Don't buy from Easylife
August 29, 2018

Just been scammed, the usual story of them taking £59.99 for Easy life Motor Club in Cardiff. Others have been scammed as well. Don't give them your bank details

Absolute scam
July 23, 2018

My 93 year old mother was conned into joining Easylife motor club when she has never driven in her life and has never owned a car. She thought she was getting a £10 promotional voucher because she had bought something from Easy life catalogue. It would have been obvious to the call handler that my mum was hard of hearing and would not have heard or understood what he was saying. Why would you join a motor club when you don't have a car! Disgraceful preying on elderly vulnerable people. She has already had £1.99 p&p taken from her account. Bank contacted to prevent the annual subscription of £59.99 debited from her account. This should be a criminal investigation as they are targeting the elderly

I checked the delivery company tracker site today 16th July and found out that the order had been returned to Easylife at 08.08 this morning. Nothing has been advised to me by Easylife or Yodel about this. I wrote over the weekend asking for my money back and of course haven't received a reply yet. They said they can't cancel my order I must return the order when it arrives or refuse the delivery, to which I advised that they were in breach of contract and that it is upto them to recover the order from Yodel and refund my money. So they managed to get Yodel to return the order to me that has been in the hands of the Yodel driver's hands for three days undelivered but couldn't get Yodel to complete the delivery of the items I wanted and have been waiting for since 28th June. How incredible this experience has been. Let everyone who reads this review understand that no one should do business with Easylife.

They take your money, give you a delivery date then nothing arrives
July 15, 2018
Previous review

Having ordered 4 items and paid I received advice that 3 items would be with me in 4 days and the 4th item in 8 days. Then a notice sating all 4 items would be with me in 8 days arrived. Stayed in to receive the items that did not arrived. Sent a chasing e-mail and they responded 2 days later advising the order was still in their warehouse. 4 e-mails were responded to be them as if they hadn't read what was said to them. Sent a complaint to Resolve website and 2 days later received advice that the order had been dispatched. The next day they advised the order was with the delivery company and they had a link to enable me to follow the order. It took 4 attempts before I could get through to the delivery company 'Yodel' and they showed that the order has been collected by them and would be dispatched, then the next day the tracker said the order was with their driver and would be delivered that day. Mt midday nothing had arrived so followed the tracker to find the driver's mobile and called it but it wasn't answered and the voicemail similarly hasn't had a response. Now the next day after the latest date for my order to be delivered Yodel's tracker advice hasn't been updated and still nothing has arrived. So ordered goods, paid for them and they should have arrived within 6 days, instead 19 days later nothing has arrived. I have e-mailed cancelling the order and demanding my money back, but it takes at least 2 days before they reply to e-mails, plus it is impossible to get through to their helpline without having to wait for 12 or 15 other callers in a queue to be answered first, so no way of actually being able to get the order or get my money back. These people are thieves.

Stealing from the elderly
July 13, 2018

I have bought items from Easylife Group and have been pleased with my purchases, but I now find that Easylife has given my contact and financial details to a third party, Easy Life Motor Club. I was telephoned by EasyLife and offered a 'free' £10 petrol voucher, which I thought was a promotion because I had bought items from the store. Turns out it cost me £1.99 in postage and it was never received.
To my surprise they then wrote to me and said I had five days to cancel a £59.99 subscription to the EasyLife Motor Club. I responded by sending two e-mails on 11 June and a confirmation letter canceling the subscription, and voicing my displeasure. On 12 June, just to be sure, I visited my bank, and the bank manager kindly contacted EasyLife, who said they would cancel the subscription. On 13 June, EasyLife took £59.99 from my bank account. The bank has told me to take the matter up with Easylife, who cut you off as soon as the Motor Club is mentioned.
I'm 86 and don't need this kind of hassle. My worry is that the group will perform this scam next year, and there does not appear to be any protection from it.

I made thje mistake of showinmg some poliyte intyertest in thne so-called Motor Club.
This cost me £1:99 plus £59:99 in totally unauthorised deductions from my card, details of which, I had already repeatedly asked them to wipe from their records.
After MANY phone calls and much prevarication, a so-called supervisor rang, not to listen to my complaint but to arrogantly tell me that I was wrong and that it was already decided that they were keeping the money!
How much further can you get from customer service or ethical banking!?

So called Super Card
May 1, 2018

I received a phone call from this company saying they were starting a Super Card and wondered if I was interested, having brought something from them in the past. I said I would look at the correspondence when it arrived in the post. Nothing arrived, however I noticed they had taken £69.95 from my bank account, without my agreement. I rang them and they said they would cancel it, but I cancelled it through my bank as well, as I really dont trust them.

I had the misfortune to order a Shoe Ottoman from this company recently. The delivered item was left in the foyer of the building, outside the interior security doors of the block, with no delivery note. Fortunately our residents are honest. Assembly instructions were misleading and poorly worded. Eventually, the assembled unit looked good and seemed solid, but yesterday, two inner shelves collapsed - the problem being that the flimsy securing screws had worked their way out of the equally flimsy chipboard (?) shelves, leaving gaping holes (no longer usable), and causing a crack in one shelf, and the front plinth. I'm now left with the outer box shell - superb! A leaflet with the item states that once assembly has commenced, this item is non-refundable, totally contrary to sale of goods and distance purchasing law! I intend to call Easy life (?) on Tuesday 3rd April, after the Easter Bank Holiday break.

Scam Scam Scam
March 7, 2018

Please have nothing to do with this disgraceful organisation. I too was persuaded into receiving the introduction letter to the Motor Club despite telling the cold caller I was not going to agree to become a member. I was assured all I had to do was phone and cancel. I cancelled by phone on the day the letter arrived and returned the written cancellation slip but £59.99 was taken from my account 6 days before another letter arrived to inform we they were about to take the money. I never gave permission for my bank details to be passed to this group. I am furious and still waiting for my money to be repaid.

******AVOID EASYLIFE GROUP*******
January 19, 2018

After a small purchase from this company it has led my elderly parents having money taken from their account without their consent for a Motor Club, and Rewards Club. They should be ashamed preying on the elderly, absolutely shocking. I would advise anyone to avoid this company, it has caused so much stress and upset.

A shabby company
January 13, 2018

I was signed up to their Motor Club, but the caller offered me a petrol voucher (which turned out to be a complicated cash back scheme) and didn't explain they would take £1.99 from my credit card. They then took a further £59.99 from my card, even though I had rung to cancel. I've now got my £59.99 back, but it has cost me nearly £13 in calls to their premium rate call centre.
I will never shop with this company again.

December 18, 2017

Website let me order item saying 5day delivery... fine.
Confirmation page then showed delivery date for after christmas... NOT FINE.
Enquiry by email said out of stock til 13/12. NOT FINE
My online account details then said out of stock til 17/12 NOT FINE
Reply to email enquiry then said out of stock til 4/01 DEFINATELY NOT FINE.
Why can you place an order for an item which is out of stock?
Why do they keep giving false dates for restock?
WHY THE HELL DONT THEY TELL YOU ANYTHING?
Avoid at all costs... would have given no stars if possible

How are they still trading
December 18, 2017

Having had major problems in the past I just wonder how this company keeps on trading. With so many complaints (see your reviews) surely some authority should take action and put them out of business. Thought that was what Trading Standards was all about..

Nice doggy bed shame about the scam
December 3, 2017

I bought a dog bed. The customer service for that was good. I queried the delivery date with their customer service team online who responded promptly the bed came and the dog loves it. Then a few weeks later I was called at work and some chap was trying to sell me something with a £10 voucher. I was busy and he talked so quickly I told them to send the details in the post. Then I had a letter telling me my 14 day trial period was up and they were going to take £60 from my account.
In fairness to them I emailed and received confirmation straight away that the money would not be taken. I also alerted my bank not to authorise payments.

However they took £1.99 off my card without my permission at the start of the 14 day notice. I asked for this back which was refused. I have asked for copies of the phone call where I agreed they could take payment and am waiting to see what response I get.

After a bad experience of this company passing on my wife's phone number and card details on to other companies, I asked them to remove the details from their files. We still get phone calls from other companies and catalogues from Easylife. We know the other companies got the info from Easylife because they've spelt her name wrong. In future I can quite legitimately return the catalogues unopened as there is no one of that name living at this address

They have just scammed my 93 year old mum
They gave her debit card details to their sister company Easylife motor group and when she did not reply to an unsolicited and incorrectly addressed letter they took £59.99 straight from her bank account
This must be illegal and although they have promised a refund, what can we do about it Trading Standards or police.
So be aware this company are money grabbing crooks
