I absolutely agree with Charles L.'s review. The same thing happened to me. I thought I would take advantage of the convenience of online ordering. I had no idea until I had placed my order that it costs $20 more! There is no where in the renewal slip explaining that it is much more expensive than renewing through the mail. Next year I will definitely renew through the mail.

Slightly comfusung because you mention dads car then dont ask for any information. You only ask for tags, not does the car run, pass emmissions, is driveable. Kinda important questions.
I hate going to the DMV, this makes it so easy. The tags come fast, you can print out your registration right there to show you paid. I could see this being amazing for any major procrastinators out there.

Apparently I paid the tags and then I recieved an email saying 'your items are still in cart' even when they send me a confirmation of the payment I made! The I paid and extra $51dls!
I did receive the tags, but I received 2 sets. How can I return the extra set and Would I get a reimburse?

I was shocked at the extra service fees, which I thought were too many and too high. But I probably would have paid them anyway but I just think people should be aware of the extra charges. But pleased with the service.

No problems with renewing and receiving registration. Very displeased to find that hidden fees were added on, only visible once I submitted payment info, which essentially DOUBLED the price for renewal. I will never EVER use e-tags again and will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid this company as well. It's pretty bad when the local news does an exposé to reveal that this company is price-gouging.
I renewed other vehicles in March and April and guess what no fees. Now all the sudden I'm hit with a convenience fee apparently. Not Right. Something needs to be done about this and its a significant fee, not like a $5.00 fee

You can still renew online directly with your state or county to avoid fees but, as a private company, we do charge fees for the expedited service we provide which are disclosed both before and after an order is submitted. Answer: Hi Karl, yes, you can. If you are already an owner of the vehicle, you can order a duplicate or replacement title if you lost your original copy. If you need to transfer ownership into your name, you can also request a transfer of the title only without applying for a registration. We provide both of these services in Florida, California, and Pennsylvania. New York services will be online soon. Visit eTags.com to choose the state and service. If your vehicle is not currently registered in any of those state or you are not transferring that title to that state, you can still do the same service directly with the DMV in the state you are in. Answer: Hi John, thanks for your question. We currently offer renewal service online in California, Maryland, and Florida. You will be able to still use our service if your vehicle is registered in California or Florida. Please keep in mind that the DMV will require we collect the past due amount along with the fee to bring your tag current through the next year. If your vehicle is registered in Maryland, the MVA requires you renew in person if you are more than 6 months late so you will not be able to complete the order online with eTags. We can also unsubscribe you if you would like to send us your order ID or tag number and name on the order. We apologize for the delayed reply as this site (sitejabber.com) is not owned or operate by eTags and we do not monitor communications via this independent reviews website regularly. Our support team can respond to inquires within 24 hours if we are contacted directly by phone or email. On our website, both before and after and order is submitted for Florida registered vehicle, we itemized our service fees and we disclose that your state registration fee is to be determined (TBD). The Florida registration fee is not listed on the website becuase, since we are not the DMV, we have to send your plate information to a state licensed agency to calculate that amount and that is done offline. We do provide a resource before the order is placed that allow you to estimate the amount of your state registration fee and we also disclose on our website that we are not owned or operated by any government agency. We apologize if you missed that information prior to completing your order. Your registration was already renewed on 3/24/17 and this cannot be reversed with the state DMV. Your tags were already shipped to the address you provided us at the time you placed your order. Please contact our customer support team directly by phone or email and they will be able to assist you with any additional questions or concerns you may have.
