I noticed that eShakti does not allow customers to review their Facebook page - Customers, BEWARE OF THIS PRACTICE. As a social media manager, I can tell you it is a very clear sign the company would have many negative reviews. Including one from me. Here is my eShakti experience. I will be screen capturing this post as well, as I suspect the company also practices removing negative comments (another thing you should beware of before buying)...

I made my first purchase with eShakti about a month ago. I paid the extra fee to have the dress made to my specific height at the "above the knee" length.To ensure it was indeed correct, I even subtracted an inch from my overall height. As you can see in the photo, the garment was not only made incorrectly, but incredibly wrinkled from poor packaging.

I then sent an email to their customer service department explaining that I would like a FULL refund, as their refund page on the website said that the customizing fee will not be refunded. Despite doing my due diligence, I was sent back an automatic reply directing me to that same webpage.

I waited multiple days for an email response from an actual eShakti representative and never received one. So, I called their customer service number and spoke with "Dominique." She assured me I would "hear back from Amy by Dec. 8." That day obviously came and went with no reply. I then called again on Dec. 12. The representative was valley girl snotty, and never even provided her name. It said the call was recorded, and I hope it was because she needs to be fired! I was told by her that "Dominique should've never said when I would hear back from Amy. But she then went on to explain, I should hear back from Amy in the next 24 hours." Shocker, I never did.

I was also told to return the dress and that they have a note in the system that I would receive a full refund. I of course do not have this in writing - as I am still waiting on that glorious email from this "Amy" person. So, I am returning the dress, and let me be clear - I AM getting a full refund.

Great service eShakti. You're literally one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. BUYER BEWARD. In fact, do yourself a favor... DON'T BUY!

I have been buying eshakti for over 4 years now. I love the quality and the price. You cannot beat it especially when you can have a custom dress made for your body type. When I had a problem with my dress, customer service was outstanding.

One thing that many customers must realize, is that they also have pre made sizes that may not fit your arms if they are thicker. If that is the case, you can always notify eshakti and see if they can make a change:-)

I had ordered 3 dresses of which i got 2 because 1 was out of stock, but i love both my dresses and I always get compliments for my dress. Have ordered another half a dozen dresses. Cant wait to get them...

I received my order on September 26th, and unfortunately it was really unflattering. I printed the return shipping label provided by eshakti, and mailed my return on October 14th. I never heard anything until December 8th (nearly 2 months later!) that I was being given a gift card, not a refund. Upon inquiring about this, I was told they received the return on November 4th, though the tracking number shows October 31st (so November 4th was a lie). The return policy is a scam, beware! It states that returns made within 30 days will be refunded. I am now being told the item has to be in their hands within 30 days. NO WHERE does it specifically state this in their policy, and furthermore, they provided the shipping label which then took two weeks to reach them - completely beyond my control. I made the return within two weeks of receiving, and they are not honouring their own policy. I have never encountered this in all my experience online shopping - this is a scam.

I am very disappointed - I was looking forward to trying more products, and had even recommended trying this to friends and family, but I will definitely make sure they all know how terrible this experience (over 2 months to process return! False advertising in their policies). Not worth the hassle.

I have purchased 5 dresses from eshakti.com and the first one I had custom made as I have very broad shoulders and things that are not knit, don't fit well. The fit was perfect and the quality was great! The other 4 I ordered a traditional size and couldn't be more pleased! I always get compliments when I wear any of the dresses and I can buy exactly what I want right down to the neckline and sleeve length! I can't wait to buy more!

I have more than a dozen eShakti dresses; I wear them all the time, and get compliments every single time I do. Getting to pick the neckline, hemline, and sleeves is AMAZING and allows every woman to design the dress for herself, her body, and her tastes. Plus, they come in a HUGE range of sizes from 00 to 6x and EVERY dress in every size? Magic! It takes a month to get your dress because it was not MADE until you ordered it! Plus, pockets. POCKETS!
I've had no quality problems, never sent anything back, and my friends have all been happy with their purchases, too. I'm a believer in this company! LOVE THEM!
Plus, if you don't like it... a return label COMES with the dress to make it easy and hassle free to send it back. Never used it, but it's nice to know its there.

Have had nothing but problems with my last few orders with this company. First time, they took over a month to deliver my order when their website promises you the dress will be delivered in 10 days. Call the customer service and their indifference is so appalling! No apologies were offered... instead all I got was an indifferent attitude from the rep.

The second time around, I tried their much advertised and bragged upon, only-Store-to-offer-fabric-customization feature. First of all they didnt have the pairing they had sent I their ad mail, when I sent an email to the customer service team, they replied back saying the pairing was now available to order and I did. A week later I get an email saying my order is canceled due to fabric unavailability! WTHECK? Why advertise on a feature that you guys are clearly not well equipped to handle and waste customers time? Shame on you eshakti for false advertising and misleading customers

I was looking for a formal gown for a Holiday Party. I found a dress that was beautiful on the website and I was falling between 3 different dress sizes - so I ordered using custom measurements. The dress arrived and I'm so excited for the party. The dress is BEAUTIFUL and it was under $50! So impressed!
