What happened to my account. This was on Dec. 2/20:20 my days gain showed 7,017,395.81. I was told that it did not happen. I asked for paper copies of what went on. Of course I was told 17, there was no way that my account could of reached that much, although I had one stock with a 9,900% gain with 1,250,000 shares. I am just in a space I never would of thought I would be. It recycled the next day and the profit gains was gone POOF! Where did it go? I have called for auditor of accounts to send me specifically what happened and still nothing. I don't know what to do? Can anyone help.
Their platform will mess you up real bad, I almost lost $79k to them, I was able to recover loses with the help of the debtadvocate team at debtadvocate. C O, They helped me get all I lost back in a couple of weeks
E*trade is the worst broker to use when it comes to any kind of trading, they are an out dated dinosaur.
Your orders will never get filled on time, they almost never have shares to borrow for shorting, customer service is non-existent, has terrible software.
I wish I could give it negative 5 stars.
Absolute trash of a broker and company.
Worst customer service, after opening an account and depositing my stimulas money of $1200. 00, I traded a few stocks then went to send out $500.00 to help a friend with a funeral charges. E*TRADE froze my account. I have spoken to customer service for the last 4 days, send a picture of my id, to no avail. They are keeping my money and I don't know what to do. I am 72 years old and this is hard on me. Who can I report this elder abuse to?
Great customer support at Etrade. They really take the time to speak with you about all questions you have related to your account. It has been a great experience using them and I will continue to do so!
I added money to my account with the intention of buying some stock. It went in as a contribution and didn't go toward purchasing stock so I chatted online with the company and found out I owe fees they never told me about. I didn't get a notification, email, or even a letter in the mail. Why wouldn't you let your customer know you owe them money? I don't understand the logic behind that. E*Trade needs to be more transparent if they want you to trust them with your money. I was forced to join because they took over my Capital One investment account. How difficult would it be to add a notification online so you know where you stand?
I was looking to open an E-Trade account from abroad as an American citizen living in Germany. I called a man named Mario Gurra who told me to send over my information to his email digitally and that it would take 2-4 business days until I received a conformation. He also gave me his phone number and told me to call him once I sent him everything. I proceeded to call him and he never answered. I was only able to get into contact with him through contacting customer service. He kept coming up with excuses about why the application couldn't be completed. He was a total jerk and very arrogant. I will be putting my time and money elsewhere. I am disgusted that E-Trade uses such unprofessional people. I would recommend not putting your money into the hands of a company that puts people in charge who are clueless.
Etrade's website hangs up during peak trading times, and I was blocked from placing a trade on Friday just before mkt close. Was clearly their server not responding b/c I was able to load and access Gmail/yahoo/Schwab just fine. By the time it let me into my accnt to place a trade, 3 min later, the mkt was closed. Never once had even a slight delay from Schwab. I also like Schwab's trading interface much better (w/ Real time quotes and basic stock trading range history & your ownership on the same page) than Etrade's. I used to like Etrade much better, but they attrophied over the years while Schwab greatly upped their game.

All my investments are lost. My acc manager promised me a profit every time, but it is nothing similar, all you get is losses.
If you are going to trade actively and use margin, don't go with E*TRADE. It's true, they play games with margin calls, seems to be on purpose. I think they make money somehow by how they do it. Rd Ameritrade does not do that. Td has better tools and no dirty tacktics. After 4 years of the same stuff from them, i am going to liquidate my E*TRADE account as soon as I can and never, ever look back.

Almost losing all I had to trading really took severe effects on my mental health, I couldn't believe it truly happened, I was in denial for a couple of months. After finally accepting I had been scammed, I was able to talk to people about it and not be ashamed. It was when I did this I was able to come across yingyue at yandex com who helped me recover exactly a valuable sum from the amount I lost. I'm still in a bit of shock as I never knew this could happen. I am grateful and I want people who are in a similar situation to know that all hope is not lost and they can recover their money too.
I have trading accounts at several brokerages - all with margin. When the market goes down, Etrade lowers the equity percentages and requires more cash in order to keep the positions. Other brokerages may do the same but not the frequency as as Etrade.
When this happens only Etrade does not advise the account holder of a funds deficit. They choose to sell you out with a sellout fee 7 times their regular trading fees.
I don't have time to monitor my account every minute of every day but they seem to enjoy depleting the value of my account. I will never trade with them again.
I've been with E*Trade before they were ever "cool". I started trading with them in late 1995, and each time I consider leaving, I find reasons to stay. They seem to appreciate my loyalty, and the managers of the few branches I've visited (yes, E*Trade has a few physical branches), they are very welcoming and highly respectful of my loyalty. Yeah the trading fees are of the most expensive on the Internet, but they are now giving us more incentives to stay, and attempting to correct their prices to more competitive levels.
My husband has tried to check it out and all the reviews were bad. They just want your money period spend it on yourself
I am getting cash back for items I was already planning on buying. It is like getting an extra discount especially around the holidays when cash back is doubled.
As a pro trader I wouldn't recommend to use the E-Trade platform as your main, having said that it is an excellent platform for beginners.
E-Trade makes it very easy to track your stocks and compare potential investments. They also do a pretty decent job assisting the beginner investor in understanding stock market processes.
All in all I'd recommend them to most people.
They have a huge mixture of clothing at many different price ranges. You can get basics and you can get some super trendy things that you won't find elsewhere. They have great prices. Their swimsuit selection is excellent.
Shipping is always fast. Love it.
My favorite part is that you can see almost every item on a model in a video. So you can see how it looks on someone who is moving... not just posing. It helps me make a lot of decisions. I wish every place did that!
