Etsy held my payments for four days. They kept telling me they were looking into it. Nothing happened. False promises, inaccurate information, no movement. I was a customer for five years with a few problems during that time. This is the straw that broke the camel's back. No longer will be a customer of theirs.

I put alot of work into designing my products to only have my account deactivated without notice or an email to explain what the problem or issue is. I tried to do everything right but am at a loss. Have tried to contact and email them but to no avail. Don't waste your time with Etsy.

I had to call them 3 times to have something rectified and its not rectified yet. And specially the person who spoke with me didn't care at all. She barely spoke. I was very patient every time I speak with them but seems like they have ABSOLUTELY NO RESPECT AT ALL to sellers. I would give less than a star if I can

I don't recommend buying and selling on etsy!

I made sales, sold about 30 products, my profile was deleted, but the money was not returned, I do not answer letters!
If you come across this, just post a link to the help blog and you won't find more than one contact information there!
I would give -5 stars but not zero!

Changed my view of etsy to +++

I am now very picky about the etsy vendors I deal with. I have bought several things recently: mostly jewelry and face masks. The quality is very good to outstanding.
I check and will not deal with anyone who can't show they are a real maker -- not a Chinese goods importer. I rely heavily on reviews that give details (don't just say things like "Thanks. This is great.". I got a high-quality retro necklace from Israel and a pendant that is unlike any I have seen before, from Russia. I've ordered other things and am very saisfied. The fabric sling bag I ordered is strong and amazingly soft for strong fabric. Inside pockets that you don't usually get for the price. There is even a cell phone holder on the outside. The design is unique and I like it very much.

After ordering several different items through etsy.com I will not order any more. I did buy some really interesting jewelry from the artist who made them. However, you have to be careful about who you buy from. I found that too many items come from China but are advertised as "craft" or even "handmade". More than disappointing. I ordered a return address rubber stamp. I liked the design and it sounded like it was actually made by a real person, a designer. It arrived lacking a significant piece of information I had requested. Then they wanted to charge me more to fix their error. The 3 lousy letters were added but they look terrible. I would never pay 1/2 of what I did knowing that I was getting a stamp from a template churned out in China and emailed to the company. Very disappointing. I no longer have etsy.com on my ipad because of that and other similar flubs.

Last straw!

I am fed up with any lack of support from your company which has seemed to flag my account for fraud and is unable to admit it - I am done - I have probably spent about 3k in just a little over a year and have never had a problem until my last four orders - I am sick of no answers and I am sick of your inability to support my requests for an answer or any help in resolving my issues - I will do the same thing that I did with you what I did with adoreme when this happened during the holidays last year - I will close my account and never shop your site again! I am done - and with no way to contact you except chat with no results over two days and four sessions except for the same request for information I have given in the previous chats- which proves nothing if my account has been breached - in fact I have turned on 2fa - re-validated my phone number via text and changed my password. Yet Etsy continues to think my account is fraud - I even add a new credit card to complete some holiday shopping in my name and the finally processed that order - I buy usually with the same vendors I have found and previously bought from and have not changed my shipping address - which by the way quite a few orders have shipped to over the last year - due to packages being stolen from from my home - just like most other people - I had to get a ups store mailbox - the lack of frankness from your company and it hiding behind no contact except chat is ludicrous and there has not been a single purchase from the past year which has not been paid - there have been no complaints from the account holder which is me - so i am in awe of the ability for a company to continue to hide behind no information when directly asked - all they have to do is say the word fraud and then you can do nothing

Saw their commercial of the nice young couple attending an expanded family gathering to receive Etsy gifts and nary a mask. How sweet! Why are they promoting that people get together for the holidays? Is 170,000 new infections a day not enough for them? Their profits are clearly more important to them than the survival of their customers. Is this a sustainable business model? Nice ethics.

Terrible support for the seller. It's a disaster. Anyone can purchase something through a seller. State that it's not as described or broken. Retrun any piece of junk or even a n empty box. Request their money be refunded. Afetr tracking shows it's been delivered Etsy will refund the money

I have to say that Etsy almost has most of the wanted things to buy from furniture to cooking to clothing to footwears to personal things as well. You can also be selling and earning your sales which is also pretty cool.

I bought many great items on Etsy for the past year or so until recently. I purchased a tiny little Sapphire ring from a seller in Great Neck New York. Nabati Jewelry. Nathan Nabat. I returned the ring and asked for a refund. The ring was suitable for a child not an adult. Nathan said he would give me a refund to my credit card. After a week no refund and no ring. I am out $2000. I called and emailed Etsy with no response. Then they told me they sided with the seller. I could not open a case or leave a review. A totally dishonest seller who cheated me? Anyway, today I filed a police report because this nasty seller keeps calling me at all hours and yells profanity. Luckily the police do take this behavior very seriously. In any case, I guess harassment is acceptable behavior for Etsy sellers. Yet on their site they clearly state that they do not tolerate harassment. Right. So now I am considering suing both this seller and Etsy for failing to protect customers from dangerous people. May not be worth my time, money and trouble. We will see. Please be very careful of this seller--he is not stable. I am waiting to receive all the orders I placed on Etsy and than I will close my account. It is not worth all this harassment to buy on Etsy. Buyer beware.

Thousands of Chinese manufacturers…
Thousands of Chinese manufacturers allowed to sell prohibited items?!?!?! I list a grinder and get reprimanded - suspended with one sale?! Total discrimination on ETSY. They allow huge sellers/manufacturers to sell every type of drug paraphernalia you could imaging. Thousands of pages, some of these sellers have thousands of sales each - but Etsy allows them because of the $$$$ they make from them. Always screwing the small home-based business - that is the ETSY way.

After purchasing tons of items through Etsy for years, I have come across my first issue and unfortunately it's a big one, hence the 2 stars despite my otherwise good history with the company. I purchased custom wood shelves costing nearly $200. I was aware of the long wait as they were custom. While waiting I noticed the shop changed their name to Closed and the description of their store changed to "store permanently closed". After receiving no response from the store, I contacted Etsy customer service for assistance with getting a refund. They refused to open a case to even look at this until December 16 (the date the expected ship by was). They even tried to tell me the store was still open. I asked them to change the date I could open a case because of the clear fact the store shut down and the multiple reviews on the store page indicated I was not the only one who had my money taken and then received no response after the store closed. Customer support told me there was no way to open a case sooner and suggested I try to email the store. I already have with NO response! I am not the only one screwed out of a lot of money by this store and Etsy is turning a blind eye. Unacceptable customer support. Don't spend a lot of money here, not worth the risk or the hassle.

My product did not arrive. Etsy reported I should contact the seller and directed me to a page stating I've not had contact (even though there have been a few messages)
Etsy does NOT HAVE a customer service phone number and does NOT HAVE an email that is answered!

Buyer and Seller

As a buyer I have had mostly positive experiences. Each seller is different and you have to read thier rules carefully. As seller I found the fees difficult to understand. Being able to reach so many people and thier products and have so many people see mine is a great experience. I was happy with the traffic to my Etsy store.

I had my store on Etsy for many years, my store was 5 stars. Many times I had difficult time with them. It's no phone number to contact with them, and it's always take many days for them to reply on your emails. One time they change some settings, and I can't take my 4K for around 3 month. They just stop transfer money to my account. And when I email them, they promise me each time then money will came this week, then next week. And next week. Not easy place to work.
Now they just close 2 of my stores. I miss their email, and they close my stores, bouts. One store not had any problems at all. I don't understand why they suspend it. And I don't understand why they can't communicate with sellers on Etsy website, in a messenger. This way I'll newer miss it. Now my 10 years shop is gone. I contact to them, explain everything, nobody care. It's no respect to sellers at all. Thus year I pays them around 30k, and then they suspend my store... really? I definitely not recommend this place for sell.
Update:
All my orders shipped and re-saved by costumers, but they holding 450$ on my account. When I contact to them, it's what they reply to me:
We've found it necessary to delay disbursements from your payment account until March 31,2021.

On this date, the hold will be lifted and the remaining balance will be deposited into your bank account with what would have been your next scheduled auto-disbursement.

We took this action because your shop has presented a significant risk to our marketplace. Holding these funds ensures there will be money to issue a refund on your behalf, should that be a necessary resolution for unresolved concerns in your shop.

I've about had it with Etsy as they make it increasingly difficult to choose your preferences. After you make your first choice you're sent back to the home page to choose 'preferences' again for your second choice, then back to home again to choose, price or color, or size or location--each choice made after returning to the home page. Then if you view an item you must start over and make your choices again--individually. But first you must plow through the ads, And the items that have nothing to do with your carefully--slowly chosen--preferences. No thanks. I'll stick with Ebay.

The worst shopping site

I bought garlic seeds from Etsy for the first time. I was expecting great product. The package comes and I found that one of the bulb all crush. The bulb also have mold and rotting. I've been a garlic buyer for a while now, but never have this type of bad quality service.

I also bought sunchokes plant from Etsy for the first time. I was hoping this time they can finally give me a great product. My package comes 4 weeks later 2 weeks late, and open the package. I was shocked when I look at the plant. It was completely dead. The plant have barely roots on it to survive the travel.

I try to communicate with the company and got a hold of Steve. And he was completly unprofessional. He never even apologized for the product that they sell to the costumers.

This is the worst costumer service I've ever have. I'm a regular Amazon, Wish, Alibaba buyer, and various online market. I strongly recommend to not shop on this site Etsy. You will have bad experience and will loose money on the process. I have decided not to get a refund because this company will never succeed treating customers this way.
