You can absolutely not talk to or even live chat to anyone to make changes, alter your reservations, or ask a question... all the phone numbers provided will absolutely lead to a dead end... you have a better chance of winning a lottery than talking to a live person at expedia... the worst and most frustrating customer service i have ever had for any business in any category
8 hours and 3 minutes on hold with Expedia before their line went dead.
2 hours and 12 minutes on July 16 before the same thing happened.
1 hour and 11 minutes on July 15 before the same thing happened.
The call back feature doesn't work.

We booked our dream retirement trip through Expedia. It was canceled due to Covid. We received flight vouchers on AeroMexico and were told by Expedia we had until May 31,2020 to book and Nov 30,2020 to travel (see attachment). We asked Expedia to send AeroMexico a request for travel extension due to Covid. They said they did, but AeroMexico has no record of this. We then tried calling Expedia's Customer Service to rebook our flights starting in early April. We weren't able to get through until late April after waiting on hold for 14 hours! Expedia then told us that AeroMexico had gone bankrupt and there was nothing they could do. After talking to AeroMexico, we called Expedia back in early May to tell them they had given us incorrect information because it had not gone bankrupt AND we had only had until April 30th to rebook NOT May 31st. Ao, by this time, the tickets had expired. We called Expedia numerous times over the next month, waited on hold more than 50 hours, talked to Supervisors, and were told Expedia had made a mistake and would honour our tickets but would have to submit a claim to Expedia Customer Service. We did that and received an email telling us that the tickets were expired and there was nothing they could do! We are now pursuing a legal route.
Don't use this app they stolen money also customer service is worst. We cancel our booking but they charg extra.
Worst experiance ever. Used to be good company. Changed my flight without checking with me. As result i was not able to change hotel through expedia. This will be last time i'm using them
We rented a car through EXPEDIA in Cranbrook, went to pickup car they told us at,"Enterprise, they didn't cars available past few days.
Now trying to get our money back from Expedia was like pulling hens teeth, still don't have money back 2 weeks so far. EXPEDIA IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH IN YEARS.
Was on hold over 8 hours trying to change my dates for a vacation. You have to go through expedia and not the direct airline, after being on hold for 3 hours the agent hung up on me. Then after another 3 hours I finally got through where the agent put me on hold for another 3 hours to contact Westjet. This process is insane.
If you are tired of being hung out to dry by online agencies when things go wrong, Expedia is the agency for you.
I have dealt with agencies like Priceline in the past and found myself in a shoe-box of a room in Rome that was far from what I was promised with no help from that agency. On the other hand, I booked through Expedia a few years ago and had a similar experience with a European hotel. One call to Expedia and they not only rectified the situation but refunded my total hotel cost as a good will gesture.
Yesterday, I had to cancel a hotel booking I made in Mexico through Expedia. To my delight, my payment was credited to my credit card in less than 24 hours.
This company clearly puts it's customers first! It is my go-to online agency.
I've tryed to get an answer from them for over a year to obtain a credit on my plane ticket for my flight that was canceled by a travel ban and they never contacted me back after multiple emails and calls. I only gave 1 star because it is impossible to give less
Until the pandemic, Expedia was my #1 choice for anything travel-related, but not anymore!
A few months before the pandemic, I made a mistake of paying for a flight thru Expedia.ca instead of buying the ticket directly on the airline's website. The flight was eventually cancelled by the airline due to COVID-19 restrictions. Expedia declined to issue a refund citing that the airline 'didn't approve the refund'. The airline refused to help me citing that 'you should contact the place that sold you the ticket'. So, I ended up in a classic catch-22 trap.
Long story short: Expedia snatched my money for a service that was not provided and refused to return the money. In layman's terms this is fraud. Be smart with your money and avoid dishonest companies like Expedia!
Our first time using this type service, we booked a hotel with the agent but were not told they would charge our credit card within 24 hrs. They did so I phoned back explaining we were not informed of this and would like to cancel and get a full refund only to be told there was a $20 administration fee. Weren't told about that either... sigh.
After several back and forth emails we ended up getting the full refund so all in all we were treated fairly. So Please be aware that you will be paying for their service within 24 hrs. We found this unacceptable simply because we seldom/never use our credit card to purchase, it serves to "hold" said service till we pay via cash, debit etc UPON arrival. Buyer beware right, my beef remains the fact this (and the NON refundable "administration" fee) was never divulged during the phone conversation and the fact that our stay was 10 or so days away. So they take your money today even though you might be months away from the actual stay/flight etc. Sorry Expedia this is not how I do business. We will not be using them again.

Awful waiting time early April I was on the line the whole day no one answered, left a message for a return call and received a call back late evening.
I was told I would receive an email confirming my refund in a day or so. Over one week has gone by and nothing received.
They are raking in billions and when it comes to compassion to reimburse customers who could not travel due to covid-19 nothing has been done.
I received a single letter last year indicating we are doing our best to advocate for a reimbursement... sure sure, not a beep.
SHAME ON YOU EXPEDIA hotels.com, TRIVAGO, etc all the same bunch of crooks.
It took me hours just to get to the right persons ended up in Egypt Thailand USA and finally someone gave me the right number in Canada, when it should be clear on the itinerary where to call.
A bunch of crooks stay away deal directly with the airline and hotels.
All they need to do is a create a portal on their website like Air Canada did, where you provide your reservation and name and get your refund.
Instead they make you waste countless hours on the phone to frustrate you to give up

Never, Never request a call back when you phone Customer Service, we had a issue, waste of time waiting online so we requested a call back, HUGE mistake, on average it took 7 Plus hours, then we got a rep that could not speak very good English! We gave a credit, we were not able to have full credit amount applied plus on our trip receipt we did not receive a break down of the cost, requested 3 times, would not provide a break down! We have a "Gold" status, so what, doesn't mean anything! This will be our last review about Expedia as we will NEVER deal with them again!
Long wait time ~ on a lucky day, maybe 2 hrs to speak to a real person. Do they only have one agent answering all the calls?
Horrible refund process- bought air Canada vacation package before COVID and got cancelled. Said it will be credit to my account - every time I call, get a different answer. Then Aircanada got the government support and they will refund everyone now, guess what, waited 3 hrs on the phone and the agent told me they don't have any communications from Air Canada right now so can't do anything! Even though it's black and white on Aircanada's website! They just refuse to do anything for client!
Purposely create barrier for users to find answers or solve issues - if you ever tried to click on customer support page like me, you will be surprised all the options they gave you, no matter what options you chose, either lead to an old useless generic "help" article or a phone number that you will have to wait at least 2 hrs. No emails, no real person online chat, nothing!
If I am ever so lucky to get my money back for the silly vacation I booked, I swear I will never ever use Expedia again!
Refusing to issue a refund for travel cancelled by the airline. Over 2h on hold and counting to speak to their billing team. Airline says it's 100% Expedia's decision to hold or refund ticket charges.
I'm trying to reach customer support for 3 days to fix the issue the agent who booked my flight ticket committed. But, I could not reach them even after 2 hr of waiting for each call. I almost make 8 calls like that.

I have left message after message looking for someone to get back to me about my
Family and I flights booked but cancelled because of covid. My flights are with air Canada and I am looking for a refund but they are ignoring me. Never again will I book anything with Expedia.
Booked a flight for last June 1st from Montreal-Vancouver. Was moving cross the country. On May 29th the Moving Company calls me and says that they have to postpone by one day for some unforeseen reasons. Fine, I call Expedia to change the flight to June 2nd. Call Expedia to postpone the flight by one day. Expedia Rep tells me not a problem at all. I show up for a 6PM flight, now remember I have surrendered my keys to my apartment and am leaving Montreal. Get in line an hour early at the Air Canada Check-In counter. After 10 minutes I get to the counter. Give the Rep my name and ID. She tells me that we don't have you on any flight. Only that your flight was cancelled the previous day, but nothing was re-booked. Get on the phone with Expedia, right there at the counter, and the Rep tells me that they made a mistake and didn't confirm the booking. In other words, the Moron Expedia Rep did not hit the enter sign on her keyboard. Rep tells me that there is nothing she can do except book on tomorrow's same flight at 6PM. She sends the Confirmation through to Air Canada for the next evening's flight. I spent overnight in the Airport in the middle of Covid with no places open to eat. Tried to sleep on a bench as if I was a homeless person. Called Expedia once I was in Vancouver for some type of recompense. I mean they did screw up so badly that it boggles the mind. A Supervisor comes on the line and she starts arguing with me. Finally she gives in and offers me a $200. Hotel Voucher in the middle of Covid. Something they know will just expire. I lost it totally and hung up. Stay the hell away from the most incompetent Travel Company ever who won't even take responsibility for their own incompetence.
On peut changer nos billets suite a l'annulation du voyage du a la fermeture des frontières ( covid 19), mais moyennant une surcharge de 5000$ de plus! Oui oui vous avez bien lu, mais il est possible de se racheter de nouveaux billets pour 2600$ sur le site. Amèrement déçu de leur service d'annulation aucune logique humaine c'est le système qui nous donne ça qu'il nous dise! Une chance que les tribunaux existe!
Called a few times and after staying on hold the customer service reps PRETEND they can not hear you... They repeat few times that they can not hear you and hang up... Disgusting! Expedia must be outsourcing the business to a third world county... I will no longer use the platform... Extremely disappointed!

Answer: Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it now if you have given them your credit card. Just don't ever use them again
