Ordered gas log set on 11/12. Salesperson said they were in stock and would ship the same day. Called today to get status of order. I was told it will be 8 weeks before they would get a shipment. Went to their website and they are still showing the same gas log set as being in stock. It's obvious they are taking orders for items that are advertised as "in stock" when in fact they are not in stock. Cancelled the order. Don't believe a word they say.
We love our new insert! The order process was easy, shipping was fast, and the insert was easy to install. It has a great, realistic look, and even helps warm the area - definitely recommend!
We purchased two Dimplex Revillusion 25" electric fireplaces - one for our home and the second, (after we had installed ours and our daughter saw it) for her home. The pricing was great and delivery was less than 5 days. Great customer service and support.

Customer Service is horrible, i got yelled at by stating that the order i picked is different what arrived. Beware of talking to * from customer support. She is not shy to blame the customer and telling what they do wrong.

Update: I received a call from Customer Service Manager,*. She was very kind and did her best to resolve my problem. I have received refund within 4 business days (~95% of my original purchase price). Thanks for that. Regardless, i should have never had to escalate this issue to begin with.

The fireplace gives a beautiful ambiance to the room.

I'm remodeling a house I recently purchased, and want to install a wood burning fireplace. In the past, I have had a great deal of experience installing/repairing fireplaces. I want a wood burning unit because I have an unlimited supply of wood, and don't want to be dependent upon gas or electricity. I was surprised when I discovered that manufacturers and suppliers hardly stock wood burning fireplaces any more, and are pushing customers to purchase gas and electric models. EFireplaceStore was virtually the only distributor I could find who sold the firebox and all the accessories I needed. I ordered a complete chimney kit, at a great price, and it was delivered quickly, in perfect shape. They are very professional and provide detailed instruction for those without prior experience. I give them my highest recommendation.

We ordered a surround and safety barrier package for our 50" double-sided fireplace. The manufacturer erred and sent only the surrounds. efireplacestore.com advised us to refuse the shipment and they would correct it. The follow through was great. After the manufacturer received the original returned packages, the correct item was shipped via 2-day delivery and works perfectly. We will definitely buy from again. The way a store handles errors is often more important than all the orders that were handled correctly. The efireplacestore employees were great and I did not have to leave a message and wait for a return call - nice to communicate with actual people!

Answer: Hi Ed, Thanks so much for your interest. That's a fair question as receiving freight shipments is not, generally, a normal part of the day for most people. Yes, the customer does indeed need to be present at time of delivery. This is to not only physically receive the freight but also to inspect it and sign for it. Most freight companies will not allow their driver to simply drop the freight without the customer being present. Regarding the unloading, there are two options listed below. These are common for online sales and delivery. You can choose "curbside delivery" which is free and will have the driver bring the freight to you but the unloading is your responsibility. Often, our customers will back up their pick-up truck the rear of the delivery trailer. That way the merchandise can be off-loaded into their vehicle and they can drive it right up to the home. Alternatively, you can choose "liftgate delivery" which includes a hydraulic tailgate on the rear of the delivery truck for lowering the merchandise down to the ground. This option carries a cost of $75. Once off-loaded to the ground, moving the freight up to the home is the customer's responsibility. Regarding "hidden costs" there are none - unless a delivery appointment is made and then broken by the customer. The shipping company levies a $130 redelivery fee to have the merchandise brought back out to the customer. However, this only applies if the customer changes their mind on the delivery appointment or the delivery address after the delivery has been scheduled. In either case, at time of delivery, it is very important that the shipment be fully inspected for loss or damage prior to the shipment being signed for and received.
