Purchased 8 hard wired slim line Kidde smoke detectors in Feb ****. Finally got around to replacing old ones 12 months later and realized that the slim line style doesnâ€t fit my existing gang box.
Therefore, I would have to either return them or replace all of my existing “gang boxes”. Long story short, I ended up returning them, yes 12 months later albeit a 25% restock fee and purchasing new hard wired carbon monoxide/ smoke combo hardwired detectors for my units.
The cool part is that Kidde now has a “adapter” that you can buy for $* per unit so that you can quickly hook up each unit in less than 5 minutes.
In the end, EBS was professional, knowledgeable, and very competitive on the pricing side. Shipping was FAST too. I would highly recommend them for your future purchases.

I bought various Juno track lighting components from 4 different internet sites. Electric Bargain Stores price was good - not always the lowest. BUT they shipped on-time and were very responsive to questions. The lowest price site was a nightmare (long story). For the small price difference, it was not worth the hassle. Plus, I found the EBS website among the best - easy to use and accurate. I have a large follow-up order to fill, and will place it all with Electric Bargain Store because I now trust them to deliver as promised. This is how shopping on the web SHOULD be.
