Fees are too high when compared to CA DMV website. I had mistakenly used the etag website. The website is very similar to DMV website. Only saw fees that seem excessive for service provide.

They charged me 100 Dollars more for a service I could have done for free. Their page pops up first before you can get to the DMV site. Make sure you are on DMV website otherwise they overcharge you and there is not canceling with them. No exceptions! Very slow in getting back to you. Please don't fall for it!

Read all my emails I sent requesting a cancellation of my vehicle registration renewal after 15 hrs …. And was denied! I had already called Pbc tax office and they said that it was not too late to cancel with Etags. But etags said the product was too late to cancel!
Initially I was charged $286.60, but after multiple attempts to call the company regarding the fee being charged and u the unavailability of a human@ Taranto discuss the problem with I gave up. No questions were answered in my numerous emails and ultimately I was charged ridiculous fees added to what Pbc tax office were going to charge me ($229.20)of $270.94 for a two year renewal registration! I will never use this stags EVER AGAIN! In a time of where the country is going through Inflation s. The people are being ripped off!
I would request that you return also my additional fees that were charged!. But I'm sure that will not happen!

Answer: Hi Karl, yes, you can. If you are already an owner of the vehicle, you can order a duplicate or replacement title if you lost your original copy. If you need to transfer ownership into your name, you can also request a transfer of the title only without applying for a registration. We provide both of these services in Florida, California, and Pennsylvania. New York services will be online soon. Visit eTags.com to choose the state and service. If your vehicle is not currently registered in any of those state or you are not transferring that title to that state, you can still do the same service directly with the DMV in the state you are in. Answer: Hi John, thanks for your question. We currently offer renewal service online in California, Maryland, and Florida. You will be able to still use our service if your vehicle is registered in California or Florida. Please keep in mind that the DMV will require we collect the past due amount along with the fee to bring your tag current through the next year. If your vehicle is registered in Maryland, the MVA requires you renew in person if you are more than 6 months late so you will not be able to complete the order online with eTags. We can also unsubscribe you if you would like to send us your order ID or tag number and name on the order. We apologize for the delayed reply as this site (sitejabber.com) is not owned or operate by eTags and we do not monitor communications via this independent reviews website regularly. Our support team can respond to inquires within 24 hours if we are contacted directly by phone or email. On our website, both before and after and order is submitted for Florida registered vehicle, we itemized our service fees and we disclose that your state registration fee is to be determined (TBD). The Florida registration fee is not listed on the website becuase, since we are not the DMV, we have to send your plate information to a state licensed agency to calculate that amount and that is done offline. We do provide a resource before the order is placed that allow you to estimate the amount of your state registration fee and we also disclose on our website that we are not owned or operated by any government agency. We apologize if you missed that information prior to completing your order. Your registration was already renewed on 3/24/17 and this cannot be reversed with the state DMV. Your tags were already shipped to the address you provided us at the time you placed your order. Please contact our customer support team directly by phone or email and they will be able to assist you with any additional questions or concerns you may have.
