This is a company that could not care less about people or their belongings stored in their facilities. They definitely crossed a line that should have never been crossed and did not need to be crossed in our case. They are scam artists and much worse. They do not care how they mistreat their customers. A manager at one site knew that a storage unit contained not only generations of sentimentals but evidence necessary to prove an assault. The manager, with the blessing of the higher ups, "disposed of" "trashed" as they told us, everything left that we could not get out in one day and asked for a few extra days. We paid thousands upon thousands over a period of yrs after fleeing a domestic situation; this manger knew everything about our situation and coldly and callously tossed out evidence that could have convicted a serial child predator. Now you know who you do business with if give your money to Extra Space Storage. This is NOT a company with any feelings toward humanity. Also, they were hit with a class action lawsuit in 2019 for "bait and switch" tactics. **WARNING! Do not trust this company.**

This is by far the best Extra Space Storage in Minnesota. Kitsha Fly is very helpful and knowledgeable about the whole storage process and does her job well. If you are looking to store your belongings in a great clean environment,this is the place!

This business was so nice and answered my question and helped us to our unit that was clean and easy to get to

They jack up rates every 3-4 months. Started at 46$ paid 4 months then after that 4th payment my new rate became 87$.

Approximately 7 years ago I moved to Florida.I put my 1980 450 SL Mercedes in their storage unit with other belongings.I found out that they entered my unit without my permission and took my car out of the unit.They left it in the Florida sun.It ruin the paint.Once I found out corporate told the manager for me to report it to my own insurance company.I did not want because my insurance would increase my rate.Anyway,I was leaving the country and had to go.Now after all these years and paying over $400 per month I went to see my car.The unit was full of rat $#*! and some brown stuff dropped on the car.I took the car out and had it washed.Then I saw the damage on the car that happen about seven years ago.I ended up moving my stuff out.I also contacted them and again know help.The company is based in Utah which means most likely only think of money.Do not rent from them.If you do will regret it.

I have four units with Extra Space Storage on ******* Telge Road, Cypress, TX ******* and has been at this unit for a few years before Extra Space but them out (two-three months). Since they have been bought out the price of my units have almost doubled! And on top of that My RV, less that four-year-old unit has been hit. They say they have looked at the cameras on the row and have not, I repeat- NOT been able to locate who hit it. It was hit so hard it darn near knocked it off the stand. I guess this is how you treat your long time customer. None the less since I have paid for this month I will leave my units there x4 but you best bet they will not get another dime from me! Let me ask, did you bother to see who was parked by me prior to see when they moved out and look at the cameras around that time. Since they have taken over, many folks have left the facility. I am sure they will not be at that location long with the rates and unsupporting the clients. Lets see if the COO responds to this email.

They raise the rate when ever they want. In the course of two years it has more than doubled. They will not tell what it will be in the future so I assume they will continue to raise it until it is even more intolerable. Finally I'm moving out.They know how difficult and inconvenient it is to just move out so this is their business model. It's a SCAM.
