Like most people have said they send out giftcards with $0 and it can be a hit or miss with them. I bought two giftcards, one was good(the correct amount and everything) but my 2nd one had $0 balance, I emailed them and they got back to me a couple days later that they will do an investigation and then a bit after that they told me that the investigation has closed and they found out that the seller of the card used up the amount on the card and that it would take about 15 business days for my refund. I waited and waited, but saw nothing in my bank account, and then I emailed them and got no response. I emailed them again and am still waiting for them to respond. This site really is out to scam people.

If you are looking for immediate or fast payout (as in one to two days), look elsewhere to sell. Now.

I sold a Target gift card. I didn't hear anything back for two weeks so I had to write them an email to inquire about the status. They wrote back a few days later, and I was finally paid out. The thing that irritated me the most is that when they used Paypal for the payout, the way they did it took out a Paypal fee from the payout! They are the first site I've sold gift cards to that Paypal took out a fee. The only reason I am not more angry with my whole transaction with them is that I sold such a small $ amount (thank goodness, or I'd be so livid). Lesson learned. Based on my personal experience, I will never use them again.

I will not say that they are a scam (for selling) because I did get paid out -- eventually. But I think it's probably a one man or very small team behind the site, maybe even a side business for someone who works full-time elsewhere and cannot dedicate their time 100% behind this. There are better sites out there to sell unwanted gift cards, people. My favorite so far for both buying and selling is Cardcash.com.

Stole my husbands money
March 14, 2020

Hi good evening I am very upset right about now and with good reason. My poor husband had a $160 autozone giftcard because the store would not refund his money over an auto part he purchased and then didnt need. They only allowed him store credit by giving him a giftcard. But my husband and I are in a somewhat difficult situation right with no jobs and a seven month old son. I lost my job of 13 years! So we needed some formula for the baby and diapers so my husband decides to sell the giftcard through E&J and what do you know. They took the funds out of the giftcard and did not deposit anything in his paypal account. Zero balance on both ends. Shame on you E&J dont know how you sleep at night. My poor husband wrote them not to process because he then found a friend of ours that was going to purchase some stuff for his pickup and he was willing to give us half of the cards worth $80 but E&J went ahead and emptied out the card anyway. The entire $160 and didnt give us the $73 and some change they said they would give for the card. Paypal account 0.00. Autozone giftcard 0.00. What dregs these individuals must be. Taking money from people just like thieves! Baby no milk and no diapers

Purchased two gift cards, both zero balances
February 18, 2020

Purchased two gift cards. Checked balance and found both cards had zero balances. Despite my reporting to company that the cards had a zero balance the next day for the first card and within 20 minutes of purchase for the second, it took six weeks to get a refund for the first card and four weeks for the second. Way too slow to get my refund. They should check the balances of their cards they sell before they sell it. Will never shop here again.

I purchased a $169 Ulta gift card and received an e-gift card with $0 balance. I contacted customer service twice through their contact us form and submitted a claim as well. No response from customer service. Only received an auto-response from the claim submitted. Still have not heard anything back since my purchase and that was 5 days ago. This is not my first time buying from them but never again. Unresponsive and not trust-worthy. Apparently I have to allow up to 14 - 21 business days for them to resolve my claim. Just unacceptable. What's more unacceptable is the radio silence from this company since I've contacted them.

I give up
February 5, 2020

Bought 50.00 Starbucks card for gift at Xmas & received via email. Card showed 0 balance on Starbucks sight, at Starbucks store, online at EJgiftcards.com. Emailed 12/26 with no response. Small print says cards are guaranteed but I have to give them 14 days to answer. I waited 14 days and emailed 5 more times with NO response. Disputed with credit card and after almost 3 months still no response. Mistakes can be made but "guarantee" is no good if EJ Gift Cards won't respond. Will not do business with again as they don't value customers.

:D :D :D :D :D I have an H&M gift card and I know there is like 40 USD in it. I went on their gift card page, clicked on H&M and got an offer. They seem to be offering me all the money in the world :D I cannot even read the number: $**************. 00 They ask for my PayPal information to give me this. :D sure I would gladly accept their offer. :D It's gonna be fun guys. Try it yourself. I had a blast, can't stop laughing.

Complete BS
December 13, 2019

First they offer far lower than other sites. Was my only option at the time though. Uploaded my e-gc info and was approved, kept getting emails at every step even the final approved for payout step. After a few days i messaged support asking how long. They then told me i needed to import the card info or some $#*! that was impossible for me to do since i got the codes from an app. I told them this and they said they couldn't pay until i do. So i asked why did they send all those emails including the final payout in process one? They said new management and that i will not ne paid until i upload what i couldn't. They told me its for security and that until i do that no customer will be able to purchase either card from their end. I apologized and said i couldn't but then i went back to my notebook where i wrote the codes down and the webpage where i verified they had a balance before ever finding this site, which they did. This time however they both had been spent! Customer support was so full of $#*!. They already had sold my cards and took a profit, but continued to claim thry couldn't pay me or sell them themselves even after i called them out on their $#*!. I filed a complaint on some legal website explaining this. Almost a full year later i received a random payment to my paypal about the amount that was owed. Didnt say who sent it. So its possible they finally paid me, but after all that bull$#*!, and time, it was nowhere near an amount id havd been happy with. This started late 2017 btw. $#*! them. I can provide all the emails if needed.

Do NOT trust this thief/website.
November 14, 2019

IF YOU ARE A BUYER, you will get a $0 gift card, and once you dispute the transaction with your credit card company, they will claim they already sent the gift card to you and refuse to issue a refund "even if they have agreed in the email that they will issue a refund in 14-21 days".

IF YOU ARE A SELLER, once you give them your gift card information, they will immediately spend them, and refuse to issue any payment to your Paypal account, even if they have agreed in the email that you will get paid.

NEVER NEVER trust the 5-star ratings reviews, they were left by owner of Ejgiftcard, as can be seen in the title of the reviews, they have only 2 words like "easy money", "Simply professional", "Pretty Good", "Good Job"

I also Filed a Complaint with the IC3 who handle Internet crime complaints.

Forever stuck on payment initiated
November 12, 2019

Tried to sell a 10$ gift card for 4 bucks and it's been almost almost a week with no change in status. Tried reaching out to Admin twice but they have been amazingly unresponsive. Thankfully it's not a significant amount or id be angry but still feel like im being taken for a ride.

Oh well serves me right i guess, how these people manage to stay in business ill never know. They ought to be shut down and investigated for fraud.

Hopeful
November 5, 2019

My order number is *******. I tried both a good and bad gift card... it reflected a zero balance for one, which I expected and the 150 for the good one, so they do verify balances right off. I'm expected to get 90$ in a few days. I received an email at *******@gmail.com from Sam Smith saying they received my info and are processing it. It looks good so far. I have many gift cards to get rid of and I'm hoping this site is the real deal. Fingers crossed guys and I'll update talk on my experiences.

Feel I was scammed
November 2, 2019

Should have listened to all the reviews not just the few postived ones that may be planted.
Sold 3 giftcards to ej giftcards 8/16/19.
After entering card info the accepting their offer I receive a email for the company stating I would receive payment in 3 days via paypal. I checked giftcard balance after and it was $0 right after I sent them the info. Now its 11/2/2019 I have received no money, I have emailed and called every 1-2 weeks and never got a response or a paypal deposit. I should just get paypal deposit, they got giftcard money right away and now its over 2 months and I have received nothing. They are really taking advantage of people, it's a straight up scam there is no legit reason for them not paying. At this point I don't want any excuses or response that their looking into it, I just want the money I'm owed.
