Website made it very easy to select and place our order, but after I placed the order our credit card company flagged it as fraudulent activity. After thoroughly researching Echovita and Blooms Today, I too was concerned based on their 1.6 customer service satisfaction rating. After contacting customer service and expressing my concerns, I'm happy to say that beautiful cut flowers arrived on time. While it wasn't what we ordered (planter with cut flowers) and probably not worth the price we paid, I'm just happy the family knows we were thinking of them. Next time I will contact a local florist directly.
Website made it very easy to select and place our order.
This was my first time ordering flowers for a funeral on the obituary website instead of a local florist. The flowers/plant wasn't delivered. I did get an email the following week stating that the order couldn't be filled and I was issued a refund. Then the following week I received another email asking ME to check with the recipient to see if the order was fulfilled.

The bouquet was delivered as shown on the website and the color scheme was lovely.
I ordered a peace plant. The order delivered was an arrangement of cut flowers. While beautiful, I ordered a plant that was not only symbolic, but a living plant that the family could keep. My daughter-in-law sent a thank you with a picture of the arrangement. Needless to say, I was disappointed.

The site was not intuitive and your request for review is not at all friendly
We had no clue who and where the crappy site came from, but it published our deceased relative's data on the site. We are not comfortable with them disclosing our family members' names, DOBs, and the Year of deceased, but they did all of that anyway. Very disturbing!
Quick an easy, found what I wanted fast, flowers looked great, would use them again
Ordered Flowers on a Monday, funeral was Friday. Got to the service and no flowers were delivered.
Very disappointed as I told family I would take care of ordering flowers. We called and was told that no local florists had picked up the order. I ordered in good faith that flowers would be there and found out from the funeral home that we were not the only family disappointed that he had had 4 or 5 other families that it happened to.Needless we will never use your services again! If we had not gone to the funeral no one would have known that flowers were suppose to be there and you would have my money.

Our records show that the refund for your order was processed on June 24th, so you would have already received your refund. When orders are unable to be delivered, Blooms Today will contact the customer to inform them and discuss other options. However, if the local florist assigned the order simply doesn't do the order and doesn't inform Blooms Today, that would result in what happened in your case. I'm very sorry this happened to you. You stated that funeral home said that it happened to 4 or 5 other families, which is odd considering your order was the only order we received for this service, so perhaps, they lied to you, were confused, or that was the total amount of times it happened regarding a service being held at their funeral home over the last 5 years, which would not be something that happens frequently. Thank you.

Ordering was easy and flowers delivered on time. However the bouquet was very small so service was way overpriced.

Answer: Candles, messages, and memories left on Echovita only appear on the obituary page you left it on Echovita. They do not simultaneously appear on the funeral home's website. No where on Echovita does it say candles, messages, or memories left on our website appear on the funeral home's website. First, I'd like to know where you saw a 1.6 customer service satisfaction rating because that would be a surprise to us. Second, your credit card company may have flagged the transaction as fraudulent because Echovita is based in Canada, however, we are an obituary website that serves both Canada and The United States. Some credit card companies flag Echovita as "international" because of this, even though, all of our flower orders are processed by Blooms Today, which is an American company who works alongside local florists throughout both Canada and The United States. Echovita is not owned by Blooms Today. They are two separate companies under different ownership, and are partners. The reason why Blooms Today would not provide you with the local florists information is because that is not how we operate. The order was made via Echovita in partnership with Blooms Today, so you must contact either of us regarding the flower order. It is similar to Ubereats. When you order on Ubereats you are ordering from a restaurant using the Ubereats platform and you are paying a service fee for the service they provide. Any discrepancies or modifications must be done with the service provider. Echovita facilitates to the user. We provide you with the service information and location, so that you, the user, can place your order quickly and efficiently without the hassle of having to find a local florist that can deliver to the service location. People order flowers for services all over the country to areas they are not familiar with, which makes it more difficult to find a local florist within the delivery area. Echovita and Blooms Today takes care of that for you.
