They're Thieves!
November 20, 2021

I was a reoccurring customer, they recycle their recipes so skip a lot of weeks but one of my deliveries never arrived because the box was damaged. Every Plate claimed they refunded my money but I had to wait like 3-4 weeks to see it show up in my bank. Guess what, never did! Contacted them, told them this. Waited another 1-2 weeks because the 1st agent lied to me said they'd reissue if I proved I never received it, then call again for another agent to tell me can't do nothing call your bank, my bank never received a refund to process! Now they're ignoring me! I'm contacting BBB & I'm going to do everything I can to make sure people know what kind of crooks this company is!

Double billing banditos
November 20, 2021

The recipes from every plate are excellent and the food quality is fair. I'm a long term customer and have used their service since the start of the pandemic. My wife is immunocompromised so this is a great choice to minimize time in grocery stores.

However, they have had significant billing issues a lack of customer service.
I have been double billed for my last two weeks of orders & this isn't the first or only time. They eventually resolve the issue, but it can take weeks. Meanwhile they have taken or tied-up hundreds of dollars that could be used elsewhere.

Looking at other plans. Even if they are 'more expensive' it'll be worth it if they don't double-bill

I wouldn't order again…
November 19, 2021

We ordered 3 meals for 3 weeks. Out of of all 3 weeks at least one ingredient would be missing from a meal-the last week we had 2 missing from a meal. The most recent was cheese and mushrooms from a pasta dish.
I wouldn't order from them again-there's lots of meal prep companies out there. Choose a different one if you don't want to be running to the store to supply your "fully supplied meal". I went online to the chat and when I told the rep what happened they left me on read ‍

No quality control
August 23, 2021

I ordered our first box of 4 meals for two people that was to arrive Aug. 9 but arrived Aug. 8 instead. There was no notification it would arrive early and the FedEx driver never knocked or rang the bell, so the box wasn't discovered for 24 hrs. It sat outside half of one day, overnight, and half of the next day in a heat index of 114 degrees.

When I opened the food package there was no ice pack(s), only the insulated liner. The root vegetables were fine, but the ground beef and ground pork were gray-brown, half cooked. The chicken and salmon I'd ordered were missing from the box, so instead of 4 days of meals there were only 2, now inedible.

I cancelled my subscription, telling the operator why, and was given a refund. By the time my VISA bill arrived there was the initial charge, the refund, plus a new charge listed. There was no mention of an additional charge during that conversation because the operator knew I hadn't received half of the order.

I called EveryPlate again and was told the new charge was for the premium meal (salmon) I'd ordered... the salmon that apparently eloped with the chicken tenders instead of getting into the box.

The operator for this latest call was extremely rude as I was trying to explain the situation. I didn't know I had an inner Karen, she never came out in public till today when I finally raised my voice and told her to listen to what I was saying and not keep telling me I had a premium meal I needed to pay for. I shouldn't have to pay for something I never received. She listened, then said something I couldn't make out, and suddenly I was on terminal hold.

So here I am with my complaint. I feel no inclination to ever use or recommend their service or those under the other names they use (HelloFresh, etc.).

P.S.--Did some closer inspection of their recipes and discovered that many of their meals have a very high percentage of salt listed on the nutrition sheets. Not healthy!

P. P.S.--Try and unsubscribe from their email, it's impossible, their email just keeps coming no matter how many times you tell them you want to unsubscribe from all of their variety of emails.

Buyers beware
June 14, 2021

I received a free month of 3 meals a week offer through a friend. I contacted their customer service to be clear that this a free offer for the first month and I will not be charged if I deactivated my account at the end of the trail period. At the end of the free offer, I deactivated my account. I noticed a $38.93 charge on my credit card twice. I contacted Every Plate and spoke with their customer service agent. I was told I was not getting a free offer, just a discount on the meals, plus, because I chose some premium recipes, the discount did not applied. He also stated he has no way of knowing what another agent said to me and cannot help me with those charges. When asked about the charge after I deactivated my account, he agreed to reverse that charge. Beware and make sure you check your credit card account to make sure you're not being charged even after you deactivated your account. Also, make sure they document your account so there won't be the headache of a bait and switch to your plan. Needless to say, I will definitely not recommend Every Plate to anyone considering it. Their meal plans are not as reasonably priced as they make it out to be, and their portion size are quite small.

Do not waste your time or money with EveryPlate. Use HelloFresh or HomeChef. With my first EveryPlate delivery half of veggies were mushy upon delivery. Had to throw out the potatoes and tomatoes. Tried a second delivery. Still received rotten veggies and received wrong meat for one recipe; received ground beef instead of ground pork for pork and poblano tacos. Poblano pepper was not useable anyway. Called EveryPlate. They didn't care one bit. No replacements will be shipped. No refund offered. Cancelled my subscription. This company is owned by HelloFresh. HelloFresh must put their unused veggies and leftovers in the EveryPlate shipments. Use HomeChef.
