Been told be 3 people now my money would be wired back directly starting Jan 13! Then canceled without contacting me! Called again, said would be taken care of directly yesterday! Now the wire has been canceled again. No notice to me, I have to keep on top of every hour!
YOU HAVE STOLE MY MONEY AND USING ILLEGALLY! THIS IS CRIMINAL!
YOU HAVE $62K MY MONEY AND I WANT IT BACK PLUS NOW!
I am working on turning this over to the Federal Securities referencing Securities Exchange Act of 1934.

This company is crooked and sits on your money in their slush fund making interest while you are fighting weeks, on the phone, holding, being lied too etc. Very Very poor company and un ethical.

The Worst Company
January 8, 2022

I have been on hold for over 4 weeks 3 hours a day. I finally sent an e mail blast stating I am going o release information I have taped. I have now dealing with someone who will not release be deceased husband's funds. I have hired an attorney who said e trades is the single most worst companies to work with.

I trade warrants and would get e-mails to let me know when the warrants expired.
The last expiration of one of my held warrants, I received only a phone call late on a Friday afternoon. I LOST MY WARRANTS! They had NO explanation.

I spent hours on hold just for them to play their stupid game. Hours! "anybody there" conveniently they cant hear you. Are you kidding me! Spent hours on hold to get to the next agent and you guess "hello anybody there

If you're new to investing and looking for a positive experience, E*Trade is not the place for you. Try calling their customer services phone numbers and you will experience 2+ hour hold times. What to use their Chat services, don't bother, they are never operational. What about their Chat Bots for answering basic questions, forget it as their developers don't have a clue what investors are really looking for so their bots are incapable of directing you to meaningful information.

If you hope to make day trades on this platform to grow your money, forget it... E*Trade has a 2-3 turn time between your sell to the time your funds are back in your account and available for trading. Why? Corporate Raking is when the money of customers are used in pools so the company can invest and make money while the consumers funds are idle. For that 2-3 days that E*Trade is using your money... day traders sit idle waiting for their funds to become available again.

E*Trade is the worst. I've moved my money to another platform.

Answering the phone

They are the worst customer service I have ever seen. I'm talking 1 hour hold times. They only way to fix the problem I had was to talk to someone and they had me on hold over 1 hour. You are lucky if they even answer after an hour!

Nothing but headaches

Opened a brokerage and checking account with them. Have had checking account a few months now and it's just the absolute worst. If you ever need to call them it's usually about a 2 hour wait time to get someone on the line. I've requested a debit card 3 times now and have yet to receive it, after being told theyll expedite and would take 3-5 days.
Almost anything you do with your account they'll flag it as suspicious activity and you're forced to call and wait in order to unfreeze your account.
1 call and they had the audacity, after verifying all my information, to say they needed pictures of my social, and ID or they couldn't do anything. Another call back to another rep and unfroze it with no issue so that's just suspicious as hell.
I've talked to a few reps that were actually helpful but the majority of the time you'll just be going in cicles.
Would definitely not recommend them, I've never had to call a bank so many times because my account keeps getting locked up for no reason.

ETRADE IS THE WORST

ETRADE is the worst financial institution I have ever delt with. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, they won't give it back without a fight. I have been on hold with Etrade for over 6 hours today trying to get my money. All they keep doing is putting up road blocks to block me from withdrawing MY MONEY. There are no alternatives except US Mail or waiting on hold for one of there incompetent, lying representatives. ETRADE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HOW MUCH OF YOUR TIME THEY WASTE, Save yourslf some aggravation and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE WITH YOUR MONEY. DON'T Waste your time with Live chat, doesn't work, just like the rest of ETRADE professionals (JOKE). IF there were something less than a 1 star I would give it to them.
Funny I read through the other complaints and there is a common thread. THIEVES is a good word for them. All I want is my money. Do not give me the same bullsh** responce that you give everyone. Call me and make this right.

I have not been able to access my eTrade account and with the markets being what they are my finances are at risk of losing thousands of dollars. I woke up one morning with my iPhone as dead as a doornail (black screen of death). Apple replaced my iPhone with a new one same day. However, because I use VIP Access to log into my eTrade account I found I could no longer log in due to the new iPhone. I've called eTrade technical support several times a day only to be told the representative wait time is over 2 hours and I hung up. One time I waited well over 2 hours and I was never put through to a representative so I hung up. It's been 3 days of calling eTrade with the same wait time so I still can't access my accounts maybe its better not seeing how much money I've lost. Oh well, today is day 3 and I've been on hold waiting over an hour to be put through to a representative with only another hour or 2 to go and maybe this time I'll get a representative. Also, don't bother with email it goes to eTrade Security Department and they only reply with a canned message about security best practices. Again NO HELP...

Customer service

I have tried to call and get through to someone on their customer service phone line for the last eight days. Estimated hold time reports on each call time as 90 minutes to 2 hours. Even more unprofessional and inefficient 45 minutes into waiting the phone call drops and hangs up. The customer service is absolutely horrible. There is no way to leave a message for anyone to call back. Most disappointed

When I call, the wait time has been either 60 or 90 minutes. This is unacceptable to me. This has been the most frustrating customer service experience of my life. Im just trying to get a new password and the website keeps directing me to make a phone call

Waited 2 hours for customer service to pickup, and the stupid $#*!ing $#*! piece of $#*! hung up after 1 minute. I hope his entire family gets cancer. Etrade Customer Service is bottom of the barrel full of monkey $#*!ed robots. If I was a vampire I'd hunt them down and drink all their break for $#*!ing breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

This company stinks. 2 hour hold times for weeks and even after 4 hours they don't answer. They make it impossible to take any of your money out.

AVOID ETRADE AT ALL COSTS

I deposited $1k to start trading. They claim they can't verify my identity even though I've sent them all the documents they've requested, multiple times. So now they're sitting on my $1k and I can't access it. When I call, wait times are between 2-8 hours (!) and nobody has been able to help me. I could have taken advantage of at least 3 market downturns in the time they've had my money. I want them to just return it to the bank account I funded from, but there's no way to do that... they refuse to transfer it back. I opened up an account with Fidelity instead, initiated a transfer request, but they won't transfer the money. They've essentially stolen $1k from me. They are scam artists. Don't trade with them!

So apparently E*Trade allows their new hire trainees to manage wire transfers now. Either the Trainee messed up, or the Manager messed up, but due to someone's oversight, they did not submit the Wire Transfer in time (we requested at noon today, and they didn't submit until after 4pm when the federal reserve closes).

This has caused us to miss our closing payment on the home, which has delayed closing until payment can be received, which won't be until Monday. We've had movers scheduled, utilities transferred, and other financial costs and losses due to E*Trade's mistake.

We will be leaving E*Trade first thing on Monday.

Good luck, if you choose to stay with them.

I manage an account IRA for my mom, I have had power of attorney previously and decided to move the account to E*TRADE to keep it separated from my other accounts... That started the worst thing I ever experienced in customer service. They took the money, but would not recognize the notarized signed power of attorney forms I already a had, wanted it on their own forms. Went to the notary, had all the papers signed and notarized, didn't like where my name was,,,,, told me to move my name from co owner to agent, which I did, paid a notary again to notarize the forms again, mailed them in and now they say there is still some problem! The worst part is, I can not do anything with the money, cant buy, sell, withdraw NOTHING! And the worst part, the most insane part they wont tell me whats wrong without my 90 year old mother on the phone who lives 20 miles away, hard of hearing! She has already on a recorded line authorized me as power of attorney to them yet they continue to throw hurdles which prevent any action to happen with the account... over one month and still waiting until tomorrow to see if I can get someone to tell me wtf is the problem now! Stay away from this trade platform, the worst incompetent people you ever had to deal with! Update on 8/16/21 now, after all these hoops etrade made me jump through, they tell me that for the 3rd time they need to speak to my 90 year old hard of hearing mother again! This will be the 3rd time, notarized paperwork for power of attorney in their hands and here is another hoop they want me to jump through before anything can be touched with the money! Stay away my friends stay far far away from this brokerage, they dont know what they are talking about and have no regard for you or your money in spite of them saying " I am sorry about that" over and over again... 31 days and counting since they took my mothers money hostage!
