Delivery never received. Dasher very rude to the apartment manager. She left left my food on the managers door stating that there were too many old people and she did not have a mask. Manager states she was very rude. I reported this to door dash but they were very short with me since I didn't order directly from them. (The restaurant used them) I reported door dash to the restaurant and they gave me a full refund. I also left a scathing message to this particular person.
Horrible. Stay away. The app keeps sucking money off your credit card for the places that aren't open.
Their app isn't coordinated. Hard to get the money back for the undelivered food. The ratio of screw ups is about 2 out of 3.
It's not a properly set up company. If you have other options in your area- STAY AWAY.
Unbelievable. 2nd time I ever used yall and it'll be the last time. Maybe your drivers should pay attention on what they are grabbing, clearly the Receipt in the bag that the driver brought to me did not have my name on it had another person. Surprisingly when I go back to the restaurant boom there is my food with my name on the receipt. Smh but door dash management says its my fault. I'll take business else where
I was sent a coupon for $10 off $25 with an expiration date of 6/14. I try to use the code on my order before the expiration date and it said that the coupon is expired.
I have screenshots of the code sent and the message received when I tried to use it. Contacted customer service and sent them this information and the only thing they said they could do was credit my doordash account AFTER I placed an order! This is not right. I was told that it couldn't be given to me for my current order because they had no proof that it wasn't used, I sent them the screenshot of it saying the coupon was expired as well as my coupon with the expiration date and still was given no kind of help!
I'm furious at the situation at this point, no one even tried to help me even though what I said made perfect sense and the admitted it was a system error!
Never again will doordash be getting any of my money. I will write this review on every possible outlet I can find, I hope a $10 credit was worth the bad publicity.
I don't like being ripped off. Door Dash likes ripping people off. I place an order. Pay Tracking shows the restaurant is preparing the food, then shows the driver going to the restaurant to pick up my food then ORDER CANCELLED. The explanation was that there was no driver available to pick up my food. SO WHY WAS THE ORDER ACCEPTED IN THE FIRST PLACE? This has happened 3 times. A sticker on the bag says the order was double checked for accuracy. So how did my Del Taco 2 for $4 fish tacos only have one taco? I don'f think you can even order one fish taco but's that's all I got after DoorDash double checked my order! Adding insult to injury - DoorDash has been charging me $9.99 every month for a Dash Pass since December 2019! They kept this on the DL - every 3rd of the month they charged me $9.99 but did they email or text me with "Hey Dash Pass subscriber its another month and another $9.99 to us now here's what we can do for you". Ah HELL NO! Not a peep to suggest I was subscribed to anything! I never saved a dime on deliveries unless I was ordering the $12 for free delivery so I have no idea what the $9.99 a month was supposed to be for. Like I said I don't like being ripped off and if you don'eteither stay away from Door Dash because they're nothing but THIEVES!
Waited two hours for food they canceled my order and then they took my money without giving me back immediately I don't want to wait a week for my money so they can invest it and make more money for their company I want my money back right now
3rd strike with this company today. Incomplete order - restaurant won't help - they just send you back to DoorDash. You call and they advise you (after a long hold) they are not taking calls. Their chat always shows "agent offline." You have no choice but to use their email or try to resolve through your account. Problem is, if you try to resolve through your account, they say they are crediting you, BUT they don't explain that they are crediting your DoorDash account and NOT your payment method. UNACCEPTABLE. Also, with contactless delivery, our driver simply dumped the food by our front door and never rang the bell, knocked (we were home and in the living room) or called. If we had not gone back to check the status, we would not have known it was there (no idea how long it sat in the Phoenix heat before we happened to check). If you can't reach a company by phone, run the other way. I am done with DoorDash.
If you have zero problems on their faulty website/app, you might be okay. But if you even have to use customer service, then I wish you the best of luck.
Useless "staff" who only know how to tell you to wait, and then drop a copy and paste, and end the conversation. Do not expect help.
I will not be using DoorDash in the future. And no, Aaron from DoorDash, I would not like to partner my restaurant with DoorDash either. "I think you should give it a try". Hahaha, no.
I would give these people zero stars, were that an option.
My order was supposed to cost $70.20. After I authorized the order, that number inexplicably increased to $71.12. When it arrived, it was missing one entree. I returned to their website to seek remedy. What I wanted was for someone to deliver the missing portion of the order immediately. They did not make this option available. I settled for the "give a credit for the missing portion" option, since it was literally the only option they made available. (They did have a link for "ask for a different remedy" - but when I clicked it, it simply spun forever without opening, while my family's lunch grew cold.)
In clicking this link, I believed I was requesting that they credit my *credit card*. However, after I clicked the link (and *only* after I clicked the link), the page indicated that it was giving me $14.34 of credit on future Door Dash orders. I feel this is a deeply unfair business practice: I should not have to spend more money at Door Dash to be refunded for an order that their organization screwed up.
I then received an electronic receipt indicating that they had only refunded me $12.22; not $14.34. Furthermore, the receipt indicated that they had credited that to my card. A quick check with my bank revealed I have been charged the full $71.12, with no refund. I wonder if even the incorrect $12.22 credit actually exists for future orders? I very strongly doubt it, given that the receipt falsely claims to have already paid it to my card.
My dissatisfaction with this company only increased as I attempted to file my complaint. The two contact phone numbers for Door Dash (one of which I could only find on WikiHow) offered only a recording indicating that they would not speak with customers by phone, and that I should use the chat feature on the website or the app. There is no chat feature on the website, nor the app.
So, I searched and searched on the website until I found a buried customer service form. I filled out that form, checked the "captcha" box -- and discovered that what looked like a "submit" button at the bottom of the form was actually just a *picture* of a button, and could not be clicked. The form was a sham.
So, I returned to WikiHow to find an email address. I attempted to contact them by this method. When I sent the email, I received an automated reply -- telling me to use the same customer service form with the fake "submit" button.
It should not be this difficult (indeed, literally impossible) to contact a company, particularly given the massive surcharges they append to orders -- surcharges should which fund, in part, a system to handle the inevitable order screw-ups that will happen with a delivery service. No one expects them to get the orders right every time. But their customers should be able to reasonably expect better access to a solution when things go wrong.
Driver responded to no texts and just dropped and left. UBER East MUCH BETTER! This is not their first time either. I I have deleted their app and advise EVERYONE I SEE TO USE UBER EATS.
Stay away customer service is awful you can not submit a feedback app doesn't allow you or website is experiencing technical difficulties and the drivers don't use their thermo cooler bags
I used to like door dash until recently. I'd order food and the dasher picks up my food and drives the opposite way. You can see the map on the app as they drive away. This has happened three times. I've had to contact customer service and it's takes 5-7 business days for your money back
Door dash needs to reprimand their "drivers" who seem to work just get free food
I use door dash from time to time and tonight I ordered McDonald's and my dasher came and got lost in my trailer park so he called me and right away he was extremely angsty with me and kept cutting me off when I'd try to speak. I tried to explain where he had to go but he just wasn't listening. After a few minutes he said "I'm on royal boulevard" and I haven't lived here long enough to know where every street is that's why I try to explain how to get to my house when you first enter the park and I said "I'm not sure where you are", he said "well then I can't deliver your food" and hung up. Very rude. I mind you that him and I were only one the phone for a solid four minutes before he gave up. (Numbers blocked for protect his identity)
We used DoorDash 4 times during quarantine and 2 times we had issues. They have a section to provide special instructions for every item you order and the restaurants didn't follow those. Mistakes happen but DoorDash is not set up for good post purchase service. Last night we had to order dinner twice and got 3 out of 4 dishes came wrong the first time and the second time 1 was still wrong. The restaurant wanted to take care of it but DoorDash does not allow for that to happen. For the dish that was incorrectly served, that was $25.00, DoorDash wanted to give me a credit of $7.00. The restaurant wanted to refund the money but DoorDash says an order is completed once delivered and unable to process proper refunds. Even the restaurant said not to go through them and call directly and do take out. They have a lot of issues with DD. DON'T USE DOORDASH. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR GOOD SERVICE.
Terrible experience tonight. Seems the Doordash driver didn't feel like coming out to our address, so he drove home. I only figured this out using my Doordash app, when I saw him driving the opposite direction from the restaurant. When I contacted Doordash chat, they assured me that my order was still coming. After two hours, they suggested they apply my payment as a refund to a future order as the driver had indicated he was not going to deliver tonight's order. What? I indicated that I didn't want to be charged for the order (and the tip!) that never arrived, and I wanted not only be refunded but given some incentive to use their service again. Their best was $5 toward my next order. I tried to cancel my membership on the spot with the current Doordash chatter, but she disconnected my chat saying "you have not responded in some time so I'm disconnecting the chat" despite my immediate and fast typing response. This was just the worst and craziest customer experience ever. I definitely advise people to steer clear of Doordash - their poor customer service is going to catch up with you or them soon enough!
My experience was good at first. Delivery on time and the food was correct. They changed their policy like overnight requiring that you have 2 credit cards on file before you can check out. This is a form of discrimination. What happens if you don't have 2 credit cards and all this time you have been using one. Then they lied when you ask for help. I texted them 3 times regarding this matter and was told an email will be sent and to this date, I have not received it. The attitude I received from the chat was like they didn't care and during this pandemic, it helped to have a good delivery service. I'm disappointed.
I received a gift card for DoorDash so I signed up and tried to place an order. The order shows it used my funds, but it won't go through. I tried to contact customer support, but it is offline. Such a crappy service! It even asks me for my credit card to complete the order, which I don't place to share with this website.
I placed an order from a restaurant within 5 miles of my house. It wasn't delivered until an hour and 15 minutes later. By then, of course it was cold. When I called the restaurant they said that the order was done within 15 minutes after placing the order. When I contacted doordash, I was told that I had to speak to the restaurant about that. They are the delivery service! I was told that it was not doordashs fault. I was never given an explanation why it took so long to receive my meal. Never again
I ordered Italian food delivery from a restaurant in San Diego through DoorDash for my 90-year-old mother. I live in another city. Concerned about Covid-19 and the vulnerability of my elderly mother, I selected the option to leave the food at the front door and pre-paid the tip. When the delivery driver arrived at my mother's house, he repeatedly knocked on the door until my mother opened it. The driver was not wearing a face mask. After personally handing the food to my mother, the driver continued to stand there, smiling broadly, until my mother gave him an additional tip. The driver's conduct was appalling and needlessly endangered my mother's life. I will never use DoorDash again. I will tell everyone I know not to use DoorDash.
Answer: This place is a SCAM! Do not use this company ever
Answer: Grubhub has lower rates now. Even on restaurants with higher fees, it is worth avoiding Doordash
Answer: They first send you to a robot and then an outsourced person in India I believe. There is no communication between drivers and the customer service so it's unhepful
Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
