Was charged extra EUR 83 by Hertz in Luxemburg compared to Expedia price with fees and taxes all included. Keep rejecting the fault on Hertz back and forth, seller can charge extra fees/taxes blablabla... Got to hold to your deal guys, don't care who's at fault! At the end of the day, refused to give me any kind of compensation or hold for their imputability on the matter...
Hopefully, my CC provider will correct the situation created by those crooks.
We used Expedia to rent a car using the SIXT car rental company. I had never rented with SIXT before, but since it was offered by Expedia I expected they would be legit. I was wrong. When we arrived at the SIXT counter in Nashville, they had no more SUVs available, despite that being what we had booked. After waiting over an hour, the SIXT agent recommended that we book with the Alamo counter next door, and he made a note in our file that we should be refunded. But Expedia has refused to refund us! They also refuse to talk on the phone. Email or chat only. Terrible customer service. They charged us for a rental that they were unable to deliver. They basically stole our money. STAY AWAY.
Looking for a motel and found one for $167 plus tax. Booked it and when I finished after putting my account in it came up to $197.65 plus $31.15 tax minus $31.34 I had in points. I chatted with someone and they said the $167 was with my points yet the difference was $27.65 and my points $31.34. Then they said it can have a price change until the end. So they can advertise $167 then at the end change it to $197.65. Is that not false advertising?

Booked a ticket through expedia for Caribbean airlines. According to Expedia their system had a "glitched" and according to them the ticked showed up as confirm to the customer but was declined by the airline because their system wasn't updated. Their only advise was for me to rebook a ticket which is $600 more expensive. DO NOT BOOK WITH expedia, they WILL WASTE YOUR TIME and let you miss Important flights.
We booked a flight for $2000CAD on Expedia.ca, but they charged us $2000USD. When we contacted them, they refused to rectify their error. We will not use them again as they are dishonest. We are out $700 as a result.
After calling 8 times and trying to change a flight that airline changed on me we got no where. I have to lose over $1000 to cover an extra vaca for me and my husband because they didnt change my flight back to the original i paid for. Eventhough i did not request this change. After being on the phone for a whole afternoon, they gave me a $50 credit for $3000 worth of flights. Do not buy flights from them they have no control over anything

We booked flights through expedia and went on our trip. On our return we find out at the airport that the airline expedia booked no longer provides the flight. We booked in September and airline canceled all flights in December. We traveled in July and NEVER did expedia tell us our flight was canceled. We ended up having to book another last minute flight at a much higher rate and pay for an extra night at hotel. These agents are a JOKE! Not one trip we booked through them has gone smoothly. We are officially never using them again!
It'll probably take a year to resolve this with them...
Last month booked a car rental through Expedia and added collision protection too. When I went to LA Thrifty car rental at the airport to pick up the car, (waited 3 hours in line to get the vehicle- I didn't get the SUV that I booked) they have increased the Expedia quoted rental price and asked me to take additional collision protection through Thrifty and said Expedia's collision protection is not valid. Expedia already charged my credit card for the collision protection. Now I am after Expedia to get a refund for the collision protection coverage.
Booked through expedia where they claim to give the best prices, but when got a hotel receipt showing $68 USD today I say how much they are abusing things by buying bulk as they upsold me to $87 USD on their site.

I wish I could give Expedia ZERO stars. Worst experience ever dealing with any company. We booked a vacation package and after our initial flight there was cancelled, Expedia did not rebook an alternative flight correctly. We showed up to the airport (for the second time in 24 hours) and could not get tickets issued properly. Expedia refused to get us another flight the same day, offering an alternative for another day which would take about 2 days and get us to our vacation with only a day left in our stay. When we tried to get a refund they would only refund us the flight that was cancelled. We spent what should have been our first vacation in 4 years arguing with different agents, getting contradictory information and outright lies. In the end they have refused to refund us both the hotel stay as well as the return flight home. Absolutely a travesty of a company. BEWARE and stay away!

I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with Routes Car Rental and Expedia that I feel compelled to share. My interaction with Routes Car Rental started with the disappointment of not being able to pick up the car I had reserved. Despite confirming my reservation and calling ahead, they failed to have the vehicle available for me at the airport as promised.
Not only did I waste precious time waiting for a car that never arrived, but Routes Car Rental's customer service was utterly disappointing. They seemed indifferent to my predicament and refused to provide any assistance or compensation for the inconvenience caused. Their lack of accountability and unwillingness to rectify the situation left me feeling incredibly frustrated and dissatisfied.
To make matters worse, my experience with Expedia, the platform through which I made the reservation, was equally underwhelming. Despite being the intermediary between the customer and the rental company, Expedia did nothing to mitigate the situation. They offered no support or alternative solutions, leaving me stranded and without transportation.
As a customer, I expected better service and accountability from both Routes Car Rental and Expedia. It is disheartening to encounter such a lack of professionalism and customer care. I strongly advise anyone considering renting a car through Routes Car Rental or making reservations via Expedia to think twice and explore alternative options.
I hope that by sharing my negative experience, other potential customers can be informed and avoid the frustration and disappointment that I endured. It is essential for companies like Routes Car Rental and Expedia to realize the impact of their actions on customers and take steps to improve their services and customer support.
Expedia overcharged us. When talking on the phone, I said that is a lot of money. He said it was the fees and taxes. They won't refund me.

Just wasted 3.5 hours. I needed to change a flight time, and couldn't. When I contacted them through online chat, Expedia told me the flight was nonchangeable, and said that I missed it during booking. Fine, maybe I did - but when I went to check the Fare Rules applying to that leg of my itinerary, they were simply not available. Fare Rules for one leg with one airline were there, but not the second with another airline. When I pointed this out, and said I suspected that Fare Rules weren't shown when I booked it either, they verbally shrugged and said repeatedly "do you have a screenshot to prove it?" Well, no - but I can prove it's not available to me *now*. However, that meant nothing to them. After three hours, I requested escalation to supervisor. (I had to explain what I meant by 'please escalate'.) The supervisor also showed zero interest in either correcting an obvious problem with their booking system, or negotiating a reasonable solution to a customer problem. Avoid.
I paid ~800 CAD + CANCELATION INSURANCE for a round-trip which had to cancel due to a sudden COVID-19 outbreak AND wildfire. Have been trying to use my OWN money that is hold by Expedia as "Coupon"! NO LUCK! They are keep changing their policy with NO NOTICE and now charging me more than double the amount that they have on their OWN website for a Toronto to New York Flight + fees. Meaning that I will pay ~700 CAD for a ONE WAY trip to NYC, have to pay 72 CAD on TOP of my departure credit and LOSE all my return credit (worth ~240 CAD)! Tell me if this is not robbery! DON'T MAKE MY MISTAKE! DON'T TRUST THEM!
Absolutely worthless website. Inept customer service and when I needed to rebook a 100% refundable trip I was unable to do so. I'm out over $6,000 and can not warn enough people away from these grifters.

Answer: Unfortunately there's not much you can do about it now if you have given them your credit card. Just don't ever use them again
