This is the easiest way to renew my registration! The reminders are so nice so I can budget especially with CA fees so high! These people Etags takes your money and does not ship your stuff to you. Their liars and go to the BBB website n you'll see TONS of bad reviews. DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE! Horrid customer service!
This was so easy. I misplaced my title just as I was about to sell it & I needed it from another state. Figured it would be a couple of weeks but was only a matter of days! Was so thrilled it was so fast & easy!

Being charged a $30 dollar service fee for a simple transaction feels like price gouging and a rip off of the consumer.
Someone is making a lot of money from a service that could have a more reasonably priced service fee!
DO NOT DO ETAGS! It cost me 150 to renew my tags and do a title transfer. I had to pay another 170 for Etags fees. Not worth at all, when I pay more for a service then the product itself. I'd rather wait 3 hours in line.
Your service was pricey but gave me peace of mind, since I would be out-of-state when due! All legal!

2 months I've been waiting on this title. Finally got it and the vehicle color was wrong on the new title. They tell me I have to take it to the DMV and get it fixed. So what did I pay nearly $300 for? After numerous calls they tell me to send the title back and they will fix it. 4 weeks later I get an email that they got the new title and sent it overnight as a courtesy. Over a week later still not here and they have no clue where it is. Now I have no title. I asked for a refund and they say the only way to refund is to cancel the order. I say cancel the order they say they can't. Please save your self 1000 headaches and just go to the DMV. This company is a joke.
I don't recommend using this company's service. I paid them to get my car's title and they never completed the service. I had to get the title by myself and now they don't want to refund the $59.95 that I paid for the service They said there is a cancelation fee. But I am not canceling the service they never completed the service and I was waiting for a month to received my title but I never received it. They are stealing my money. I recommend going to the Tax Collector Office if you have time. It is cheap and you can get your title on the same day. Don't trust these people.
Hi Norma, Sorry to hear that you had an unsatisfactory experience. Our records show that you were sent multiple notifications to the email you provided us to advise you that we needed a copy of your ID which could be provided by uploading an image via your eTags account or could be emailed to us. We never received the copy of your ID and so could not ship the title. A copy of the ID is required to assure that the vehicle owner is the one requesting the title. We see that you have been assisted since then and a refund of the majority of the fees has been issued. We are glad to hear that you were able to obtain your title by showing your ID in person. Went into the DMV and they want me to take my time write a report to Sacramento, etc, but that still lets etags run amok because they the DMV would simply refund me the overcharge. I'm trying to start from ground zero with the DMV and delete the entire etags transaction completely but tags they were the ones who I started the title transfer with, so I'm working on it from ground zero. For the record etags.com took $1762. 90 when my screen of their website of my cart at check-out cart $380. I was in shock the next day seeing myself that far in the red. Never ever happened before in my life, and so far they have gotten away with it. Corporate crimes in our country, a much needed discussion. By the way, once you start a claim regarding, they fully disappear. That might be a good things actually.
, When I put the VIN and the other stats into their system the amount that was generated by their website for my registration was $308. That is the amount I authorized. A few days later I'm almost $1000 in the red which NEVER happened in my life because these "people" withdrew $1782. 90 WITHOUT authorization, without notification, without explanation, without an email, letter, phone call, without any communication whatsoever. They did not return several phone calls and emails and I am having to file against them. Even the Bank of America Claims specialist was surprised at the large amount of money they took from my account. By the way, their website is manipulated according to their whims and when I clicked on the receipt in my inbox for the $308 amount that I did authorize, it had magically changed to $1782. 90 amount... once again without ANY notification on their part and completely without my knowledge, permission and authorization to do so. Then when the bank blocked them from any further access to my account, I received the information that they had already set up recurring payments without my authorization. Thank God the bank was able to block them and now I am patiently waiting to get my money back. The ONLY reason I was stupid enough to reach out to them is because the DMV's had been closed because of all the hoopla, and I thought they were the DMV. Steer clear of this company.
I paid way too much. But it was delivered very quickly I will give them that. As a person who doesn't want to go to the dirty DMV or tag place because of the gross people and the pandemic is still happening, I was happy to order online. But it's very overpriced. Just know that. It's normally $40. You're paying more than double.
I did everything right, sent in my info, credit card into. They take my money, tell me to send in my only proof of title papers in the mail. Which I refused to do. So they tell me an address I can bring it to, I look up the address and it's 6 hours away. I call them back to tell them the issue, they basically say "not my problem". So I ask them to cancel my payment 138$! That already was high enough. Both times I called I got the same guy, Rafael
Customer Support Representative. When I emailed them to tell then my complaint, I get the same guy email me. This is a scam and it's just this 1 guy running most of this oporation. So I'm out 138$ and they refuse to give it back when I got NOTHING in return. I ask to talk to the manager and he says "sorry, he'll tell you the same thing. Have a nice day" hang up. Service fee 99$. Insane!
