I recently purchased two iphone 7 from Souq.com. One silver and one rose gold. When the phones arrived, I opened the silver one and found that there was an AT&T sim inside the phone, when I inserted the Du Sim card, the phone displayed a message saying it cannot accept this carrier. I also tried using a vodafone sim card but the same message appeared.

Souq.com sent the phone that was clearly locked to AT&T carrier and it had an AT&T sim inside. I sent a screen shot of the phone to the customer service after inserting a Du SIM card. Even when I google'd the model number it clearly appears to be an AT&T version phone. Further the phone came without any Sim Pin Eject tool. I mean if it's universally unlocked then why was there no sim pin ejection tool? You think Apple Inc. forgot to put one in the phone I ordered?

Also the return policy did not work. Souq.com refurbished the phone by unlocking it and is now shipping it back. It got it unlocked at HELPBIT, an electronics repair service center in Dubai.

Be careful, you dont want to get cheated!

I purchased several items from them all seemed to be ok but my latest item was not as advertised and the seller I noticed was the only one who gave his own selling item 5 star. It's Chinese junk, I have not even bothered to return it, it's in the bin, When something goes wrong their customer service team with fake US accents just don't care. For the sake of 150 aed Souq you have now lost thousands from me. Typical cheap money grabbing short term outlook way of running a business. I will stick to stores from now on.

I bought a gas oven from the best rated seller: dod_uae. They sent me a full electric oven. It's been a month where im chasing souq and the seller for a return and a refund or a replacement, but i keep getting emails from souq that the case is closed and solved. And the item is returned while its still in my house. And every few days i receive a call from Geco ssaying they are coming to pick up the item. Nothing is happening! They keep lying to me and they are refusing to replace the oven with a gas one. Very very very disapointed at this unprofessional site! I hope they close down very soon. And i believe we should complain to the economic department / consumer rights to make sure we save each other from falling in this scam

Bought a TV from the infamous dod_uae... I know, so many must have fallen for this scumbag-cheapest prices and all. Found the TV to be faulty. When I raised a complaint, souq.com was quick to cancel and issue a return. That's where the drama started. It's been a month, their courier qexpress schedules a pickup every 2 days, and cancels the order. No reason given. When you call either souq.com or qexpress, all you get are "sorry sir, I can confirm your item will be picked tomorrow" responses. Seems the staff os actually coached on how to respond to queries because they already know what they are doing to their customers, especially when it comes to returns.
I can't wait for the company to go down. If management at souq.com thinks they'll survive with their guerrilla tactics, they should watch this space. Souq.com fallout is coming, sooner rather than later.
I will keep coming back here and mobilize all aggrieved parties until this scum-factory os brought down, by legal means or through social media. They deserve to go down. Hopefully the power of social media will play it's rightful role

I have been a customer of souq.com for over 2 years now. I have bought some good priced items and when they have delivered the right items, the service was great. However, for the orders they get wrong, they have terible customer service and people should avoid buying from them. It is worth paying a little extra for shipping for Amazon and have the peace of mind.

One laxer printer cartridge sent was the wrong model but I only discovered it when I tried to use it several weeks later. The returns policy is only 6 days. On another order, I ordered to iPad covers. They delivered zero of one and two of the other. Customer service would not arrange the delivery of the missing item as they have a "no exchange or replacement policy" - all you can do is return an item and place a new order so you double pay for shipping. I don't want a return or replacement - just the missing item delivered - but they don't see it that way. Will not use them again.

I bought what souq.com UAE claimed a new iphone, and after 3 monthes i had to fix it at Apple Store but ofcourse apple store refused to because the phone has been opened before and some parts inside are missing! And i've never tried to open the body ever! So that they sold a used and damaged phone. And when i called Souq.com they said "its not our probleme, you could have return it back only in 15 days" and they never said no its not used! They were okay with me telling them "I bought a new phone and turned out that its used"!

This is just a typical UAE poor run Business. Numerous item are fake and no one cares. I have been a seller here for years and the fees keep going up, up. And up. All they want is to make as much money as they can and don't care about the customer or the seller. They need to go visit eBay in the USA and see what a real company is like. It doesn't make sense to sell here anymore. Shipping companies they use are HORRIBLE, I repeat HORRIBLE. Both Aramex and Qexpress are a bunch of clowns. If I was the owner of SOUQ.com. I would feel absolutely terrible about running a company such as this. Must have no pride whatsoever. Please do yourself a favor and AVOID this company. Go to other sites such as Dubizzle where you can avoid this place and not pay the absurd prices for everything.

I ALSO have some bad experience, and I think everyone should be alerted about this.(dod_uae): dont deal with them.

One week before souq has presented may mobile mania.
That time I have seen an ipad pro 12.9 inch at 1099 AED as an offer only 3 pieces left.
I ordered the same(one piece) and waited for long time like 6 days.
Everytime i was calling them souq people were telling me that it is going to deliver between 7 to 10 days.

I patiently waited a long time. One day in the night at 10pm one call came telling that order is cancelled.
I was angry to staff and then they told no use they cancelled that order.

First of all, anything that offered by souq is taken from somewhere else( I think you understand what i mean). Normally refurbished one.

Secondly, they do not have any credibility over the materials they deliver
Third, whatever material they have given in offer section are only for attracting the people not for delivery(actually that item does not exist in their hand they just show some ads and attract all people and cheat peoples like this.

Customer_care peolpe are telling that nothing can be done.

Really the waste online service ever seen.
WADI and jado prado are far better than this

Friend bought a Tissot watch which turned out to be a fake. Dude paid 1500 dhs for what he thought was a good deal but got a 50 dhs chinese fake instead. The good or bad thing is that he has money so decided not to make a big deal out of it. But come on. The website sells a Karame watches and charges as reall. So be extremely careful when shopping with them but better go to a mall where you may overpay but be sure staff is real

I ordered an iphone from souq.com. Upon placing the order, i got to know that the item is refurbished one. Therefore I cancelled the order. Till now I'm yet to receive the refund even after 15 days.

I went through the skirt section of the souq.com website and came upon these beautyful shiffon skirts. On the ad it says LONG MAXI skirts, so I ordered a black and a aqua color. First the black one arrived, I paid for it thinking it was perfect. It was supposed to be large as I am a large. When I opened the packet, the skirt was shorter than short, just covering my butt, it was so small, I could not even get it on. I just think souq's pictures in clothing is very deceiving and they don't pick the correct sizes. I will NEVER order from souq again. They are a very disappointing company to deal with.

I placed an order and completed the payment through Sadaat Payment option. Once from bank transaction was complete i was redirected to Souq website where it showed me error that item in cart expired.
Now from bank amount already cut and transaction is successful. As per Bank the amount already transferred to souq so bank will not refund. But on Souq I can't find money in my account. I complaint to souq and operator said prove that u made the payment. Still no action from Souq.
