Wanted to add a bank account to my regular account--they have all this advertising selling their banking services. So ok, I could use some banking services. I apply. They say it takes 5-7 days to fulfill. THREE weeks later, no response. No messages, no emails, nothing. I go to contact online, no email but there is chat service. Ok, I select chat. CHAT NOT AVAILABLE. I'm doing this during regular business hours, early enough for all US timezones! Are they even in business anymore? Did they go bankrupt or something? Guess I will transfer to one of their competitors.

Scam Company

Get in touch with coinwalletrecoup. Com to help you recover all your scammed funds. I got in touch with them when i was scammed by eTrade to be precise, having deposited over $75,000 but still couldn't withdraw any funds. They kept on telling me to deposit more to reach a certain amount but still couldn't withdraw then it dawned on me that these people were playing games with my money.
Within a week of contact, Coinwalletrecoup. Com did the impossible, they recovered everything and also my ROI for the agreed duration of investment.
Dont hesitate to contact them if you need any help. They're the Best out there.

DO NOT USE ETRADE

After depositing money to do trades, they decided to cancel my account with no reason and states they will not send me any refunds and gave no explanation. How can they get away with this?

Etrade hires a whole bunch of lazy customer service rep to do the work. It is extremely horrific when wanting to talk to someone or finding out why the accounts have not yet been set up after a few months. Applications submitted many times per instruction, but then, all they bother to do is rejecting the applications without telling you why. I highly recommend to stay away from eTrade.

The Etrade app took $1000 dollars from my account then my password didn't work from the moment it took my money, I tried to reset my password but I also had to reset my username first, despite making them less than 3 minutes prior. I have yet to get my $1000 back, as their website and app won't allow me to transfer my money back to my bank, nor does it let me invest it. NOT ONLY THAT, THE CUSTOMER SERVICE LEFT ME ON HOLD FOR 3 HOURS! This is not an exaggeration! I hung up after that, and I tried to call them again another weekday, and they yet again left me on hold for 45 minutes until I gave up. Etrade is a horrible buggy mess of an app, both on mobile and web browser, and their customer service is the worst I've experienced in my life. Do not trust it, it will steal your money and waste your time. Even their confirmation emails were sent to me 14 hours after I had finished making my account.

Decided I wanted to try etrade out to change things up. So I deposited 200 bucks and made some trades decided I didn't like their platform and waited for funds to settle. Tried to withdrawal the 210 like 3 days later, and they can't verify my phone number and all this other $#*!. Customer service is absolutely of no help. My money as of now is stuck and it's so so so annoying. This is by far the worst brokerage I've ever used in my life. Stay away!

I would give them Negative Stars!

First for OTC stocks their "FREE" service charges $6.95 each trade to BUY or SELL!

Now I switched to another company that DOESN'T charge for OTC, the charged $75 to transfer my portfolio. I HAVE LESS THAN $2000 in value. Would've been cheaper to pay the seller fees and repurchase.

I'm 63 yrs old... I'm new to all this but decided to use half my stimulus to do a little investing. My money posted in a great amount of time... I sent my daughter $100 so she can start investing... well that was a big mistake... they restricted my account for verification and wanted my ID... I was okay with that... sent my passport, driver's license, social security card. Ok then they decided that I need to write a letter begging them to reactivate my account.(bull****) customer service is the world's dumbest and always have an attitude as if its their money... 45-60 minutes hold and their mad... I just want my money back and never do business with them again! But after all that still restricted...

I have had snd account with E*TRADE I have been having a problem buying and selling my stocks, very unreliable no one calls back or emails back and please do not trust them with your money I lost a lot using E*TRADE deposits take forever and there platform is not user freindly Robinhood much better and they give u a credit line to start instead of making u wait I went to buy stock today and won't go threw and of course going up terrible company and never call back or pick up a phone what happen to me will happen to u

6:35 PM. Been listening to their Hold music for 1:16:02. The purse insolence of this company is amazing. Most companies have the grace of calling you back when it's your turn, but obviously not E*Trade.
Tomorrow I move my 2.2M investment over to Raymond James.

What service?

I have been trying unsuccessfully to establish an account since December – it's now February! If I call them they put me on hold for hours. Right now I'm on their "live" chat and in a queue that started at 176 minutes! That's right, almost 3 hours for a "live" chat.
They put a hold on my account because they needed a couple more documents. That's fine, that's understandable. I sent the docs, they received the docs, they processed the docs, but then, they did not cancel the hold. I can't do anything with this account. They provide no reasonable service, yet their only business is to provide service.

RUN: DON'T USE E-TRADE
February 6, 2021

E-trade makes too many mistakes that costs their customers thousands of dollars. What's worse is that it's impossible to communicate with their representatives in a respectable amount of time. 3 HOURS was the shortest wait I've ever had, and I've called them several times! Lastly, their staff don't understand stocks. I had to teach them before they could help me. RUN!

These guys are thieves
WHEN YOU BUY MARKET PRICE, it's supposed to sell it to you RIGHT AWAY, well that doesn't happen
Example I BUY TSLA AT 100 shares of TSLA at $800
Quickly it moves up to $810
Myself quickly too, sell at market $809
BUT THE BUG THEY HAVE PUTS MY MARKET PRICE ORDER ON THE SIDE, it never sells, because everything on your side FREEZES, so when everything comes back
Now TSLA is at $780
And instead of making a profit you end up WITH A BIG LOSS,
This same thing has happened to me 150 times

E-Trade was okay for the most part. Unfortunately, when it comes to saving my User ID, I have a very short memory. I don't save that info on to my computer for good reason.

So when I went back on E-Trade to recover my User ID, I was shocked that they didn't have my web address on record. I typed out my email address and they wanted me to verify my phone number. I put my phone number in, and they said they couldn't find it in the records, despite the fact that I had put my phone number in during the process of opening my damn account! I thought I may have made put in the wrong address, so I put in my second email address. They said if they found the address in their records, they would send me the ID within five minutes. Five minutes, ten minutes, fifteen minutes... NOTHING! As for customer service, FORGET IT! It's not even worth wasting my time.
E-Trade was good for me until it wasn't.

Everytime I call I'm on hold for 30 mins and never get a response. I tried to make a trade and it was blocked. It prompted me to call customer service. I tried to make the trade with the automated service and it was blocked. Waited on the line for a live person and never got a response.

I've been calling to the customer service number and I wait for more than 2 hours yesterday and today and no one answer the phone and the Chat service is not available since at least last week. No way to contact customer service. My last call was one hour and no one answered. I took a picture because I couldn't believe this.

It is stunning how bad the customer service is. Really. The wait to use the chat function can run 3 to 4 hours. Reaching them by phone may be as bad -- I've never waited long enough to find out. Why use Etrade when it has competitors whose customer service is so much better?

Worst platform ever
December 18, 2020

They don't answer-wait times are unlimited no communication- they lock your money up after you buy in stocks - then tell you you're missing information. When you Send in information, days later they haven't corrected the issue. You watch your stocks go up and then crash with out being able to do anything.
