I have used etags twice. In both cases the official DMV website for my state insisted that I had to apply in person at the agency in order to renew my tags. Not with etags. I sent them the tag number and a reasonable fee and an electronic registration was emailed to me the next day. The stickers and permanent registration was in my mailbox in less than a week. Just use etags Trust me.
I ask to cancel because at dmv transfer fee was $15 dollars and etag was 99 dollars if I would of know to go to dmv would save me more money I payed for title transfer fee on etag etag took 5 weeks to reply to tell me that I need to pay dmv fees I went to dmv and it was cheaper to pay at dmv v gave me title and tags I call etag to cancel they charge me $50 dollars to cancel that is there fee for doing nothing never again just go to dmv

The eTags service was great, temporary paper card issued there and then. Actual document and decal delivered to the door three days later. No waiting in line at the DMV, no answering stupid questions, no looking for documents that you always put in a place the you will remember and then you can't find them. This really is a great service and this is how other licensing / permitting procedures should be handled. Funnily enough, you can now do the same to obtain / renew your dog licenses.

Ok, except it appeared I was quoted a price and charges another. I was charged about 20 more that what it was supposed to be, other thn that convient. But costly.
I paid e tags for registration. And never got registration nor my refund from e tags. When I call them they say its processing. And months go by
Fun fact this website will at no point inform you that there are multiple hidden fees.
Not once was it mentioned that I should expect a notification detailing state, agency, and convenience fees. It is also not advertised at any point that there is a cancelation fee of $20 should you realize that this website is trying to massively rip you off.
I needed this done at a reasonable time frame because I depend on the vehicle to get to and from work and it took them about 5 days to inform me that the reason I've received no update from them is because there were more fees coming my way.
The website is a very interesting scam, you can't run a business like this without informing the customer about your fees and additional fees being added on, before we claim it to be naive to not expect this it is not advertised AT ALL that there will be more fees coming. We are talking about an additional $314.25, just spoke with the county tax collector and this service wouldn't even cost 100 if we schedule an appointment to go take care of this in person.
Stay away from this site, just take care of everything at the establishment where they won't rake you over the coals.
