Very disappointed
April 3, 2020

Very disappointed. We bought tickets to a club in Miami, which was supposed to host YoGotti. We paid around $60 per person and YoGotti didn't perform all night. When asking for a refund from the organisator, we didn't receive an answer. So we contacted Eventbrite to get a refund from the organisator thorugh them. They have never responded (the event was beginning of March). That is very bad customer service. I would not book through them again.

I have gotten tickets to 2 Eventbrite webinars, and wasn't able to get into either one of them. I will never waste my time again on this absolutely worthless program. The instructions are horrible, as well!

Bad Business!
March 15, 2020

Unfortunately this is the second time I have dealt with this business. First it was the 2020 New Years party. Very unorganized, lack of communication and the event was absolutely boring. Second event, St Patrick party bus savannah ga 2020. Trip canceled because of the corona virus. No money back and party postponed until 2021. Very unprofessional when I spoke to the event planner Mike and had a very unprofessional text message argument via text with him. It wasn't until I threatened to call my lawyer, when he called me back to apologize. Gave me a sob story as to why he was unable to refund my money. His personal issues are not my problem. Will never do business with them again. Gave them a second chance. Not a third!

Eventbrite essentially stole over 55$ from me for 2 tickets I purchased through their website. Little did I know that I would be notified a day later that the event was cancelled due to the Corona Virus scare. They won't refund my money and I have wasted a ridiculous amount of time trying to contact customer support about this issue. And won't even let me send the necessary request for refund to customer service.

Requested a refund for a bar crawl tomorrow because you know... Coronavirus... that one thing that cause a "state of emergency" and cancellation of "unnecessary mass gatherings". I think this falls under that category. Well while other sporting events (yes major money making sporting events and not a dumb $#*! bar crawl) are refunding ticket purchasers, eventbrite has decided to let the bar crawl go on. Cause the world would obviously end if we didn't black out on St. Patrick's day every year. Long story short, bought tickets for me and my fiancé before this virus started to become a problem and now I want a refund because my fiancé is diabetic and needs to take this more seriously than most others in their mid 20s. We also live together so if I get it, she's getting it too. Explained everything to the worst customer service department on earth and they won't give me my money back. Seems like a simple common sense thing to do in a time like this but this place doesn't seem to have much of that.

Difficult to use
February 27, 2020

This website is difficult to use on the business's side of ticket sales as well as the consumer's side. There is no shopping cart option so guests cannot sign up for multiple events at once which causes many guests to sign up for less. They also have no rhyme or reason to when they send checks (even if we have reoccurring checks). There is no way to edit multiple events at once or even see them in a calendar format. They updated and now the old events and the new events aren't compatible. Trying to find a way to leave eventbrite.

Terrible.
February 21, 2020

Never used this site before and gave it a try. I purchased tickets to go see a band and accidentally purchased the wrong ones. The website changed the event i wanted to go to people I never heard of. I called them to get a refund within minutes of purchasing and they told me i couldn't get a refund. It's BULL$#*!. Terrible policy for something accidental. Never will use this site again. Ticketmaster is the way to go and reliable.

I ordered concert tickets from them and realized a week from the concert I hadn't been emailed my tickets. The service started out great. "Tell us the date of purchase, the email address, and the transaction number of your credit card". I provided it immediately. A week went by and I followed up regularly the concert passed without a response. After the concert I got an email from support asking if my case was resolved to my satisfaction! I said no, please refund my purchase. They refused so I disputed the purchase with my credit card company. They reported to the credit card company that they had in fact resent my tickets which was an outright lie. In the end I lost $80. Not the biggest loss in the world but the entire ordeal left me speechless. I couldn't believe just how They handled my service request and lied in the end. It could have been easily resolved. Now I see based on these reviews others have the same experience. Needless to say I'll never use Eventbrite again.

This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. They changed the date of an event for tickets that I had already purchased. I couldn't attend during the new date. They claimed a full refund would be given within 7 days... it's been 2 months and will NOT respond to any correspondence. 0 customer service. PATHETIC. Will never purchase tickets for any future events they are advertising and strongly suggest you save yourself the hassle. Your money would be better used to wipe yours $#*! than to "donate" it to this business who's stealing it and using it for god knows what

My girlfriend purchased two tickets for the Black Out Gold In Masquerade Gala that was going to be held at the Willis Tower, 2323 South Wacker Dr., Chicago, on Nov. 29,2019 (see photo of tickets). One day before the event the address was changed to 2105 W. Division Ave, Chicago. A place, west of the city, in an old building that was up-for-sale where you would NEVER have paid over $109 for this event! No doubt, the reason why they waited until the night before to change the address knowing how hard it would be to refund your tickets!
I contacted Eventbrite using their corporate number provided. They DO NOT ALLOW YOU the option to speak with anyone, just provide a web address, in which to contact them about any tickets issues you might have need to discuss. I left numerous messages, but this "$#*!" company NEVER bothered to reply back to ANY of them to issue a refund. I then called American Express, which initially refunded the cost and opened up a dispute. Here is where the "SCAM" is between Eventbrite and the people / companies they deal with.
Eventbrite "markets and sells the tickets" for folks /company putting on the event. They told AE they take ABSOLUTELY NO RESPONIBILTY if the event turns out to be a SCAM. NONE! Eventbrite will NOT even provide you with information on how to contact the establishment putting on the event, so you have NO WAY to get in touch with them to try and have them issue a refund.
I will be doing everything possible to let the public know this is what can happen if they purchase tickets from this corrupt company! They could probably not even put on the event and you would NEVER be able to get your money back.
John

It can be a fake event, or a bogus event. They do not care. If you report the organizer they come back saying it's not their issue and the organizer keeps on posting events. Beware of what you get from them.

Lack of Support
November 29, 2019

Eventbright provides very limited or no support. The service can be fee or low cost but they seem to make it up when you can't get your money from your event. They also never answer the phone.

As I am reading all these comments, most make no sense as Event Brite has no control over the EVENT that is created by using the website as most of these should be directed at the coordinator of the event itself. EVENT BRITE is only a promotion tool for the actual event they are not the coordinator or the company that keeps the $. If you are buying tickets from this web site the money is transferred to the event coordinator, the event coordinator is the one that defines if the consumer pays the fees associated or if the fee will be a part of the cost of the ticket. The coordinator of the event also dictates if refund will be allowed. I would assume many things come into play when and if refunds will be allowed as many things are nonrefundable to the event coordinator and have to paid on the event side come rain or shine. I think most of these comments are because a customer of an event does not understand how or what Event Brite is or does and does not do. A little education goes along way, you have to be able to look at both sides when you choose to have an opinion. Most of these comments should be directed at the coordinator of the event or company in charge of the event not the web page that is the go between.

I bought tickets for a show in Vancouver online. My boss called and told me that I had to come to work the next day so I had to cancel the tickets I just bought. I did what I was told to do to receive a refund only to get an email after the show was over saying that my refund was declined and the reason they gave was "no refund!" And now I can't get ahold of anyone. Don't buy or get anything through these Eventbrite!

THIEVES!
November 23, 2019

THIEVES! DO NOT by any tickets or anything else associated with this business! They will not refund any money no matter the circumstances. They even screw the promoters that hired them. Federal charges should be filed against this business and the people behind this thieving scam!

I made multiple attempts to reach these people before our event last weekend through email, (3 times to be exact)- looked up their number in California and the voice mail said everytime that "we are in a meetin." Poor customer service. Would never recommend them. The event was suppose to cost $25 a ticket. I collected that amount from every person (all 30) and then went to pay on line and they charged me an extra "$184.00" extra for "fees"? Junk fees. Ripped off. Use someone else-

EFF EVENTBRITE
November 9, 2019

This app blows and they got me hot asf in reality. I ordered my ticket to a ski mask concert the day they went on sale, 3 months before the concert was set to take place. I received an email today saying that they are cancelling my order under suspicion of reselling? I have wanted to see ski mask since he canceled his last show in my city last year, and these imbeciles are making me spend an extra 40 bucks to get another ticket because of how much later it is. I for sure will not be using this trash site again and i personally recommend seat geek or something because eventbrite is not it at ALL.

Sending out a WARNING to new eventbrite users: Be very carefully about which package you choose when you start using eventbrite. In good faith I set up a collection for a friend's wedding present and totally thought I had chosen the cheapest package as it was a low key affair. I wanted to use eventbrite because people can pay in different ways, the funds are secure, anyone donating would receive a nice confirmation etc. However, once the first tickets sold I realised that the fees were substantially higher then expected. I inquired with Eventbrite but it took them a good week to reply. By then it was too late to make any changes. I was told that I was on a middle sized package and not the cheapest option. I am still not aware where in the start I had the options to choose which package. I was under the impression I had chosen the most basic package. In effect from an event which raised £1820.-- Eventbrite charges came to £153.76 which translate to 8.45 %. I am extremely embarrassed to tell the donators plus the receiving newly married couple about the high fee - which could have been avoided if the set -up process was clearer. I personally find that I was misled by the information available and I am extremely disappointed. So, please - be extra careful when using eventbrite and be clear what the charges actually are.
