We had gradually disconnected malfunctioning FIREX smoke alarms til we only had one left. For a small price we now have piece of mind with Kidde replacements, and I added a carbon monoxide detector to the system as well. They all operate together again like when we moved into our house. Small price to pay for safety.

It was too easy to order the wrong item. I ordered smoke detectors but received the exact brand etc that I wanted except that they do not have battery backup. I typed in the part number but erroneously ordered the one with the the letter on the end of the part number.
