I rented a unit, never used it, cancelled it. Continued to get billed for it. Sent a foreclosure on the unit Jose was told never had anything in it (recorded call due to harassment). What would have been a 25.00 payment, turned Into nearly $300.00 for a unit that was not used once and cancelled. Unethical, fraud.
Do not rent from this company unless it is short term. There is no zero customer loyalty. Once again, ANOTHER rate increase of $60 a month, absolutely unbelievable! I am in another state due to my father having a heart attack so moving now isn't even a possibility. So much for compassion during difficult times. They don't seem to care about customers or employees. What a shame!
The staff is great with the exception of the one mishap that you will read. My first day here I literally want to pack up my stuff and leave already. A combination of reasons not only the facility issues that I thought was odd like one I have to enter a code every time I use the elevator which is ridiculous when you are paying mover by the hour to move your stuff in and they have to enter a 6 digit code every time we are trying to use the elevator. Second there is not a wash room that you can use, it's in the office and only available during office hours. I had been here since 6:30am and had to use the bathroom for the last hour was told that bc of the covid 19 the office is on lock down I get it so what am I supposed to do I'm from out of town and know no one here. So this has been the most frustrating day ever. I asked the lady if I was supposed to leave my $#*! in the middle of the road and pack the moving truck up to go hunt for a restroom and she asked me why I was talking to her that way. Are you $#*!ing kidding me? You don't understand that I'm frustrated, I'm moving to a new city, during a very awkward time everything is closed down and I have to use the $#*!ing bathroom.
Updated: The staff is great here, I spoke with the lady that I cursed at and apologized to her, and explained what was going on. I was having a really $#*! day, still think that having to enter a code every time you use the elevator to go up is a bit irritating.
This is the worst storage unit facility I have ever been to In My Life ordered my unit online with chili come at a discount in a free month rent the next month it came due Albertsons buys out supposed to pay $170 when I disputed it the office manager advise me that she would call and get back to me that was three days so I called the fourth day and was told Again by another worker that she get back to me before 1 and still told that I'm going to have to pay $170 because I'm late when I explained that your manager and you never got back with me so you increase the rent rate on the unit by delaying me I would tell anybody do not rent a space from these people their shysters
We have storage at 1200 Legion NE Albuquerque, NM. There is often nobody on duty here despite claims of this being a secure location.
Our trailer was broken into and burglarized and there was no employee to be found anywhere. Called corporate who said they would contact the manager. I observed a homeless *** living inside the security fence on the property. As there was nobody to contact locally the *** is still on the property.
Contacted the police who suggested I file a report and I did. I have noted many times that there is nobody around who works for Extra Space and on Sunday the place is wide open. Evidently the security cameras are useless.
Unsecured property and the customer service has been non-existent. I have attached photos of the house that the homeless individual built on Extra Space property,.
The worst customer service i ever experienced her in Extra Space storage in Panorama City, CA. Her name is Melissa and she is claiming that she is the supervisor... she is screaming over the phone... and i asked her if that's a good customer service and she responded with YES, because i was questioning the late fee charge. They're charging 85$+ 15$ additional? Even customer was late on the payment it's the right to question the late fee that there was charging... then can explain in a very good way... not scream with the customer... i worked as a cs and i never treated customer the way that Melissa treated me...

I would highly recommend staying away from this company. I had a disturbing experience with their Plymouth Meeting Location. They are an inflexible and insensitive company with little regard for their customers. The only thing they seem to care about is collecting money. There are better storage facilities out there that will offer you much better customer service.
